I'm not like you
you're not like me
on that
you and I
we can agree
but
strange to say
and there's no mystique
Snap!
we're really all the same
in that...
we are all unique!

diverse polar opposites~
pure friendship persists
They are so old-fashioned, these two peas in a pod.
I heard this from Jake, Fred, Sally, Victor and Maud.
Saw them in public, they were wearing century old clothes.
Why they dress like this, I doubt that any other pea knows.
Poetry and math - two peas in a pod.
Why then do you look at me so odd?
They’re both to discover and express
The simple truth beneath the mess.
They are so old-fashioned, these two peas in a pod.
I heard this from Jake, Fred, Sally, Victor and Maud.
Saw them in public, they were wearing century old clothes.
Why they dress like this, I doubt that any other pea knows.
Amidst the trials of history's flow,
Two leaders rise, with strength aglow,
Their nations' fate upon their back,
They stood, steadfast, with unwavering tact.
One, a name that echoes still,
FDR, the man with the iron will,
Through Great Depression and World War strife,
He led his nation, gave it life.
The other, a man of more recent days,
Joe Biden, with his own unique ways,
A steady hand in uncertain times,
A leader with heart, and with reason that chimes.
Like FDR, he bears a weighty load,
A pandemic, a nation, a world to uphold,
And through his actions, his words, his deeds,
He offers hope, and helps to meet our needs.
Though time may yet obscure their mark,
Both leaders share a vital spark,
A spirit of service, a drive to lead,
That sets them apart, in thought and deed.
So here's to FDR, and here's to Joe,
May their legacies forever glow,
For in their leadership, we see
The promise of what we can be.
We're off the charts alone! But we're
more off the charts together—a fact
that's evident and plainly clear.
Though opposites, they say, attract,
we are apart (but we adhere,
as two best friends who interact).
Each one more than one in a billion,
you and I rule the normal curve:
a point that's no sin or rude penillion,
but a blessing that we both deserve.
More than one in a hundred quintillion
together, we're the Federal Reserve!
We are like two peas in a pod,
with brains in quantum entanglement.
It's spooky how chance works, and odd,
how two minds so intelligent
can intersect in life. Only God
can be this good and benevolent!
peas in a pod
some say we were rather odd
one skinny and tall
the other short and small
opposites always attract
it has been a proven fact
we always agreed great minds think alike
every summer we couldn't wait to ride our bikes
or jam to Run DMC, Whitney to New Kids on the Block
no discrimination we liked r&b, pop, old school, and rock
spent hours exploring in the woods
we had such a wonderful childhood
luckily for memories we will never be apart
we put the good ol' days in a special place in our hearts
now that we are older we don't speak much
but over the years we managed to stay in touch
so happy things with you are going pretty cool
appreciate your friendship it is truly a jewel

Two peas in a pod
Two peas in a pod, we are like a family.
Two peas in a pod, the better half of me.
Two peas in a pod, she gets the best of me,
Like nobody else ever did, has, could, or would, do you see?
We are like two separate halves and three dimensional.
Like two fast cars, we need our petrol.
Like two shooting stars, she is my place to go.
Like water getting cold, she is my lovely snow.
Like a bull and matador, we are a rodeo show
And there are no clown cars in sight, only hope and sorrow.
Opposites attract, but we are identical.
We share the same sign, it’s astrological.
It’s written in our stars, our love is monumental
And who am I to complain; I’m unconditional.
A rose and a Rosé, liquid state of mind.
A red and a white, sleepy and party time.
Vodka and coke, it’s nearly closing time, sigh,
So I will have to be her aspirin, come morning light.
The bandage to her sore, I need to be her cure.
The key to her door, I want to be inside the head of mi amor.
The curtain has finally been called.
Here comes the final line, it is the only way to say,
I never said we were one and the same.

An exact duplicate, my son Scottie and me
Can read each other's mind, three times out of three
Can't get closer than that
Two real cool cats
He drinks caesars after caesars till I can't see
Where is it written countries must be at odds
All part of the big picture all peas in a pod
Some feel inferior
But no one's superior
All part of the overall scheme, no one is God
An exact duplicate, my son Scottie and me
Can read each other's mind, three times out of three
Can get closer than that
Two real cool cats
He drinks caesar after caesar till I can't see
I thank God every morning we have met
for the fun we have doesn't have a price
and the love we have we'll never forget
we both love sweet and sour chicken with rice
It is true we are two peas in a pod
and we both know that life is never fair
and we don’t share the same belief of God
Having you in my life brought it some flair
I’m almost a decade older than you
I know now age does make a difference
I know my love for you is always true
Maybe someday we’ll have that picket fence
This is much more than a marriage my wife
This is the greatest adventure of life
It doesn't matter
How far apart we are
In distance and miles.
That we've never had
The opportunity to meet face to face
What I do know is that we are 2 of a kind
You're the start and end of my day
We complete each others sentences
We know when the other is sad
We share our most intimate secrets
You're the best friend I've ever had
We've never met; It's a shame
Or shared a cup of tea but
I wish you knew how much I've grown to
love thee, my friend
Whether by accident or fate
Everyday, I am grateful to
Have you in my life and forever I am praying
That the best always comes your way
Two peas in a pod?
My April and me?
No, not at all,
I would not agree
She is all sunshine
laughter and light
I’m shrouded in darkness
too much like the night
She is artistic, outgoing
well read,
I’m the quiet, shy
redhead
But no matter what
my sister and me,
on one thing,
we’ll always agree
Our friendship is
tried and true
over the years
it grew and grew
deeply rooted as
Aspen trees
snug as a bug
a pod with two peas
Yes, I have to agree
though we are far apart
my April is closely
endeared in my heart.
