ROSES FILLED WITH DEW

                           (While Pondering The Pavement)

Pondering, we walk on pavements of summer days
Opening ourselves to the sun and its guiding rays
Neanderthals at heart we take the same path each day
Driven by our past we troddle on with sobering mainstay.
Every step propels us forward, ... take time to pray
Regardless of the outcome "belief will show the way"
Immigrant of earth keep walking even on a rainy day
No matter how old you are always remember to play !
Grass is never greener on the other side, so they say.
                          THE
Pavement can be slick or smooth depending on your view
Abandon not your dreams, don't ask others what to do
Victory is hard work but don't take more than you can chew
Eliminate doubt and fear be brave but know your cue
Meander slowly round the curves, whistle when your blue
East West South North, where you go is really up to you !
Nod to the crowd but share your thoughts only with a few
Take a path that will lead you to the roses filled with dew.

Premium Member Dare Poke the Bear!

Dare poke the bear, rattle the cage,
Time will slink away to shun you.
For the fight is more rant than rage.
Dare poke the bear!

Friends will cringe and flinch at your blew.
Ignoring pleas from wise old sage,
You've bitten more than you can chew.

So let the swing and swipe in cage.
Suffice to quell your hoodoo brew,
Before it poisons all on stage.
Dare poke the bear!

Oh Ye of Little Faith

Oh ye of little faith, you’ve bit off more than you can chew.How can you not see what I’ve put right in front of you.
I’ve laid the path ahead, yet you refuse to see.Then when things do not work out, you go on blaming Me.
How long will you attempt to stand alone?Without Me be your side, things will continue to go wrong.
I do not doubt your strength, and I know how smart you are; but without Me by your side; you’ll miss the mark by far.
It may seem like a weakness to put your faith in Me; but I can make you stronger, if you’ll just fight on your knees.
Listen to Me son, the instructions are right there; open up The Bible, let me show you how I care.
Oh ye of little faith, see the path I’ve made for you; I’ll be right there by your side, I’ll always pull you through.

PROBLEM

Problem
Very disturbing
Being the victor
Makes you happy,
Being the loser
Make you worry and worthless.

Problem a disruption
Very annoying
To the educated
It Hinders growth
Destroys relationships
Leaving many vulnerable
Acting from panic and fear.

Have anything flourish amidst war??
No schooling and more
Problem very practical
When you get a prey
It awards you
When you bite
More than you can chew
It disgrace you
Don't let folly takes over you.

REASONING

Do what you like or want
But don't go beyond your limits
Don't bite more than you can chew
Don't ride on another
Because you got the powers
God take vengeance, good always prevail.

Use what you have
To get what you want or need
With integrity not dishonesty
guileless not cunning
Reason before you decide
Don't feed your negative traits
Kill it with justice against cruelty.

Nature is seasonal
People, money and more
They come and go at the right time
Make use of your logic
Pause, reflect, then you act
Variety is the very spice of life
Don't disparage any, life is a mystery.

Bitter Sweet

Surely time
 will ease the pain.
   This is the crap,
 that can drive you insane.

   Shot in the heart;
 Remove the arrow.
   What you hold today,
 Could be gone tomorrow.

   In these four walls;
 I sit and stare.
   I can feel betrayal;
 crackling in the air.

   You are with someone;
 You are never alone.
   You come off,
 as if you belong on a throne.

   How does a person,
 Get to the point of no return?
   If you make it thru;
 A life lesson learned.

   You only care about yourself;
 It's all about you.
   Maybe you have Bitten,
 more than you can chew.

   All you have to offer;
 A sexual power.
   Human souls, sins of the flesh,
 You devour.

   When you become full;
 You discard the treat.
   The taste of Revenge,
 is Bitter Sweet.

Sometimes

Sometimes;
 it's hard to hear the words that were spoken,
      Sometimes;
 you cannot fix what is broken.

     Sometimes;
 you have to believe in your dreams,
     Sometimes things are seldom as they seem.

     Sometimes;
 you need the facts the raw truth,
     Sometimes;
 you feel something is wrong with our youth.

     Sometimes;
 it is hard to get thru the day,
     Sometimes;
 the one leading has lost his way.

     Sometimes;
 you bite more than you can chew,
     Sometimes;
 you have to paddle your own canoe.

     Sometimes;
 things will go as planned,
     Sometimes;
 you're going to need a helping hand.

     Sometimes;
 you cannot handle what comes your way,
   Sometimes;
 you want to run, but you stay.

