What is left,
what remains
beyond pain at my leaving
as memories fade
at the end of your grieving
when the tide in which you wade
is not so cold and not so deep
what then my love
which memories will you keep,
the echo of my voice
wrapped in memory,
pressed in a book
will you take a look
but not too hard,
don’t stay too long,
remember me

Back to the Void

On this paper you’ll read what killed our humanity
  The simple answer: it died to corporate greed
  Our race is alive, our morals are not
  But we’re just simply doing what we were taught
  We murder and steal, then fine and judge
  Our hypocrisy is limitless, criminals don’t even run

They say it’s no bigger than a helmet, 
 Half-sunk in moondust, beside a crater’s lip— 
 A sculpture of a child's hand, reaching 
 upward, fingers curled mid-gesture, 
 as if to catch a star that isn’t falling. 

Polished titanium, etched with breath— 
 yes, breath—frozen in time: 
 a woman’s exhale as she

Momento on the moon

an oversized ego shaped as our head
carved out of a block of translucent gold
a dead tree stump, no longer by love fed
fall of Midas in hushed whispers retold

a wabi-sabi stain etched in blood red
casts on the moon a shadow of deep gloom
of how man’s heart pierced by fangs of lust bled
when ego cravings he failed

Memento Mori, whispers in the breeze,
Embrace the moment, for life's a carnival, it seems.

a smile upon a young girl’s face
as she plucks a rose from a garden bed
hair filled with Queen-Anne’s-lace
a crown of daisy’s adorns her head
no sooner plucked then left for dead

though an honorable thief
with heart as pure as gold
these aren’t the flowers of O’Keeffe
whose features won’t grow old,
petals will droop, decay, mold

to watch a flower wither
is

A Momento Mori

time standing stlll
arrested
   moments revealed
in stimulations
of the mind

revealed lluminations
of the past yesterdays
becoming today
tomorrow's postponed
memory

past pictures live again
momento mori in hypereality
as monuments
to past existence
from shadows of transience

sentient touchstones
in memorials of perception
aesthetic sublimations
of immersive
spontaneity


fascinating expectations
in a visual  genesis
of  suspended animation
 still distant
now living again

He was a gentle giant - towering
Bigger than the notorious Claus
His jolly and joy were never overpowering
His gift was a reminder of grandma’s
He represented Santa - his love the cause

de pensar grande, 
querer mais 
e conseguir tudo
e fazer mais e mais!

Sitting neither left nor right
but on the different side of things

Polarity drifts off
like the ending note in a forgotten song

The past and future saying 
one final and lasting goodbye

As time becomes a wandering orphan

Nos momentos de nosso tempo 
vemos prédios mais altos, 
e temperamentos mais baixos,
rodovias mais amplas, 
e pontos de vista mais estreitos. 

Vemos vidas na luxúria
que desfrutam cada vez menos;
gastam e esbanjam mais
e poupam menos. 

Hoje, mais do que nunca;
deixe um momento diferente 
guiá-la por um breve tempo, 
e vai libertar àquele lugar 
que sempre

Em todos os tempos,
nos tempos de pandemia,
todas as pessoas compartilham neste mundo; 
um breve momento no tempo. 

A questão é se as pessoas escolhem 
gastar esse tempo concentradas na tristeza e na derrota
ou concentradas no otimismo,
e comprometidos a um esforço
? um esforço para fazer cada dia um pouco a mais —.
