Premium MemberWho Else Could Truly Know

We fell in love and married young,
others said we couldn’t know.
Who else could truly know my heart,
or which way I should go?

We all must choose the path to walk,
and how we’ll live each day.
It makes no difference the choice we make,
if we take God along our way.

All our challenges will be lessons learned,
he can make it a perfect day.
Others may snicker and laugh at us,
it doesn’t matter what they may say.

God teaches us through every test,
and after struggles He gives us rest.

Premium MemberThe Lifting Of The Veil

The lifting of the veil
a revealing of all that was concealed
some see beauty, others bewail
regardless of feelings all will yield
the separation has begun
from the goats and sheep
everyone get ready for the arrival of the Son
some will shout for joy, others will weep
a metamorphous is taking place
the Bride is making herself ready
we are about to gaze into His face
for some the price will be too heavy
prepare the way
for the coming of the King
there is no more delay
the trumpets are sounding
and the veil is lifting

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

When trust is broken
Feelings start fading
In love you become lazy or crazy
Can't confide in each other
A place of peace, calm or serenity
Now a battlefield, steadily pouring out aggression on each other.

Two hearts that caress and defend each other
Start bruising or humiliating each other
As they wrestle
The children watch, then start screaming
Don't forget it's a programming
Scrambling their imagination
Thinking marriage is a warfare not a welfare.

Domestic Violence
A stigma, a mind disrupter
That needs time and love
To eliminate the trauma it caused
Many more to say, but when words are too much;
It becomes void, say no to domestic violence!!!

Girl, listen to your mother

He says that he loves you, but he can never say why.
He says he only has eyes for you, but turns and looks every
time another girl walks by.

You think that you love him so much that you can hardly breathe.
Not realizing it is because he has pressed up against your neck, his knee.

He says that he loves you and wants to spend his lifetime with you, the
true love that he has found.
Yet, how many times do you find yourself alone, calling everywhere for
him and he is nowhere around.

You keep trying to pretend that you are happy, but your friends know you
can't be with him, treating you so bad.
How many times has he forgotten special occasions, and you smile at them
saying no problem when they can tell that you're mad.

He keeps saying how much he loves you and he wants to marry you, but
now is not the right time.
Knowing every time he says this, you get a feeling that one day he is
going to walk out and leave you behind.

I know how much you love him, but the question is does he love you?
Cause if he did, then why does he keep treating you the way you allow him to?

Bless This Union!

Lord, it’s the road less traveled that leads us to you.
We do well to accept the things, you want us to do.
Which way the road will turn, only you God can see.
I believe and trust in you, to guide Patricia and me.
She’s right here beside me now, as you already know.
She says that she’s willing to go where you tell us to go.
Help us to hear from you, and keep you first in our mind.
Cause us to stay humble, and both leave our pride behind.
I believe and know that with you, Lord, we surely will win.
We both want to be committed, until the very end.
Create in me the man that she really needs me to be.
Let me see her, my Lord, the way you want me to see.
Help us during times we both might feel alone.
Let your love permeate, every inch of our marriage home.
I know that all covenants are very important to you.
We promise to love, trust your word and leave the rest up to you.
We’ll put your word first so that others like us can see.
The greatness of what Our Lord has done, for Patricia, and me.

The Passing
By Franklin Price
01/18/2025

The anniversary today
Is of the passing of my wife
It has been three long years ago
That she was taken from this life

Taken home, to God, in Heaven
Who brought her through the Golden Gate
Christ, His only Son, had saved her
That's why I celebrate this date

Two and fifty years together
Since we had said our wedding vows
Our lives were always blessed by Him
We never asked the whys or hows

She a Catholic, I a Baptist
As Christians, we were far apart
Belief that Christ had died for us
Was always in our life and heart

So when she passed three years ago
I cried then, and morn her still
I missed her then, and miss her now
And I know I always will

She is now in Heaven watching
Her spirit is still here with me
When my time on Earth is over
She will be waiting there to see

For those of you who read this
And either have a man or wife
I hope that you are also blessed
As I have been in my life

Happy Anniversary to me

April Twenty Third

Today is April twenty three
It is the best day of my life
 Happy Birthday to you Barbara
You are my dear departed wife

You are still here with me
In my heart and in my mind
Though you're looking down from Heaven
You have not left me here behind

God in all his wisdom
Sent you to me long ago
To bring me love and happiness
And to give my life a glow

Two and fifty years together
We celebrated on this day
My life with you was wonderful
No one can take that time away

We said our vows and meant them
Set all others to the side
Loved and held each other
Thank you God for such a ride

We were one for all our marriage
Went through everything together
Co-pilots in the bluest skies
And in the stormiest of weather

As I sit here in this early morn
Looking back on all those days
I celebrate that you were born
Give God and Jesus all the praise

Amen and Amen

Blue

The color of the sky is blue.
Sometimes it is bright,
and beautiful.
It is light
and full of wonder.
Sometimes is dark,
and menacing.

It is also deep...
like the ocean,
full of stars,
and angels
that dance,
to faraway music,
that only they can hear.

Blue is the color of your eyes.
I see them in my sleep,
I see them in my waking hours.
I never want to look away.
I want to stay,
near you.

Blue,
is my favorite color...

Premium MemberWives and Mothers

Today is a time that is like no other,
For the virtuous wife and bless’ed mother,

While her husband works the ground to yield,
She works beside him in the field.

She is his help, his right hand man,
The world on his shoulders,
she is his stand.

Baring his seed, expands his name,
defends his honor against all shame.

She mends what’s broken in the home,
Holds down the fort when he is gone.

Guards house and home both night and day,
never once relent to pray.

Accountant, cook, and housekeeper,
Duster, polisher, and home sweeper.

Scold the naughty, spank the mischievous,
Discern the truth teller from the devious.

Teaching her daughters to make them wives,
Her sons to live godly lives.

She hires the help, gives helping hand,
Handy lady to the handyman.

She’s the only one who goes, without a pay,
Though she’s rewarded every day.

She then adorns herself, for her handsome King,
To reward him warmth within her wings.

To whisper strength within his ear,
that if not for him, her heart would fear.

The wife and mother today, is as soft as strong,
She is everything right amidst all wrong.

Dearest Daughter
(written for Amy)

My dearest daughter,
we just met,
but I know I know you,
from your father's words.
You are full of laughter,
and your eyes sparkle with joy.
You make him laugh
and talk of funny times,
and silly rhymes.

My dearest daughter,
we just met,
but I know I know you,
from the first time I saw you,
to the first time we spoke...
Your words are music,
a sweet melody, of hope.

You called me mom,
and my heart was lifted,
You called me mom,
and I knew I had been gifted.

My dearest daughter,
we just met,
but I know I know you,
and in all the years ahead...
they will only add to my memories,
cherished over time,
and gathered like flowers in a basket,
shells on a beach,
stars in the sky...
all full of wonder.

My dearest daughter,
we just me,
but I know I know you.

Premium MemberAwaiting

the moon hides her face
                                many sleep but are waiting
                                      a shout to awake

It Was 40 Years Ago Today

It was 40 years ago today
She walked down the flowered aisle,
Tears flowing down ruby cheeks
She'd be married in a little while,

Through detours and windy roads
Since you wore that princess crest
Have caused our love to grow
Cos matured love is really the best.
