Reverse Osmosis of Life
It’s a two way street
The way reality exists
Divided into truth on one side
And illusion’s delusions the other,
And yet the most fascinating aspect
Is the membrane that exists between the two
A membrane of I don’t know what,
But which I’m sure the ancients had a name for,
Which divides, insulates and yet connects
And filters through cosmic osmosis
The personal and transpersonal,
Or you could say the mortal and immortal.
Sometimes I can feel the membrane at work
Seeing it even just beyond the limits of my mind’s eye
Knowing what it’s doing
As it transpires
Because I am in fact on both sides simultaneously
At least to some degree.
Everything after all is an extension
And expression of Life,
You, me, us,
In whatever forms it finds us
From refined and subtle to coarse and gross.
The other night I dreamt of being a bridge
Not a figurative one, but literally
An object with girders and cross members
Able to span a stream or gully.
It didn’t surprise me, just intrigue me
That the creative nature of the Mind
Is what it is
And in fact, is all there is.

Ephemeral eternity — covers osmosis pinnacles
In a loving natural roots, nostalgia never fails
Welcomed. . .we wander — and cry
It slinks slackly not dwelling in the gloom. . .
Gestalt therapy in sepia tones offers an odd view,
Instant mete hourglass, scythe, magic mind wing
Proper, shining ruined glass before filters and pixels,
Cracks reveal truth, and hazy images evoke memory;
Digitally altered shots provide unadorned faces,
Silver stones — crumble under soggy streams
Love consists of endless childhood dreams,
We whirl, win, wildly in a whirlwind
Instants creep slowly — yielding assets to discard
Time lingers while instances ripple vastly.
It unfolds and emits a sticky—spirited symphony
Transitional winds blew as we breathed and linked
Instants ticked slowly but rose quickly.
Glide into golden heat of the calm night hour
Ashes rise on a summer's sigh in the breezy sky
Soaring over the willows, peacefully fly.

The glossy acrylic smell of new editions
is cordite to my nose,
an explosive mixture of - need to know.
I finger trawl over dust covers
mindreading unread masterpieces.
Movies ransacked many of these novels,
hearsay and word of mouth
account for aisles
of open secrets and
commonly revealed revelations.
I should obtain a dozen or so acclaimed sagas,
display them on a prominent shelf –
because, well, one really ought to,
or maybe just read last chapters,
if not too long.

”Enabled by divine love magnetism warm ~
Allow love and light to permeate our form”
~ quote by poet
If wisdom of sages we wish to ingrain,
we must choose to shed resistance and be still,
that divine grace may slowly cleanse our soul’s stain,
allowing light to osmotically fill
voids within form and free us from ego chain,
that prevents us from surrendering our will.
Moment by moment, all moments so entwined,
in staid stillness, our consciousness is refined.
Love employs no force and so opts to go slow,
piercing our consciousness slowly, drop by drop
but assures us gently that we’ll be aglow,
enlivened by its flow that never does stop,
for if we be pure, God is sure to bestow,
love and light eternal, with bliss the backdrop.
Exit oh hermit, self-imposed hypnosis,
that soul reclaims inner light by osmosis.

Oh hermit, imbibe bliss
osmotically now,
offering God our heart,
outpouring compassion,
orbiting the love pulse
omnipresent, shifting
opaque veils of ego.

Standing next to stupid,
pale tone idiocy
can’t even proximity spell
moral illiteracy
Ignorant feelings blinded by color;
stunted neural moles moving backwards
behind a non-lucid, Luddite veil
Vacuous thoughts unruly did
beta wave at the cloth
Amidst the mindless mob mentality,
moronic orations ran amok —
Inane utterances blabbered freely
Wiping their void secretions
upon the snot rag
of civil discourse devolution
Rebel ignorance is a kin
to grey matter dim
Blue-ray vision
of a depleted cerulean era:
Haughty sovereign time-share hastily closing
Those dull white cells
are persuasion immune to wisdom —
Aural epiphany fails
Slug osmosis, diffuse mannequin ideas move dummy slow
Porous understanding filters
Dark past emotions eclipsed by an unpaid debt tomorrow
Ancient bigotry has grown Babble Tower,
talking mule stooge stale
Fresh refugee scapegoat anger now
smart monkeyshine sells
Empty conscience quotient
is bosom bury downright low
Hateful imagination is
dunce concentration detestable
Standing too close to stupid
will severely
reduce one’s mental acuity

I study the ache that falls from your fingertips,
swim in the crest of your delusions,
and quarrel with the demons
you’ve created.
Right along side of you.
I hear the shake
between your bones,
that nervousness you
try to hide with wobbly
laughter.
You spill unto me,
as the gait of your
verse stumbles up
my spine;
retinas wince
under the weight of
every word.
Nothing has ever
been so hard to read,
but I cannot look away
from you.
We’ll get through this,
together.

Once, as a traveller in a far off land
on palm lined beaches ‘neath a golden sun,
I gazed in wonder at the stretching sand
and knew at last where paradise had begun.
For wrinkled tide washed beaches and blue seas
showed ancient Gods so well our passions read
and stamped celestial knowledge on the place
where us mere mortals made our earthly bed.
Placed on a pedestal, that reached up to the sky,
mankind was gifted by our heaven’s grace
to live where beauty always blessed the eye
...but half the world is now mankind’s disgrace.
This boundless heavenly gift for all to share
by Man's own hand becomes so very rare.
