WE’RE NOT POWERLESS

We have the power
To overpower mongers;
Let’s out-power them:-
With powering faith and hope,
Let’s reflect empowerment!

Bad Manicure

No I don't like long nails
And yes my relationships end soon
But it hurts because I care about my relationships more than my nails
The nailpolish doesn't stay on usually
And my acts of love aren't compromised
But the only stain that gets deeper into my heart is of heartache
I bite my nails often
And trust my love a lot
But at the end the claws of lust are the ones that overpower

Premium Member the dogs and I

I sit and write on the dog porch
an area we had fenced in for our two loves.
Giant puppies who often overpower us.
Not intentionally.
But they can knock me over with a tail flick.
I am heavy, but I am old.

Premium Member - The Stings Of Death -

~ The sting of death will always bring pain ~ grieve in peace ~
                                                                       quote by poet

Every day he brings flowers to the place where the ashes are buried
      The pain is at times unbearable, a dark g a t e
It takes years to learn to bear grief with grace and acceptance
Thoughts surround, envelop and overpower him completely
      He can barely m u t t e r her name without crying
      She placed her smile as a blooming j e w e l
      Touches the s h a d o w, angels don't fall from the sky

Premium Member Time Traveler

    As Time Traveller through ages
getting scope to watch and assess
     Civilisation on progress
     struggling in different stages.

World full of of lies and malice
each person , state, country or race
to be ready to start and face
a life style , free from prejudice .

      One Religion ' Humanity '
       to be accepted globally
        being perfect rationally :
       For progress, that’s priority.

       Difference in religion
       and attempt to overpower
are reasons of conflicts and war.
      ‘ Humanity’ : the solution.

      Humankind still uncivilised,
      not respecting moral values .
Truth and honesty of no use.
      Love and compassion, not realised.

     Time traveler sending messages :
     ‘Love for all be spontaneous
      Be righteous, not religious.’
      Eternal truth runs through ages.

Premium Member Dreams Within Dreams

My eyeballs move as though witnessing scenes within eyelids.
Face, just like obeying commands of some far-off spirits, skids
Heaven, with the triune god and the angels illumine
I cross the boundaries and reach all realms beyond human

Truth and untruth are tenderly mixed like milk and water.
Where's my skill gone that culls out shapes from mud as a potter?
There's a sensation. It's like the touch on a touch-me-not.
Between what's seen and unseen, known and unknown, there's a knot.

As a small drama that is enacted within a long play
Does the unsaid truth sparkle, piercing the veils of each ray?
Do the deeds of good overpower the deeds of evil?
Between brain, bones, blood, nerves, and muscles, there's an upheaval.

Sitting aside my flowing stream of thoughts and thoughtlessness
Do I, the dreamer, discover my own dream's plotlessness?
Cuffed with cautions, causations, cognitions, and cogitations
Aren’t each dream and the dreamer bound by vague limitations?

Premium Member Understanding Love

No one can wholly understand love
Love is never what one thinks it is
Love often comes as a snippy surprise
As a starry shock stemming from above.

Love is a hieroglyphic puzzle
Love has the power to muzzle
Shackle, overpower, direct and destroy
Love can be a very volatile or hazardous toy.

As soon as one is somewhat comfortable
Love shows her ugly fangs on the table
Love is not always a beautiful spring.

Love behave like a cunning chameleon
Love behaves like an uncommon phenomenon
No one can completely comprehend this thing.

Dancing Nightmares

Dancing in the rain of my madness
Singing songs of heartbreak and plight.
Laughing and crying, twirling and thrashing
There is no sunshine without the night.

Walk with me through the storm clouds
Feel the lightning, embrace the wind.
There is a party full of well-dressed nightmares,
You are all more than welcome to attend.

They have glasses full of bitter-sweet sorrow
tiny cakes flavored with regret.
Crunchy chips seasoned with humiliation,
The ice cream, topped with tragedies you can't forget.

