Premium Member Louie Tazioli's Parakeets

     Louie Tazioli owned parakeets
     Cheaper than dirt when he needed a tweet
         Louie’d just pinch their rears
         They’d scream, let out hot air
     Anyway, Louie knew just one word – ‘Sheet’

Premium Member Colorful Parakeets Nursery Rhyme

Four little parakeets; green, yellow, blue and white.
Your names are such a delight...
Kiwi, Lemon, Blueberry and Cheesesteak!
You live together in a bird cage both day and night.
Oh! What colorful and fun pets you make!

Premium Member Parakeets, I Have Loved

Years ago, I had two pretty parakeet birds,
the girl, I called Sky for she was blue like the sky;
Forest was hues, both were hard to describe in words,
sometimes, I opened their blue cage so they could fly !

The girl, I called Sky for she was blue like the sky,
in time, they became lovers with kisses and tweets;
I sprayed them with water and they flapped wings to dry,
they both sang loud and could be heard for many streets !

In time, they became lovers with kisses and tweets,
then, the landlord said, "your parakeets, they must go;"
on their last day I gave my birds kisses and treats,
and I found a home for them with a friend I know !

Then, the landlord said, "your parakeets, they must go,"
Forest was hues, both were hard to describe in words;
and I found a home for them with a friend I know,
years ago, I had two pretty parakeet birds !

Premium Member Sweet Parakeets

Sweet parakeets, an ardent couple make-
at peace together in their cozy cage.
Each other's company they both partake-
and with a kiss, to show their love, engage.

At peace together in their cozy cage-
one wouldn't think emotion they could share.
But yes, they do- as both of them assuage
the comfort of a love that says they care.

One wouldn't think emotion they could share;
each other's company they both partake
the comfort of a love that says they care!
Sweet parakeets, an ardent couple make.

The Summer Parakeets

We all were put into a cage
To be a show in a wintry land,
Spaced out along a metal perch
To spread our plumes to your command.

The best laid plans can go astray,
And in containment lies escape.
The open door, and we flew away.
Your hand brought down the lock, too late.

We swoop and soar, and the sky can hear.
We are jazz trumpets, we sing the sun.
And in the miles of sound and air,
We are the wings of a tropic song.

The trees are camouflage, our home.
We perch, and scan the world around.
And now on scented air we roam,
And never touch the solid ground.

So glimpse us gladly in plain sight,
And hear our song from tree to tree.
As we break shelter and take flight,
The element has made us free.

And you could feel the world in spin,
The patterns in the altitude
To store against the winter's wind,
And pour like sun on clouded views.

Premium Member Parakeets and Canaries

There are parakeets
and canaries flying here.
Gone from the pet shop,
they have escaped their prison
and are free to fly the sky.
