Years ago, I had two pretty parakeet birds,
the girl, I called Sky for she was blue like the sky;
Forest was hues, both were hard to describe in words,
sometimes, I opened their blue cage so they could fly !
The girl, I called Sky for she was blue like the sky,
in time, they became lovers with kisses and tweets;
I sprayed them with water and they flapped wings to dry,
they both sang loud and could be heard for many streets !
In time, they became lovers with kisses and tweets,
then, the landlord said, "your parakeets, they must go;"
on their last day I gave my birds kisses and treats,
and I found a home for them with a friend I know !
Then, the landlord said, "your parakeets, they must go,"
Forest was hues, both were hard to describe in words;
and I found a home for them with a friend I know,
years ago, I had two pretty parakeet birds !
