Frantic meows and urgent leading
show me the way to the food container
"Meow, meow, meow" translates as
"Feed me, feed me, NOW!"
So, I do and give him a few head rubs
as he devours the food and begs for more

Swingers, stingers, wise old gals,

Headlines, deadlines, double features,
Ping, pong, pink expressions,
Sing, song, apprehensions.

Sows, cows, milk-bag givers,
Scaredy-cats and chicken livers,
Porky pigs and truffle treasures,
Dorky wigs and other pleasures.

Dumb clucks and silly quackers.

Nitwitty babysitter,
Baby bottles, bubble slumbers,
Rubber baby buggy bumpers.

All around are funny creatures,
Rabbit Ears and bunny features,
Serpents, scorpions, and owls,
Trick-or-treaters call them pals.

Premium MemberSweet Meows

I’d rather share my bed with my cat.
He never gets needy
or tries to steal the covers;
He’ll hum for me purr for me,
won’t talk when I’m exhausted.

I’d rather share my bed with my cat.
He is unconditional
not overemotional;
He’ll sit and chill next to me,
content with my company.

He’s full of sweet meows…

I’d rather share my bed with my cat.
He’ll get me through the work day
in his corner of the room;
He deserves the finer things
because he doesn’t want much.

I’d rather share my bed with my cat.
He’ll be there when it’s raining
and when the sunshine creeps back;
He has no planned agenda
because I am all he needs.

I’d rather share my bed with my cat,
he’s full of sweet meows.

Hallway

Hallway

Things the upstairs hallway desperately needs to
make her feel like a
hallway include:
jugs of
water with a
hint of
lemon and
sarsaparilla (yuk!), heads of
asparagus, afros, viruses (non-
life-threatening
only), accounting ledgers, human
toenails, frog
farts, TV static, nautical
caps, half
rainbows, a
cat – any breed will
do – meows, stamps (blank), bucket of
courage, two hand size steel
blocks, Ag chemical silver shavings, hair strings (chimp
only), dice x
10, white feathers of
any white-feathered bird, angel
pubic hair (men’s only), Chinese buttons, and
fly eyes.

The rain beats

Pitter patters foisted wetness on the roofs,
A cat meows noisily to the rain spoofs,
her sweet noise rhythmed the dog's delicious woofs,
The treasure they sang into ears is the proof,
They both hopped like a radiant horse on hoof.

Mice run around to show they enjoyed their shows,
one, bold enough, even danced on my toes.
Their song was enriched by some noisy frogs' croaks,
that pierced the beats proving it not a hoax.
Some cocks occasionally chorused with crows.

Raindrops beat drums to make the ears more pleasing,
Thunders deafened the flow with their fast sneezing.
That made me to hum sweetness to their nice sound,
Now on my feet, my joy danced round and round,
Just then, the mice joined with their sweet soft wheezing,

Suddenly, the sky then stopped its pretty cries,
Maybe, the song that stopped the rain was by spies.
Sadness chased happiness far into the dark,
All was silent except the dog's angry barks,
Not even the stars could twinkle in the skies.

Rusty Finds A Home!

Rust-hued kitty’s shunned by day, ignored through the night
Unloved and discarded in a world numb to his plight
As he meows by a door
Rusty meets family Tor
Who give him a home, protection and love glowing bright

                                                           —Robert Gorelick

Who could resist a kitty like Rusty
Who is lonely, scared and very dusty
Needing a safe home
Of his very own
And someone to adore him who’s trusty
                                                            —Beryl Edmunds

Premium MemberKitty Kat's Facade

Our Kitty Kat has the sharpest claws
Right to the very end of her paws
When angry or upset ,she's a fright
So I try to be ultra polite -
Giving her books ...my fingers shake
Those almond of eyes stares like a quake .

Likewise called Sophisticat by few
She changes her looks, hairstyle anew
Dining with kings, leaders over tea
Her facade quite uncanny, you see--
Meows trail with many accents, her lie
She's Black Sheep's aide ,she's a German spy!

