Little Girl

Just a little girl with brown hair and brown eyes. 
She used to spin around, dressed up in her tutu and crown, back when life seemed easy. 
Little brown-eyed girl, still waiting to be set free from all the weight she carried. 
That little girl, growing with each passing moment, letting the magical experiences become

ticking clock

days filled with 
nightmares of 
people past.
Someone asked
me
to lead the way. 

But there’s no 
me 
to be summoned.

Just a faceless

Hurting

My body is full of a terrible pain 
But it is not of the physical kind
It’s a darkness that is haunting me 
And it tortures my soul and mind

It has turned my life into turmoil 
Becoming something that I hate 
I would do anything to change it 
But I feel that it has become too

Wordspill

My cheeks mopped by tearstains,
heart tainted by swallowed sobs.
Yet somehow, when you listen,
words don't want to be heard. 
But don't leave me alone,
embrace me tighter in the night.
Suppress my depression, push it down,
don't let those unspoken words explode.
Don't let them spill out of my heart.
Without you around, I'd be washed away
in a flood of words

My son's guitar

To play a guitar is one thing I always yearned 
On a day like any other I finally decided to learn. 
My Son's Guitar is made for a child, small in stature.
I strum the strings, an out of tune melody is what my ears capture.
Last time I tried I quit, knowing the challenge of acquiring

The type of abuse that happens on the inside
The victims receive inner scars they can hide
This is an abuse that can be done over and over
From someone that's angry, drunk or even sober
Suspects can vary from a mother to a friend
An emotionally abused heart isnt easy to mend
Its actually very hard for the abused to

I look in the mirror and what do I see?
A stranger, a ghost, pretending to be me.
Skin stretched tight on a frame I resent,
A body I wear like it’s paying the rent.
