Nuclear in Norway
Should the Russian army occupy Northerner Norway, they know the way
Last time they came and helped chase the Nazi army out and freed us was in 1945
Russia was popular after the war, Stalin was called Uncle Joe
This scared the USA it quickly sent the Marshal aid
there was a geo-political shift despite open borders
Relentless propaganda made Russians into monsters, but despite this, the borders were kept open
Norway is now embraced in the arms of the US/NATO yes it is the same thing they have 17 bases mostly up North
but has few troops to speak of, should the Russki come
there will be no help from Sweden, is not attacked
and declare neutrality as they did in the Nazi war
The North of Norway is within the Arctic Circle and thanks to the golf current, has ice-free harbors, the best of all the North- pole is only a stone's throw away from the pole
of political interest for bigger nations
What will the US do if they can't shift the occupiers of a rich little country, full of oil and minerals?
Will Norway become the first nation nuked since
Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan

With remnants of mankind’s existence corroding
His lighting extinguished, his concrete eroding
The birds and the beasts have reconquered his space
Those same birds and beasts have forgotten his face
The forests, once dwindled, have burgeoned once more
Oak, elm and ash rupture old asphalt floor
Long vacant dwellings, now caves, dens and lairs
For ground dwelling mammals while bats live upstairs
The rivers all sparkle, their waters so clear
And large rusting pipes discharge nothing to fear
Waves tickle beaches, the breeze is their breath
With no evil lurking at periscope depth
Life springs abundant by land, sea and sky
Unhindered by species who weren’t meant to fly
Trees brightly clad in gold, russet and green
Alas, man cannot see how things could have been
And so all seems well but there’s still need of prayer
There’s horror to come from a long way… up there
This world, free at last, of man’s lethal know how
Could sure use a serving of man’s knowledge now
Unserviced and rusting, the launchers stand bare
No human stands ready; no missile sits there
Mankind had known that the space rock would come
And man would have nuked it… but he’s gone: Ho hum!

So the death sentence is lifted
I kicked cancers ass
They found no trace of it with surgery
free of that sh*t at last!
Now it's on to radiation
to become a spiderwoman queen
Not exactly what I want to do
but it erases all traces unseen
Those microscopic morsels
the little single cells
that may have escaped that toxic elixir
as we nuked them all to hell.
And they can find no trace of cancer
past the breast I am clear
And it was a lumpectomy
so I still have the breast, Oh dear!
And yes that heavy burden is lifted
my docs original decree
It was you have a 60 percent chance of being alive
in five years you see
And well I think the odds are now much better
something like 98
And for now at least I don't have to carry
that heavy weight.
It's nice to be back Artimus (C) Susan Manley 10:28AM 1/26/24

We both reach for a camera
both forget to click on the image
as a flight of rainbows takes wing.
Tangerine buds bloom into a sherbet fountain.
Orange and black ride a ray of sunlight.
“Phew, did you catch it?”
“No I got nuked by the moment!”
“Yes, better that way.” she replied thoughtfully.

We may be nuked by Russia,
As we have plentiful gas here!
Ukrainians, Russians, dying under
horror and pressure.
While inflation, keeps rising and
America sits on her rear!
Xi warned Biden, “ do not sanction
us!’ Yet our entire free world is at stake.
But our President thinks, it is far too
much of a fuss.
Some cold soul in our Congress,
Said, ‘just take a bus?”
Not every city has huge bus lines that
run day and night.
While Congress thinks of nothing?
Flying thousands of miles to get home.
leaving Americans in a plight!

With an unprecedented shortage of basic supplies
People worldwide are learning to be wise.
Loo rolls, medicine and the safety mask.
Making do with what we already have is the new task.
I’ve seen diapers and bras used as new safety covers.
Drugs for malaria and stool softeners as miracle cures, are just a few among others.
Even the orange headed one is coming up with new treatment ideas.
The new scene for loo rolls is now our expired tortillas.
Slowly thawed or quickly nuked with the microwave oven
Soft and abundant and recently discovered is the new lovin.
It might not be charmin, but equally as soft on the tush.
Biodegradable and able to flush, no longer needed is the backyard bush.

In desert dark nights
far away from artificial lights
A deep watch to shining stars
Glows and bright by your nuked eyes
feels so wonderful like approaching
among stars, but reading about or seeing
photos is another thing

Where are you, Nessie?
You, have lived so long,
an eternal legend…
Neptune’s companion.
Have humans murdered you?
Has oil’s black-death,
slick suffocated you?
Perhaps Fukushima’s burn,
has scorched your scales or
completely, nuked you?
Oceans of man-made chemicals,
frack-cracked earth may have fried you,
as you swam, unsuspecting.
Toxic, boiling waters,
are no way to die.
Such a death,
lacks the dignity deserved,
by a millennia-old soul.
Where are you, Nessie?
Perhaps your wisdom,
Could save us all…

Was it me?
Who have made all
The nuked wooden trees
Have told another story
That's not over.

Radiation they said, could be deadly
if used right, it may save your life
That tumor you have, that's on your left lung
cannot be removed with a knife
They said it is pressed, very close to your heart
with even a "nick" you could die
There's only one option, it has to be nuked
five doses turned up really high
Side effects? Yes there can be many
and continue for more than a year
Making you think, you are still on the brink
and you just can't get rid of the fear
Your mind must be occupied daily
with distractions that take you away
You lay down to sleep and reality's back
this is the time you can pray
Uninterrupted you take all your prayers
and keep them close by in your mind
Use them to carry you through the next day
your prayers may be answered you find.....

The leftovers were sitting there;
With just a little heating,
They’d make a perfect dinner,
One that I had planned on eating.
But there was just a tad too much
And yet out of the question
Was saving it, for by tomorrow
There’d be indigestion.
And so I nuked it all and ate;
My plate had several fills,
Which is the reason why I feel
Stuffed right up to the gills.
I could’ve thrown the extra out
But what I eat is based
Upon that old mentality
That food you shouldn’t waste.
So now I’m bursting at the seams
From everything I’ve tasted;
At least I’ll sleep content to know
No single crumb was wasted!

Starburst from a mid-night sky,
jettisons dreams from the sky-web.
Imagination's flight can be terror
for those who would cloud sky with plutonium-rot.
Grandmother Spider's tears
soak Earth's belly with toxic rains;
her sky-web glistens with crystal tears.
If not for the trees belching grayed-out oxygen;
no life could survive.
Tree branches wipe Grandmother's eyes;
each night fewer crystals adorn sky-web.
Grandmother's tears, plummet through acid skies
to a "Nuked" womb...
a ball of micro waved...uterine...dust.

There was a chef named Luke,
All of his entrees were nuked.
In every dinner he planned,
All of his food was canned,
And most of his patrons puked.
Now many patrons inquired,
Why this chef was never fired,
But his boss was anemic,
and very bulimic,
Which is why Luke was hired.
This Diner's reputation lags,
But the owner always brags,
That his dining auditorium,
is a modern vomitorium
With no need for doggie bags.