     Sometimes;
 you hit a wall you're in a slump,
   Sometimes;
 your wife leaves you for a man with a stump.

Premium Member The Goblin's Tales Are True

Far more than just the Witches brew
                    is looming on this night. for you
A graveyard shift, an interview
  with Guests and Ghosts you will see through

An orange and black filled barbecue
                           to trick or treat the avenue
A mask of glitter, paste and glue
                 will offer more than you can chew

On Halloween, don’t misconstrue
                     a Vampire’s kiss, do not pursue
Or you may find your mask askew
                   For all the Goblin’s tales are true

You must bite while there is still
meat on the bone.
Writing starves without sustenance.

So take a bite and write!

Make it a point to bite off
more than you can chew.
It just may make a writer of you.

Perhaps no reader will ever make sense
of a single sentence you compose;
a thought that ignites you with serious strife.

But all it takes is one fortunate spark!

And a series of words you raw imagined,
then cooked and cobbled together,
amazingly, somehow...

Changed someone's life.

“Whatever greases your wagon” is fine with me,
but “don’t bite off more than you can chew”, first lick.
You may find things “harder than skinning a flea,”
or like “a poke in the eye with a sharp stick”

While you wish to appear “as tough as stewed skunk,”
your appearance to me is of “a sheep killing dog.”
You’re “all gurgle and no guts” thinking you're a hunk,
and think you’re as “handy as hip pockets on a hog.”

The coffee you drink “would raise a blister on a boot,”
and at paying time, “you’ve short arms and deep pockets.”
For the opinions of others “you don’t give a hoot,”
Your stature will probably “never rise like rockets.”

“You’re grinnin’ like a pig eatin’ persimmons” right now,
thinking “you’re finer than frog hair split four ways.”
You’ve never been inclined to “put your hand to the plow”
perhaps thinking “desires are nourished by delays?”

Premium Member I Am a Beast

I'll never hide behind words of God.
I'm standing right here, not blocking my blog.
I've been dealt many blows, by better than you.
Bring it on Rocky, you're a paper champion to.

You float like a butterfly, but you don't sting like a bee.
You fall to the ground, like the leaf of a tree.
Keep it here, I'm up for your best.
As long as you focus on me, the others can rest.

You have bitten off, more than you can chew.
You have the ball, let's see what you can do.
The redneck poet, his bulldog unleashed.
I have no fear, I am a beast.

Don'T Try It

BROKEN I AM NOT DESTROYED I DON'T THINK SO I HAVE RISEN FROM THE ASHES LIKE THE PHEONIX WAITING TO BLOSSOM LIKE THE ROSE THAT I AM.

MY FRAGRANCE SPEAKS SWEETNESS WITH A TOUCH OF BOLD SPICE.

I AM LACED WITH EVERYTHING NICE YOU MAY THINK THAT I AM WEAK AND YOU MAY THINK THAT I AM NOT WORTH IT.

BUT TRUST ME I AM I SHINE LIKE THE DIAMOND, GLOW LIKE THE SAPPHIRE AND SHIMMER LIKE A RUBY.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR YOU JUST MIGHT GET IT AS THE OLD SAYING GOES DON'T BITE OFF MORE THAN YOU CAN CHEW.

I HAVE BEEN REFRESHED LIKE THE MORNING DEW YOU JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH.

DON'T TRY IT BELIEVE ME THE HEAT IS EXPLOSIVE AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT YOU CAN DO TO TURN IT DOWN.

Premium Member Gossip Here, Gossip There

Gossip here, gossip there - best to steer clear.
If you do not, you can pay for it quite dear.
This applies if you're in the west or east,
For you don't want a brittle bug for feast.

Gossip here, gossip there - best not to do.
Doing so can end with more than you can chew.
This applies if you're in the north or south,
For a fly does not enter a closed mouth.

No Cross Surrogate

Such is your 'No' phobia, you repeatedly bite off more than you can chew
     Stuck as a broken record on yes, you agree to things you don't want to do
     sign up for things you hate

     Such is your 'No' phobia, you vote no to the life you want
     and vote yes to the life you dread
     foregoing your power to others..... bearing their crosses
     Uncustomised for surrogacey....feathering their nests while yours
     lies in tatters

     Such is your 'No' phobia, you think it's a swear word
     left you lawless and no boundaries - gained you nothing
     but users, takers and abusers

     A yesaholic in need of a 12 step program
     'yes', yourself made titanic
      sinking rapidly, but for a 911 sea rescue to change course
