In a diaphanous café amidst the Parisien city's light,
Where lemon meringue waltz with dulcet delight,
Laughter echoes, filling shadows with glee,
A cerulean blue sky above sets dreams free.
Strings strumming lavender notes tones,
Mellifluous hues, a canorous concert unknown,
Vibrant chords dancing upon the air,
Susurrous secrets, elysian melodies so rare.
Hints amorous in coral empyreal sheen,
Zaftig's radiant smile, a mesmerizing scene,
Eyes shimmering with secrets untold,
A story of wistfulness waiting to unfold.
In the City of Lights, where dreams arise,
A summer's tale unfolds before our eyes,
As the sun aurified the skies in hues of gold,
And secrets of the heart elicit to unfold.
Beneath the stars that twinkle and ignite,
We dance to the rhythm of the Parisian night,
Inhibitions lose, our souls set free,
A taste of cynosure bliss, for you and me.

Parisian fields, starry nights
Sunflower seed pods droop
The darkness of a Dutch post impressionist mind
But to us, striking colors and contoured lines.
There was a poet from France,
Who thought he really could dance!
Up onto the Eifel tower he went,
Not walking straight but really quite bent.
Whoops and ooh-la-la!
Onto the French earth he fell..
Oh, poet dear, your very last tear.
Pooling and gleaming, ever so tragically
in your ear.
May you f'ind yourself, tout suite, in a warm,
welcoming, French poetry heaven!
With Victor Hugo, Honore de Balzac......
Charles Baudelaire and Albert Camus to name,
but a few.
Oui, mon ami!
Even as the soft cathedral bells so very
mournfully strike seven!

The skies of Paris were lit up
in 1940, when the Luftwaffe
rained down armament...
Burned again in student riots
in 1968, with the protests
against parliament
Then again an apartment block
In 2019, Feb, arson after a
neighbours' argument
And now the skies light up once more
In 2019, now Our Lady's flames
on the firmament

Lemon meringue sweet-laughter-light
fills shadows cerulean blue.
Café de Flore’s summer hot night
where dreams tangerine rendezvous.
Six strings strumming lavender notes
tones, violaceous lilac lace,
heartbeats' delicate music floats
on fanciful lilts ears embrace.
Conversation thrills with saffron!
Hints, amorous in coral blushed sheen,
lashes flirt, lush fluttered chiffon;
intentions are aquamarine.
French liqueur sipped, yellow chartreuse,
City of Light, summer hot bliss.
Inner glow - inhibitions loose,
watermelon lust; wet French kiss!
In Paris, was caught in the rain,
and it caused me considerable pain;
sidestepping a well,
in the river I fell -
they pronounced me completely in Seine
Parisian nights magical made for hand in hand walking
Along the light sparkling Seine,
Across bridges running to old left bank enclaves
Magic nights soft city lights
Footsteps echo into alleys
Taxis purr catlike in misty morning dew
Who walks in these early hours just before dawn?
Bakers rolling croissants, freshly baking
Deliveries of flowers, papers, breads
All in sleepy just light …
You and I, hand in hand, find our way home
Under flowering purple trees
to a sweet navel of glutinous oracle
sticks the fairytale makeup
because the model caressed the tree
since the model recognizes the apple
as the model eats the grass
a carrot from Hollywood paradise
a green salad with organic smelly
The prize? Chocolat,
warm, with a pinch of chilli.
Go ahead...it's dark.
Heady aromas
Swirling along banks of Seine
