My marina-made
Merry marijuana
Marianas maze
Marinara; merrily
Mary may thee marry me.

* The Mariana Trench or Marianas Trench is located in the western Pacific Ocean about 200 kilometres (124 mi) east of the Mariana Islands; it is the deepest natural trench in the world. It is a crescent-shaped trough in the Earth's crust averaging about 2,550 km (1,580 mi) long and 69 km (43 mi) wide.

The bride’s inflorescent bouquet, cascading —
a tropical tease of Chamorro charm
in the Marianas Islands.
A circular celebration arch
of bougainvillea and golden wedding bands,
preened and prepared, to love and cherish.
The handsome groom clasps the bride’s hand
as they step into the infinity ring.
Their breathing entwined with sunshine and seashells.
Her dark, Guamanian skin
and sleek ebony hair, surrounded by Red Hot,
California Gold and Sundown Orange blossoms.
The honeysuckle-scent of paper flowers,
intoxicating —
ruminating with romance.
The Pacific Islanders,
bare feet in tan sand,
release the coconut essence of their vows.
The grand reception at the hotel, in moonlight hours,
near the ancient wall, kissing blossoms and bracts.

The ocean is home to life unknown
Life that goes unseen
They live in depths we can not reach
A mystery they will remain.
Man can travel and live in space
And we’ve even reached the moon
But to reach the depths of the ocean floor
May not come to soon.
Two men dove to the Marianas Trench
The deepest depths so far
It took five hours for the journey down
They witnessed creatures bazaar.
Their journey was historic
A scientific leap
The venture held a load of danger
As they slipped below the deep
With mans imagination
It never seems to end
If there be any way
You know he will try again

Take me out to sea,
To swim among the fishes,
To glide between mountains,
To sail far from the break of this surf,
Take me out to sea,
Where I can set sail and be free,
No worries, just somewhere I can be me
Without being seen
Where things seem so calm,
After time and time again,
The steady winds roll me over this vast pool
This vast world, closer to the edge
Closer to the end, throwing anchors
Who's tails reach for the marianas trench
subduct my soul, my ship is swallowed
now alone, a turtle without it's shell
How will I survive?
I thought things would be so easy
So pleasant, at the shore
These travelogues and monologues
Displaying beauty around the world,
With sands running for miles
I said take me out to sea
To better me with beauty
to help me see the calmness of the sea
With the breeze through my skin
and the salt settling in,
Why aren't things as they seem?
The surge rises and falls,
Well I have seen the unpredictable,
I was taken out to sea to meet the ocean inside of me

She walked, passed by me and smiled,
A smile Monalisa could never equal,
Nor by Diana or any goddess divine
But a smile only she could make.
She moved mountains and hearts with her voice,
Made rainbows bend by her fingers and flowers bloom even in the winter's gloom,
Her eyes seem to twinkle like pearls in the deep Marianas
And her hair danced like bluegrass in the lush meadows,
Her body draped only in silhouette cloth is fantasy for all men,
Her graceful move and her gentle tiptoe make every man sigh. .
I am a simple dreamer as she being my dream,
I being a spectator in your magical opera,
I being a dreamer of an impossible dream to be with you,
Please be mine, be mine,
Corinne.

One day, I saw a very unusual thing
in a business newspaper I was perusing.
It was a brief story present on the front page.
A taxpayer considered this thing an outrage.
He was a very honest and straightforward man,
an American from the island of Saipan.
This is a territory in the Pacific;
the Marianas Islands to be specific.
He filed his Federal Income Tax return.
He did not omit anything that he would earn.
The territory was reported as “M. I.”
Some IRS agents soon caught this with their eye.
It appeared that somebody goofed up again.
He got a state income tax form from Michigan.

I had an epiphany recently
I don’t want a boyfriend because it will somehow complete me
Being single has given me perspective of what my completeness means
I will cover myself in Acrylic paints, never judging myself
lose myself in the artistic process
Get caught up screaming Marianas Trench at the top of my lungs
And then when the hours of day grow dim
Type away at my keyboard faster than a proper sentence can ever end in formulation
as my poetry feels the need for its freedom of expression
and I will put on a black t-shirt and pants sip on my coffee and consider Romance
walk through the hallways with my stereo blaring
I’m not the one for shyness when it comes to dancing to little Wayne on a public
transportation
I treat my golden retriever like a family member,
We share a beautiful silence together under midnight quiet air
I had an epiphany recently
Being single has given me perspective of what my completeness means

as all suns begin to evaporate
through the canals of salt
and tremble under the weight of water
and touch the untouched ground
the zealous trench is draped
with coral stags and seaweed-snakes
and teethed with pores of fire
which cleaves all light
as a strange fish, ill wander forever
the opaque, in search of nothing
in the hearth of origin, of dreams
in realms of jostling rainbows
ill plant my velvet flag
and sleep, in winding sheets
