She laughs like a donkey braying except it’s more annoying.
She tells tall tales so often, her hideously ugly nose has grown.
Bart had never heard Joey say so many mean things about anyone.
Wait until you meet her, he told him. She will seem nice. Don’t believe.
When they reached Joey’s parents’ house a beautiful blonde ran out.
She grabbed Joey, , twirling him around, as if he was a toy top.
This is sister, Joey said as she reached for Bart and gave him a hug.
Bart was enchanted and instantly smitten.
She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Why did you tell me all that bad stuff? He asked Joey that evening.
If I had told you the truth about her, would you have believed me?
You mean that your sister is the prettiest,
most enthusiastic girl in the world?
The best friends grinned at each other, feeling closer than ever before.
They tell me you’re the fixing man,
so can you fix me too?
Can you check my engine light?
I think I’ve blown a fuse.
Can you turn your ear this way
just a second more?
Can you tell me I’m not tainted,
like how I was before?
Please weld my body, make me new;
I need new tires too.
They’re all worn out and rugged now—
I hope that’s not taboo.
Maybe it’s my head gasket—
don’t ask what that’s been through.
I’ll need a filter—sorry, it’s gone bad;
I say what it wants me to.
My doors are all jammed up,
but know they used to work just fine.
I once tried to get them fixed,
but wouldn’t trade my time.
My windshield has been broken;
I can’t remember how.
I just want to get it fixed,
so could you try it now?
I’m just asking for some tuning up;
I swear I’ll leave soon after.
Please make me better, fixing man—
will you be my crafter?
Sixty-three adjectives insist upon having their way with me
Trixie laughs, as she was the one who dumped them into the air
Amusing to have an amused muse? You tell me.
I try to throw some meat and potatoes down but there is too much dancing.
The ideas swirl off the page like a tiny tornado
Hitting me in the chin, nearly knocking me off my chair.
I get the message.
Begin again. This time throwing down adjective after adjective.
Waiting for a noun; there is none forthcoming.
Trixie is stubbornly keeping the faeries and unicorns to herself today.
Come on! I shriek, throwing my sixth page of adjectives onto the floor.
I hear giggling.
She knows I am malleable, and is taking advantage.
I admire her power.
When I say I Love You,
I'm afraid it will fade away.
To the nothing-ness it was,
When my skies were turning grey.
When you say I'm Beautiful,
I hold it in my hand.
In case it starts to wither,
And run out like the sand.
When you tell me how you're feeling,
And we laugh into the night.
I keep it in my pocket,
Holding on with all my might.
Afraid what I was yesterday,
I may not be today.
Then tomorrow I'll be invisible,
and you'll have nothing left to say.
So I'm holding on to everything
That made me feel happy inside.
To pull it out on days,
When no one else has tried.
To make sure I rememeber,
What I once meant to you.
Just in case its different,
When my Skies turn back to blue.
You came into my life
You didn't ask so much of me.
You're the one giving out
I'm the one taking in
You came into my life
Expecting nothing from me.
You're the one letting it out
I'm the one keeping it in
One day you left me
Without saying a word.
I looked for more of me
Without you on board
One night you came back
And gave me answers I needed
To questions that pulled me back
And made me strong and mended
I was sorry for hurting you
And regret not keeping you
I am whole again for what you said to me
When you tell me that you love me
With you by my side
Keeping me on the bright side
I can feel the joy and laughter you're giving me
When you tell me that you love me
Never will I give in, how many times will I reply?
You sing to my ear the same song
I will never dance to your music.......
You are a deceit I know of you
You aimed to deceive me I will never dance
I saw you each time I am in another world,
in the day you choke my lung with different thoughts,
I will never give in, I repeat.
You use my heart as hut, you tell me give up my dream;
you tell me I have nought to gain on this way
I know you are the devil within mind, you are a stone
and I am the hammer you will be shred
You tell me to stop endure this difficulties,
You tell me it is all a shame;
You tell me it's a waste of precious time.
