Premium MemberMountaintop Moments

You know those mountaintop moments
When your spirit seems to soar,
When all the stars align just for you,
When you have all you wanted and more?

Everything you touch seems to turn to gold
And you can do nothing stupid or wrong.
Mountaintop moments make you feel like
You are invincible, immortal and strong.

They seem to come infrequently and rarely do they last,
But when they hit, they make life worth living.
In the in-between time, we long for the rush and
Thrill mountaintop moments alone will be giving.

It’s the in-between time where we live out most of our days.
Struggling, straining, worrying, working to align our stars.
Some have come to understand there are better ways.
Alignment can be manifested through focused thought and prayers.

You can learn to flow with Lifes River, easily carrying you downstream,
No need to fight against the swirling currents, memories of your past.
In-between moments can be raised to perfection.
Peace and happiness lived daily, create mountaintop moments that last.

Premium MemberMountaintop Cookout

To Huskey we go, a cookout for dinner,
With six grandchildren, a definite winner.
The evening cool, the fire pit hot,
Some soup heating up in a cast-iron pot.
Seems life’s pretty sweet here in Lacey’s Spring;
Lottery? Nah, I’ve done won the whole thing.

Song From the Mountaintop

The cry of an eagle floats across a distant peak,
bear tracks visible in the Spring thawing snow

Sunlight, spreading its dance upon the land,
the Ponderosa Pine and Aspen in bloom

The glaciers look down smiling the higher you climb,
searching for that redemption never offered below

The wolf trails the hare back inside its snowy den,
the road to all new entry having now been cleared

Permission never asked for, granted, as the music starts,
it’s early May in the Rockies—the January of renewal

In a celebration of new life, flowers wrap the landscape like ribbon,
tying close the promises as good wishes on a Christmas morning

It’s springtime even on the highest peak, and old questions lost of meaning
now seem gone away...

Reborn in the arrival of yet another desperate beginning
—holding nothing back

Mountaintop

A treochair poem (not on list, pls forgive)

Grandiose,
A snow-capped mountain,
Has a regal summit to boast.

So serene,
The power of God is revealed,
In so so white-frosted sheen.

The moon shines,
Dancing on the snowy caps.
Making shadows in the night.

From Mountaintop To Valley

I'm sometimes on the mountain,
And days in valley low,
With shouting out in victory,
Or feeling there's no hope.

Sometimes I'm feeling happy,
Then other times so sad,
And some days mixed together,
Which makes me then so mad.

Sometimes it will be raining,
And others sun to shine,
To watch the storm with thunder,
This all within my mind.

I sometimes wish I'm normal,
Not up and down as such,
But then I just remember,
God loves me still so much.

WHAT A REFRESHING SIGHT !

Once, I went to a mountaintop lake
To invigorate my worn out self,
In tranquility, my eyes did take
    Lovely pics of the watery shelf;

The colourful fish donned their shimmer
With multihued scales of smooth veneer,
My heart was sated by their glimmer,
     As clear blue water mirrored my cheer;

Rejuvenated by the verdure,
I sat drinking in the treetop view,
Never had I seen beauty so pure,
     Where everything was blazing anew;

Enthralled, I listened in the silence
To those whispering sounds of nature,
Whistling rustles confirmed God's presence,
His art imprinted on each feature.

The Beauty of Mountaintop Lake

The Prussian clear blue water exaggerates my observation,
the reverie lingers with an ebb flow of nature’s sounds-
I feel at ease when gazing at this beautiful God-given creation
of the majestic Mountaintop Lake, its elegance resounds.

The colorful fish wearing pink, yellow and purple hues,
at the shore, the pebbles surface the tide like romance-
Sitting on top of our cabana I get a marvelous treetop view,
my heart sings, as my soul is lifted in dulcet dance.

The top of the mount is blanketed in melting snow,
the altitude is so high it always leaves a slight chill-
As I watch the children playing hide-and-seek below,
I inhale the spring breeze and my heart lays still.

