Elements Quatern

The four elements can collide-
for fire and water make steam-
a hot blanket of thick mist from
tea, hot springs, and boiling water.

When the conditions are just right,
the four elements can collide.
Fire (or heat) can liquify
earth, turning it into magma.

Earth and air makes swirling sandstorms-
tiny flecks that can cut through rock.
The four elements can collide,
chemical reactions like this.

Water freezes at thirty-two
degrees- the air has to be cold
enough to make water solid.
The four elements can collide.

Plumber PS

I didn't know what to do when I left school,
But I thought I would become a plumber, wouldn't that be cool.

Most of the work is inside I thought,
But I should have looked closer, I really ought.

People always think a plumber earns a lot and will be well to do,
Most plumbers are not rich, but they deserve it when they have their hand stuck in the loo.

Most plumbing work is at floor level or even below,
And the aches and pains get stronger as the years just go.

To some people we are just heroes as we stop a torrential leak,
But then we are the bad men when a leak comes back next week.

We are all known for driving white vans, but mine is actually blue,
I never tell anyone I am a plumber because everyone will have a job that they want you to do.

Did you know you can make water run uphill,
So I guess I am proud to be a plumber, but I am happier still is when a happy customer finally pays their bill.

Premium MemberStone Tea and Sleepy

I saw a monk
make water today
and almost cry;
water that was almost
tea.

Tonight we couldn’t
make heads nor tails
of the blues or the pinks;
the boxes or the lenses.
Tonight we couldn’t
make heads nor tails
of the words called
poetries.

Tonight, the gravity assist
came to the heavy-papered
water coloured gouache, magnet held.

Tonight, the daal
was too spicy,
the back room too old,
the road too wind-y
or not winding enough.

Tonight, sleep came too soon for me,
for her,
for the cat on lap;
the grey barrier to repairing to
bed instead.

Today we pulled mint.
Today we lifted stones.
Today we borrowed swords.
Today we ate outdoors.

Sleep is coming...
for me
Sleep is coming...
to take and bury
the proper end to this
poem.

Bleak

No color,
no warmth from the cold weather,
no charisma,
no freshness,
no love just loneliness,
no cover from the rain,
no drain for the tub,
no food in the cupboards,
no water to drink,
no end to the war,
no cooler for the heat,
no ice to make water colder,
no rivers flowing,
no flowers growing.

All is bleak,
all is dark and crawling.

Bleak that's all.

Sky and Sea

Sky and Sea
Sky and sea though far apart,
each plays for other it's vital part,
sky is vast and sea too deep,
but still sky got it's light to peek,
in the depth of sea indeed,
live creatures fierce and cute that needs,
by sky as caring to feed it's beasts,
and quench it's thirst by drinking sea,
though it's too salty, unfit to drink,
sky knows tricks to tame this prick,
sea is mighty,strong and fierce,
but sky tells it that "we are peers",
"i'll go blue and u'll be too,
when i'll be black u'll be ditto"
The sea jumps high, far till it's reach,
sky is religion he wanna preach,
though sea prays none and is atheist,
it's sky that so bad it wanna meet,
buildings crumble, people die, but sea jumps hardest,
needs to touch the sky,
though it may seem they never meet,
it's breeze in betwixt that touch all feels,
those are for sky and sea that tries,
sea flies high with warmth of sky,
it's love is enough to make water fly,
they meet sometimes that causes storm,
this is the nature and so our norms,
their love is pure and always warm,
sky loves sea and sea loves sky,
I'll be the sea, will u be my sky?

Pretending To Believe

Pretending To Believe

Playing a part in the act of life is not treason
It takes years to perfect this imperfection
We all wear masks
Not all of us are true believers
We forget to remember eternity and God
Pretending to believe is easy in fertile soil
Along the waters edge
Life is like a river pulling us along
Sustaining waters, nourish, sustain
Pretending in the desert is another story
More troublesome to endorse
You simply sit there in the dry and die
Supported by nothing more than baking sun
Scorched roads don’t move themselves
Don't save you
Don’t surmise thirst and hunger, no surprise
Going nowhere in a hurry
Roads simply sit there, dutiful, that’s what they do
Not looking for a highway to the truth
If you play a part long enough and wisely
Pretending to be something, someone else
You become the part inevitably, eventually
Perhaps even believe in God one day
By simply being by the banks and streams
Take comfort in the tears that make water in your eyes
Water rises. It can’t hurt to be alive
Along the rivers and tributaries of your life

Cactus On a Big Boulder

There is something I just did realize
Flower seeds have different shape and size
Which were made by God to accommodate
All their abilities along with each trait.

A cactus can make water out of oxygen
When mixed with moisture again and again
End result will be flower for you to choose
Which itself always continually renews.

Maybe it might be to my surprise
After a while I finally did realize
Beauty is in each eye of the beholder
That may be growing on a big boulder.

Commuter's Joe

her hair
wisps of copper filament
like sea fans on deep pillows
spread out above duvet
broken silhouette
from bed warmth venting
reluctantly, with lidded eyes
fighting blue-black cold as
I arise and shake off
clinging hands of sleep
clumsily I make water
playing footsies with the cat
glances in a spotted looking glass
stumble on a toe
hygiene habit whoop-de-doo
another day in the role of man
step right up
step it up
daily three ring has begun
music only sotto once
as I glance deep in my eye
wondering if my heart's gone dumb
(was it truly once fierce & free?)
unsure if my soul was meant to fly
but asking meaning now
is meaningless
furrows plowed and dimming pass
commuter's music fills the air
mumbling desperate on the pike
shuffle up, hook it up,
file out to the door
no time
no time for
seesaw for a mood
sparrows for a mind
vegetably, I regret nothing

What Am I You Must Think

I creep in through the darkness
And you can feel I’m there
You may be threatened by my starkness
Though I never meant to scare

You can’t see me in the daylight
But you will see what I have done
And you can seal yourself in airtight
Or maybe even run

You really have to take me
For who I really am
I really have to stay free
And uncatchable yes I am

Most of you have seen
The things that I can do
Things are not so green
When I make you feel so blue

I just may have you thinking
That I am some kind of crook
If you’ll stop your eyes from blinking
You can read me like a book

You can feel me every winter
What am I you must think
No I’m not a splinter
Have I got you on the brink

I only have one name
And I think that you all know
If it’s all the same
It’s time for me to show

I make water into ice
Even stop a rivers flow
Sometimes I am not nice
I am the COLD and now you know
