alcohol and youth and us,  
strangers in the night?

A course of pain and pleasure,
inexorably
set - do you regret we're not
strangers in the night?

My eyes admired your beauty

My heartbeat called out to you
distance seemed to grow
turned your head and smiled again

so far I'm fairly unimpressed
I keep wanting to give you chances

In the dark of night at sea- 
like old ships, they pass.
One goes East, the other West;
strangers in the night.

At that moment, when they meet,
they stand equally.
Then continue on their paths-
till they pass again.

Sky gazing

the evening spreads its veil
we await the rising of the moon
~ getting ready to count stars

nightmares blooming in color
like a midnight fire
casting its embers into
tomorrow's dawning

with a blood red sun burning
into the new day
the shadows of doom refuse
to die in the Light

Half a Minute

Weighing up peace, love, and rage
wait a half-minute
you lose all the momentum
losing lines on stage

To you, I'm a fleeting breath
half a minute's worth
when you are my endless sky
casting a shadow

It's a cry for attention
it's as loud as loud can be
~ how many ways to ask