Mother Nature holds such grace when I glare in awe,
she reveals her desire to bring harmony and peace-
When I remember all the years here there’s not one flaw,
And as I grow older my passion for this lake does increase.

Mountaintop Lake

Whole night snow fell in the mountains

Surrounding the blue oval lake

Downhill sang the gurgling fountains

In our window mystic snowflake

At morning the coloured fishes

Look at coloured birds on tree tops

Both after their golden wishes

Merry morning in their love drops

Clear blue water in the cool sun

All around the snow laden peaks

Love and peace look from the lemon

Many a word the dimples speaks

The lake perches within the hills

Shadows in a snowy whisper

With pines around us we stand still

Summer flows into the winter

It is the story of our life

The wheel turns from ice to warm sun

And then to cool snow from the strife

Glisten the flakes on your hair bun

Dusk descends on the sun soaked lake

At the end of lyrics of breeze

Our eyes moved to where stars awake

And moon draws shadows of the trees

Then the lake in contemplation

Of apple leaves rustling in air

Inhaling the meditation

We are in a lake like prayer

Mountaintop Lake

The Treetop view is new
Animals and colorful fish
Looking youthful like you
Full of life aspire to wish
The treetops show different heights
Splish splash is the sound of water
Clear blue water as clear as light
Making mismatched matter
Chirp Chirp warms my heart
Ready to have something beautiful
The Sound of new life riding the Bart
It'll be for a new world so musical

I wish I could be conventional
I wish I could be like the rest
Social, casual, polite and structural
But then, I cannot resist the pull of my fate

I aspire to climb the highest mountain
And dance on the waters of its inaccessible lake
With the moody hues of my heart, its waters I would stain
So that glancing at such a sight, even God would do a double take!

Yes, I really wish I could fit in
The human side of me yearns for it
That which satisfies the mortal, that which pleases the skin
But then, I can help it not, of the heavenly have I been given a treat

And the mysterious side of myself keeps thirsting for more
Of that which can lift from my gaze the veil of ignorance!
Why, if I manage to climb the Everest and be not so sore
I would, to the tunes of the mystical emanating there, dance!

And grieve, simply for being,
For being on an Earth, shrouded
An Earth, with no meaning
Shrouded, yes, and its Truth, clouded!

But I am weak, and frail and my knees are tired
I shall, instead, sit and contemplate
I shall close my eyes, listen to music, soulfully measured
And fly, beyond the highest mountain's lake, to where, personified is Fate!

Premium MemberMountaintop Lake

My dreary life shunned, a chance to escape;
atop glacial peak, glorious vision.
Oasis amongst the frigid landscape;
found sanctuary, almost Elysian.

Colorful fish dart, despite intrusion,
in clear blue water of idyllic lake.
Grand oaks' enclosure heightens seclusion,
if this be a dream, no wish to awake.

Surmount gnarly trunk, in bosom I nest,
relax for a spell, savour treetop view.
Ponder existence, I truly am blessed;
alas, paradise, soon time to eschew.

'fore starting descent, 'fore limbs are unfurled,
shut eyes and breathe deep, absorb nature's sounds.
This close to Heaven, at top of the world,
touch of Creator supremely resounds.

Mountaintop Lake

I have reached the peak, of Mountaintop Lake
A mystical lake, where clear blue water awaits
The bright colorful fish makes my soul wake
The sounds of nature, beautifully resonates
A breath-taking sunset, leaves me lost in a gaze
Mesmerized by, gifts of wonder from our maker
The painted backdrop, I stand in amaze
God our creator, such a peacemaker
Night falls, the fireflies begin to take flight
The air thins, with a breeze so nice and cool
Such a magical night, that's so full of delight
The big bright moon, reflecting off the mirrored pool
With there treetop view, birds sing each other to sleep
These memories, I've made will never fade
Captured moments, forever mine to keep
As my journey moves on, I head into the glade
