to bleed free and eternal

Poor Paddy's wife thinks he is cruel
Because of his strict leap year rule
No leap year - there’s no gift
It's caused many a rift
But Paddy says he is no fool!
His wife gets no gifts for three years
She’s fed up and bursts into tears
With a decree nisi
She could date a kind guy
But this request falls on deaf ears!
Their daughter says buy mum some lunch
Or flowers in a pretty bunch
Paddy thinks on his feet
And buys her a ‘treat'...
A packet of cheap monster munch!

Lizzy, ...easy,
that feeling that gets me dizzy.
J-nisi!.......so twas your love... Missy!
Hey!...liz..abeth, ...albeit i be sassy
still you be my friend,...no daunting fiend.
despite my complexities, my intricacies,...my multi-faces,
my spite, my laxities, in many cases,....and without basis.
without, they see the holistic me
however, from within you placate the caustic me.
the dye that tints and shades the blemished me.
the eye that sees and wards the erring me
see the polished me?
yes! she schooled me.
you see the handsome me
because she powdered me.
hush!...my crush...my blush...my "dutch"
she's stylish....she's posh
her elegance... a gush
and as such, i get as much.
may your heights be lofty
your bites..... a bounty,
always at ease like in mufti
looking sixteen even at fourthy
it delights me to the marrow
that we got no sorrow to nurse on the morrow
age gracefully

I shiver but still sit down to write
Sadly the words lack the strength to come
My head sorely throbs,my throat is tight
My brain feels muzzy and oh so numb
Images die in a throbbing head
My pen hangs heavy while fingers ache
Similes abort and I sneeze instead
Hacking coughs my inspiration take
All I want to do is curl up in bed
No Muse at all can lighten my mood
Warm covers,not verse , comfort instead
Words once subtle have now become crude
No break on the horizon do I see
Life feels so empty,worthless ,full of pain
Poems banished for a hot cup of tea
Brightness I need to inspire my dull brain
Arms out stretched I reach for the sky
and spin like a childs spinning top
as the rain drips into my eyes.
Im set free , Im top of the world.

She had'nt got my x factor, but she had the looks.
To many photo's and paprazzi around.
And no double barrel surname for you to learn.
Ive already been replaced with the next young guy.
I wish him well and lots of luck.
Keeping a princess happy really tough

The battle was long drawn..
he was fighting against great odds
injured he now is ... it's first light
just before dawn... he repeats
the defenders vows.. a glow of light
a glow of silver light ascends..
In the eastern sky just before dawn
the defenders who are gathered..
mutter names of past, present..
and future defenders..
Jehovah Nisi he is my Defender..
they leave...its the sound of a bird
the sound of a bird calling out..
calling out to my name, your name