Premium MemberMy Cat, Lover

Here I sit
composing juices spurting
spewing, gushing, splashing,
dripping every wall!

like Mount Etna awakened
my mind erupting with poetic
genius

like Roman Candles
on 4th of July

up hops lover, the cat

he tangles my hands

mounts the keyboard
demanding, purring

I say, "lover, have you no
respect for art, for my
exquisite, rarer singular mind producing --

he meows

needfully reminds me

"nothing more important than
petting" --

Kindhearted, thoughtful, courteous, trustworthy
Daughter of Jacqueline and Conrad (address Heaven)
Lover of my Ojibwa grandma, beloved husband, and baby boy (gone)
Who feels blessed by God, blessed with words, and with good memories
Who fears floods, wild winds, and earthquakes
Who would like to see no wars, justice for First Nation People's, no prejudice
Resident of this great big wonderful World
Ode

I have a really precious kitty cat by the name of Snuggles Kitty,
she is so soft and fluffy-  she purrs all the time and talks a lot;
I have to admit she is like my child and makes me feel good,
she sleeps, she plays, she meows and she is sort of naughty !

The Cat's Litter

James and Peter
Found a messed up cat litter
Close by at Peter's

A cat is amiss
The litter smells of cat's piss
The missus remiss

The miss is too slow
To clean the cat's messy show
The cat meows in woe

The cat runs away
A missus tries to find it
Away the cat goes

This goes to now show
That the house is a dumpster
And smells of cat's piss

James caught the cat now
As it tries to get away
The miss is happy

Faith

The end was not a surprise.
These last few weeks are like a prize.
But then you become more confused.
When your suffering, we can’t refuse,
To deny you tranquility.
You are a precious kitty.
We’ll miss your meows when we try to sleep.
We’ll remember when you were able to leap.
We know you are heaven bound.
When you enter, you will make your sound.
Oh, your presence will be heard.
You will chase and catch a bird.
You will be a princess forever.
Our connection will never be severed.
You will strut with sass.
On the softest grass.
You will be loud.
As you claim the best cloud.
The end feels tragic, but you are no longer lost.
We know you’ve found peace, so we will pay the cost.

Premium MemberGODS SCHEME- Ariddleculous Haiku? IN TIME?

A cat meows a dog barks.
When where when there then a dog
meows? A cat barks? Sunset
Sunrise! The complexions! New skies
 complexions new surprise?
It BEGINS AGAIN?! This TIME Sunset!
Midnight flare? How then? It can?
A silent cry quiet night.
There the DEATH OF DIE!
The sun has begun again to spin.

Sunset line! THREE morning TIME!
A CAT meows a dog barks.
BRILLIANT SUN LIGHT! Where is the
shade? Sight? There IS NOT the NIGHT!
Here was there DAY, DAY and DAY!
No was any more DARK! No misery
To spark the GLOOM! a kitten purrs
Perfectly pacified this is definite
DEATHof DIE! Originally expressed
As LIE. All IS persistently in SILENT
OF QUIET. NOTHING JUST DEAD DARK!
Is this a riddleful DREAM?! This IS
REAL? No this IS JUST the GODS SCHEME!
THERE the ANKH! IN THE SKY!
YEAH! Death has DIED! All IS now
Alive! We live we live we live WE LIVE!
WE LIVE!

Premium MemberDear Old Heather

(Inspired by Silent One's limerick, "Queen Of Her Stage" )

There once was a canary full of rage.
Who shrewdly trapped a sly cat in her cage.
without a feather ruffled
Kittie's meows he muffled,
she now ruled the roost as queen of her stage!

There was a time when Kittie was nasty
oh that little one could be quite feisty
but now she eats truffles
without any cuddles
she sits behind bars eating nothing tasty

There once was a cat who ruffled Tweet's feather
a Kittie from hell who could never tether
sometimes they did fight
who was wrong who was right
the only one who knew was dear old Heather !
