Pacified Poems | Examples

Each inch of my niche

The whirlwind rolled in rings at the eyewall,
Wild gale blew through the open tropical field.
I'd forgotten to close the windows tight,
And the ensuing rain inundated each inch of my niche.
The hurricane hurriedly stripped the veld of its peace.

Dry air pacified the expanse of the grassland,
The massive flood drained into a sunken cesspool,
My thoughts swayed to the windows the storm had slammed,
Now a zephyr traverses the meadow's breath;
Calmness fills the eye of the once-raging storm.

Premium MemberMoney Pig

The day they proclaimed addiction to be a disease
is the day drug abuse spread like a weed
The powers that be profit from prolonged disease
not so much from personal responsibility
they legalized dope to keep people pacified and numb
then lay tax on the working man-play us for chumps
They've turned this country from a cool place to be
into a red-hot mess, the needled and syringed lining the streets.
Nancy was right when she said just say no
now they have grass and gas stations
in deep blue tongued Colorado.

Some want to categorize obesity as a disease.
the cure for this one is simply quite easy
shut your pie hole and start moving your feet.
There's way too much profit in treating "disease"
That's why cures occur so very rarely.
Once a person is cured the money pig thins
it dies in the stye with the profit margin men.

Premium MemberSpring Arrival

How the birds chitter chatter and the church bells ring.
Daffodils fill the graveyard and are picked by passers-by.
Families attend the spring fair where a florist sells arrangements.
The chided children are guilty of picking flower petals but are
Pacified by their parent’s sternness by partaking in a Spring dance.

Dancing deer dart away out of view in the village field.
Freshly hatched chicks are made victims of the foxes.
But not before the farmers so threaten their temptation by
A gunshot or two.
Another Spring rainfall, the grass greener and greener still.

Dogs are walked in the woods where children accompany wilfully.
They attend church with holy communion and in his honour bread and wine is consumed.
In his remembrance of his resurrection, it is such a ritual, and they are thankful for his offering.

FISH AND WATER

     The fish's home is
      the free water...
       running,
       or pacified,
       rippling or calm...
      not in aquariums subjected...
        be it;
         sea,
         river,
         lagoon,
          Water... !

Memories of Nana

She promised we would see again,
The trailing night was a restrain.

She wanted to see me some years ago,
Couldn’t see her even to say hello.

Raging hearts were yet to be pacified,
Her late coming wasn't yet justified.

She promised we'd see again in the fall,
But mortals cannot see all nor know all.

Her mind plummeted into the night,
She was a shadow in the light.

Slowly she eased into the beyond,
Pulling apart our newly found bond.

My Senses

The sun is shining. Rays of light shine upon my skin, and my inner light within assists me in me being incandescent. I emit light. I am luminescent. Reminiscent of the morning star I shine bright, and brighter than light itself. I know myself and it is important to know thyself. I breath in the Earth's air, and I yearn for the sweet taste of my favorite fruit , a pear. The taste of the fruit tickles my tongue, and I hear myself giggle. The juice from my pear trickles down my chin, and I see I have eaten every part of the fleshy fruit, once a beaute, and now all that is left if the core. The core of me, the part of me that is central to my existence, is living. I can smell the fructose on my breath. My appetite is not pacified, but it is close.

Premium MemberIf He has Isolated You from your Family and Friends

if your partner has to be mollified and pacified
If he pouts and makes fun of you unless you out-guess him
If being around him makes you feel like you are tiptoeing around glass
If you spend your days trying to outguess his angry moods

If you have been isolated from your family and friends

If everything you do or say has to be careful and deliberate
in order to not receive his wrath, and his disdain
know that you can do better.
And you should.

Premium MemberGODS SCHEME- Ariddleculous Haiku? IN TIME?

A cat meows a dog barks.
When where when there then a dog
meows? A cat barks? Sunset
Sunrise! The complexions! New skies
 complexions new surprise?
It BEGINS AGAIN?! This TIME Sunset!
Midnight flare? How then? It can?
A silent cry quiet night.
There the DEATH OF DIE!
The sun has begun again to spin.