I know you are an angry ocean therein,
I'm the dryer you will dry.
You are a sailor, vanish is your goal,
I will never give up my boat.
Hope in me is Mississippi, how do
you expect YOU, elephant to drink her off.
This can only happen if YOU,
FIRE kill the ember of hope glowing
Within me, but not, you are
fertiliser for me, summer plant.
BIO Of A Simple Man Called Me
Coming from a normal family
Perhaps not by today’s standards
I had two loving parents who stayed together
They lived and died together, that was their choice
And molded me to be a humble man of virtue
Most friends and family call me “gullible”
I believe anything you tell me… but only once
My parents named me Earl and wished me luck
Short stories, plays, novels, and sometimes poetry, is my way of life
I have nothing published but I still like to write
No one will pay me for reading books, so I played the game
Giving people subpoenas, travel documents, all in the same day
A travel manager by day, a constable’s officer by night
I’ve led an interesting, sometimes dangerous life
I’ve even had a wife or two and a couple of children along the way
I love chess and Zelda video games and played for hours
The Beatles are the best of the very best for music pleasure
Kafka, Samuel Beckett and Hesse are still such fun to read
People still call me gullible and lame
But I’m still standing, still playing in the game

I woke up and forgot my password.
Everything seems back-assword.
It must be somewhere, but mislaid,
among a paper mountain, I'm afraid.
Something's really weird and strange.
Has my brain been rearranged?
As this odd feeling lingers,
I can't even feel my fingers,
and while my digits seem fat and numb,
they won't even oppose my thumb.
My vision's blurry and I feel weak.
When I open up my mouth to speak,
instead of meaningful words,
out flies butterflies and birds.
Even when I try to scream
like a kettle blowing steam,
there is not a single sound -
just a silence that's profound.
The sun looks more green than yellow,
and the ground is made of jello.
I'm not sure who I am.
Can you tell me my name?
I was someone when I went to bed.
Maybe, now I'm somebody else instead.
Am I gone? Will I be missed?
Or do I not even exist?
I wish I knew where I reside -
once again, "Password Denied".
Consider this an SOS.
Please send help to my address.
I’ve loved and I’ve been hurt.
I want love, but I’m scared to start over.
Is it possible? Do you really think this is gonna work?
Is it based on luck? Should I look for a four leaf clover?
Can I avoid the same pain I’ve felt before?
With love, must I always get hurt?
Is this way too much? The genuine love, that I’m looking for?
I’m tired of always being on my toes, always having to stay alert.
Maybe I’m being too forward, but I’ll say it anyway.
From the moment we first spoke, I think I already knew.
I like you, more and more every day.
I want with you, a love that’s completely brand new.
Maybe you’ll promise me that you’ll never hurt me,
And my heart will believe you.
My mind will know hurt is still a possibility
Maybe you know that too.
When you tell me your “feelings”
Those damn butterflies in my stomach do nothing but flutter.
And You might not know this, but when you say those sweet things,
Oh man, my body it melts real quick like butter.
I want you, I want you to be all mine.
I never want this feeling to end.
I want you by my side all the time.
I hope that all of this isn’t just pretend.
I want this to be something real.
And I won’t let this die like the love I’ve felt for others.
I want it all to be true, Everything you tell me you feel.
I can love you more than your own mother.
So, I’m going to give this a try.
And I pray it doesn’t all end up a lie.
Won't you be my Valentine
Even though we're past our prime?
Now our kids are up and running,
we could escape to somewhere sunny.
We've been neighbours now for years,
let's bring each other some cheer.
You lost your love, I lost mine.
Won't you be my Valentine?
Nights are lonely don't you think?
Instead we could be at the brink
of something new and exciting.
Isn't that thought inviting?
Life's for living I always say.
When the sun shines, make hay.
We could be so good together.
Please won't you tell me whether
you seek comfort just like me.
The kettle's on, I'll make tea.
I'll be yours if you'll be mine.
Won't you be my Valentine?