The intoxicating music is loud and chaotic,
you can't help but break out in dance.
Multiple genres swirling and blending
They'll overpower you if given the chance.

It's much too dark here for most,
No worries, you are secure.
Here, you are safe to feel and react
release all of yourself, be pure.

You can't have hope for the future
if the past holds captive your heart.
So dance with the well-dressed nightmares,
Please get to know them, then let them depart.

Premium Member my tribe

some people retain their natural goodness
from their babyhood days, doing the right thing
these are the thinkers who wait their turn
do not jump in and correct people or overpower other’s thoughts
by interrupting, cajoling, teasing, or being devil’s advocate
I like these people. they are included in my tribe
I know ten of them; they are my posse
they are wholesome and kind
often do not get along with each other
but they all like me
that is what I have to go on
and count on

Premium Member Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock
Filmed movies about folks which stalk.
If you watch one, don't let your fears overpower
You, or you'll never get into the shower!

Hitchcock is known to have been very fond
Of beautiful ladies whose hair was quite blond.
Kim Novak and Grace Kelly
Make men's brains turn to jelly,
And, also, this filmgoer to respond!

Ten times, I've watched every film Hitchcock has made!
Let's watch one in my lonely motel, can I persuade?
You know, maybe, one thing might lead to another,
But I'm not sure it would be OK with Mother.

Premium Member Anti-Power

The strong are always to blame for the powerless:
The rulers come up with the best of intent
It doesn’t take efforts to overpower us
Having police and stern judges at hand
Once deemed as the victims of a failed state
We turned up to convicts for waging a war
Though war is not ours to make, its too late
Our explanations won’t work anymore
The world is in full right to its imperfections
It uses quite often this right to impose
Further restrictions, in spite of objections
Why should it happen this way, no one knows
Proficient philos deny a free will
Well concealed apophatic god makes a call:
Some live in peace, some are destined to kill
Some are claimed guilty for nothing at all
Servants of power, warriors of cancelling
Criminalize me as much as you can
Ban all my cards, stop me from travelling
Save from my coming your prosperous land
According to the conservation of matter
I’m your anti-power, with all that implies
In your fictional wholeness I’m one of the shatters
Living one of those many fragmentary lives.

Premium Member Captains Suspicions

There are pelican prints on this map the suspicious sea captain said.
We all denied seeing a fowl using his desk, for we wanted our heads.
He had a cutlass and was not afraid to use it on any of us.
I know you know about Peter, he said. He’s an ornery cuss!

Peter the Pelican is actually trying to get us all to agree.
To overpower the captain and have a gay mutiny
We did not know what to do, so we lied through our teeth.
He did not believe some of us, we walked the plank and fell underneath.

Awaken, smile, and glow!
Curtains of warm sunshine
come get a taste of me!
I will only match you,
let’s blend dynamically;

Awaken, smile, and glow!
Pedal to the metal,
rush that starting gate hard;
‘Let up’ does not exist;
Always play your wild card;

Awaken, smile, and glow,
merge don’t overpower;
Become a blinding light;
Join hands and unify,
keep the message forthright;

Awaken, smile, and glow
let the rain hit your face;
By a lightning strike shocked,
hang on tight to zeitgeist!
Ideas bleed, unlocked.

       Make attempt to improve society
Moral values of life, each to capture.

At end, Global Utopia to build.

        Drive out malice, violence, corruption,

Premium Member Earth Eulogy

Earth Eulogy

By Mark D. Stucky
She was a good planet,
put to death in her prime
by a pandemic of people.
Homo-sapiens was a disease
with mutating and metastasizing
technological and industrial pus,
emitting environmental toxins,
exterminating flora and fauna,
until the infection’s surge
triggered its own extinction.

Vaccines of ecological education
and environmental regulations
could not overpower
the pathogen’s resistance.

When the global viral load
caused ever-rising fever,
Earth suffered convulsions
and, finally, Gaian coma.

Other sentient souls
amidst the starry galactic mist
will surely miss you very much.
Rest in peace, dear Earth.