Sunset line! THREE morning TIME!
A CAT meows a dog barks.
BRILLIANT SUN LIGHT! Where is the
shade? Sight? There IS NOT the NIGHT!
Here was there DAY, DAY and DAY!
No was any more DARK! No misery
To spark the GLOOM! a kitten purrs
Perfectly pacified this is definite
DEATHof DIE! Originally expressed
As LIE. All IS persistently in SILENT
OF QUIET. NOTHING JUST DEAD DARK!
Is this a riddleful DREAM?! This IS
REAL? No this IS JUST the GODS SCHEME!
THERE the ANKH! IN THE SKY!
YEAH! Death has DIED! All IS now
Alive! We live we live we live WE LIVE!
WE LIVE!

Broken Melody

Broken pottery  with
verses that carry screams
 leather than
sounds of melody
makes my heart heavy
with sorrow try to
change the tune but the
always find a way to make
echos in the hills of my
mind

As sit alone in loud silence
with thoughts endless like
tomorrow only chatter
I get is from a clock on
the wall & at night sounds
of Crickets wish me good night

With troubled aheart like a newly
born un Pacified by it's mother's
milk  only embraced by the cold
like  a cock at dawn with crys
in the air but the sun seems to
never rise

To the Best Teacher Ever

To the eyes which guided us
through the dark and the light;
Which watched our smiles
and twinkled at the alluring sight.

To the voice which pacified us
through the stormiest of days;
which taught us everyday
and lesson after lesson.

To the heart which freed us
from the ties of pressure;
Which saw not just a student
but a child with a million dreams, in us.

To the best teacher ever, who could
see the sleepless nights behind our marks;
Who could teach the most boring lesson
and still touch our hearts.

To the best person ever
the most compassionate of all;
Who inspired us to be humble
and be who we are.

Dedicated to my 10th Grade English Teacher
We love you ma'am...

The Beauty of War

The beauty of war,
Arms are laid to rest,
Tolerance is imbibed.

The beauty of war,
Peace is appreciated,
It's no longer a second fiddle,

The beauty of war,
Its pangs restrain us,
The losses refrain us.

The beauty of war,
History archives it,
The unborn learn and blend.

The beauty of war,
Recrimination is reconsidered,
Raging hearts are pacified.

The beauty of war,
Togetherness is entrenched,
Its foundation is reinforced.

The beauty of war,
Humanity is esteemed,
Nature is haloed.

Untold

Untold are the steps I would take,
How many more will lead me to redemption?
I only go through a door,
I don’t know the mileage.

Untold is the turbulent waters I'll wade through,
Where do I meet the shore?
My feet are at their best,
Hope is my propeller.

Untold is the dark skies overhanging,
My thoughts push through the gloom,
Anticipating the radiant room,
When will I bask in a season of light?

Untold is my sojourn,
When do I get to the tranquil region?
I see signposts,
It’s an aerial view.

Untold is the seething cauldron,
When will it be pacified?
 The ambience is stifling,
I seek the serene stream.

Premium MemberBlack White Yellow Red

Black, white, yellow, red, to the Fed we are just sheep for herding, those defiant put to sleep – know governments with evil have got into bed, knee-cap the rule of law, resulting in crime and greater fear, no hope for a society living with constant dread – Destroy their non-compliant God! State to take the place, as Stalin, Hitler, Mao righteously said – Demons wear suits and fly private jets – the rest of us back to horses and buggies, pacified with lurid performances, manipulated into being mindless druggies –

Lake of Consolation

No face, stared longer at
Ripped away, repellant
When from off others
As this sunned, consoles for
Your own smooth water's.

Sat and slumped, down-hearted
There before, of whom rise
Again, pacified!
Glum, wavy-lined only
When itself, storm-tried.
