It makes me so weak
my inside cries tears and more
the inward pain can't be explained
there's no key to open that door
It is such a monster
holding a tight grip
as my mouth is in a prison
the sentence is a lifeless trip
Nothing can be done
causing such heartache
as the fear that holds you
your tongue can't even brake
The monster in my mouth
creates words struggling to come
a deep inward battle
makes oneself feel so dumb
On occasions the body shakes
feeling disheartened and frustrated
but when a word does flow
making you feel really elated
But these times are few
the monster always makes you stammer
puts your mouth in its prison
shuts you up in its slammer

Chains, love chains:
chains everywhere
but mostly held to my heart
I do not yearn for freedom
I yearn for servitude
A sweet seraphic smile
with
sentimental suppression
romantic ties
an eerie enchantment
that is shackled irrevocably to

an endless~
irrevocable~
adorable~
tenderness~
hold me in your heart
blue eyes shimmering
green eyes captivating
fetter me
hold me tight
squeeze me until I’m breathless
my heart beats in
irregular ischemia
coupled with fibrillations
a morbid palpitation
that feels it’s escaping its cage:
a contradiction in terms
bind me in ember warmth
hold me close

kiss me sweet, kiss me long
as long as the foamy waves
that kiss the beach
during the hottest summer season
let me feel the warmth of your full lips
the smell of lavender
so delicious
exciting
magnetic mesmerising magic
an undying unlimited urge
my cheeks feel a quiet ember
my ethereal emotion
trembles with delight
despite the chains
that should bind us forever
hold me in your heart
never let go
I’m chained with love
You are my Granite Soul
Elizabeth!
You are the queen
of my golden age
you were younger
than me, my now 39,
before you gave up
on womanhood ,
children,
and romantic love
long hair is only
long for long
and entertainment,
plays, comedy
and music
can only start
and end
( requiem means
“mass for the repose
of the dead,”
after all)
I never was
at my sister’s funeral
nor part of her
requiem
or celebration.
She still laughs
with me
at bad jokes
(in my mind)
and her laugh
was groundbreaking
and life-affirming!
I remember
the quills,
the copycats,
the dirty streets,
the tangibility
of too many mistakes
of white-lead beauty
and trying humor
of timeless history
and strong women
with or without
curtains of fabric
and heavy,
corseted fashion
and those looser
and tight-bound
socialites
who had more or less
fun, unstrung
your ladies in waiting
may cry, but you
will not
My hair is oily
after three days
of teaching and
no shower,
and I don’t like
mirrors
on Mondays
when I am not
made of hard stuff,
stone, or granite
“wearing the face
that she keeps
in the jar
by the door”
I am not
Elenor Rigby
To be married,
unflinchingly,
to England
outlives emotion
like the granite
of Mount Rushmore
(the requiem
cries your name,
as would Mozart,
a less durable artist
whom it hurts to
hear, sometimes)
whose work
poured out
faster than blood,
and it killed him.
“I have become
a virgin” Cate
Blanchett
confesses after
shearing her head
of hair.
The puritans were shorn
unwillingly and blood
stained the blood
rinsed in water.
They went
from water
to coughing fire
to be worshipped
as the Virgin Mary was
one must become
more than woman,
more than man,
immovably
inhuman
Elizabeth,
let lesser
women
respond as men
think women do.
You are
my granite soul.
One for you kiddies out there!
Have you hugged a llama today
Or a bunny or a kangaroo
You'll feel all squiggly and giggly inside
And a bit rumpity bumpity too
Not only will you feel all squiggly inside
But these guys will be wearing a grin
They sure like receiving those huggeroonies
You'll notice their tails start to spin
So if you spy a sad looking teddy
Or a kitten with eyes full of tears
Tell them you love 'em and hold 'em tight
You'll chase away all of their fears
Tonight when Mommy tucks you in
And gives you a big snuffily kiss
Remember the lonely animals out there
Blow them a kiss and don't miss
There's a moral here but I haven't found it
Maybe it's hiding under a chair
Hugging llamas and other poor creatures
Will really show that you care

God He loves you oh so much
He wants to forgive your sin
He wants to turn your life around
So just invite Him in.
He does not want to hurt you
But restore and to heal
And what He longs to give to you
Is eternally so real.
Does your life seem like a battle
A tormentor living within
No matter how hard you seem to try
This predator seems to win.
This predator sinful nature
Lives in all mankind
Its very strong and opposes God
It wants to rule your mind.
This sin that grips your life so tight
It's impossible for you to fight alone
The victory for us has already been won
Don't fight it on your own.
Ask Jesus in your life today
And completely be set free
No more in bondage by that sin
For all eternity.
How street lamps cast a pallid light,
Which bleeds, through this angst I bestow
On thoughts dim … flamed by an invite
To leave a dwelling, soul of woe
While ambling far one rose held tight;
A wish faint and falling quite low :
The smudge of rain, its drop a haze
Which grips a widowed time’s malaise.
Could another place find my voice
Where suffering eases life’s thorns?
How tears plunge, my words cannot hoist
My wail for guidance when eve mourns
When fate, harsh, won’t let me rejoice
This new dawn till time’s grace adorns,
A rising hope , my second chance…
To dance again as years advance.

Theme: A wish faint and falling
Sadness creeps in akin to an acrid taste.
Magnificent dreams are now gone to waste.
Fevers rage on as birds sing a song.
My mind is awake, but something is wrong.
Frail it becomes, this once strong mind,
As doubts and fears start to unwind.
Memories fade like a distant shore.
Leaving me lost and wanting more.
Tears fall gently, akin to summer rain.
As I strain to hold on to what remains.
But the world keeps spinning, never slowing.
And I find myself just floating.
Frailty is not a weakness but a sign of time.
This a reminder that we all must decline.
But in this weakness, there is still strength.
A will to fight, to lead to any length.
So I'll hold on tight to what I hold dear.
And let the cast off the things that bear fear.
A frail mind can still be strong,
And with perseverance, its strength can prolong.
The taste of sadness may linger long,
But it can't overpower the beauty of a song.
And amidst the pain and the strife,
There's still a world full of life.
So let your mind be

No cares about relativism, just truth,
Where was that bone by ratio, this?
No dares without brothers of youth,
Similar, they smile the sun to dismiss.
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
These bones, similarly, land at this?
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
Similarly, although unscathed by this?
No freedom without tight freight delight,
Robust rationale to exude the weight,
Laughing with sense at the ancients height,
Detected, the magners stands the gate.
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
These bones, similarly, land at this?
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
Similarly, although unscathed by this?
The Merlin gasps to anticipate upon early,
Their trade, occupation made ‘em too tired,
The giving did not draft or dragon the pay,
Ads, nets, position costing nothing when hired.
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
These bones, similarly, land at this?
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
Similarly, although unscathed by this?
Camaraderie did not swoon, see distance,
Between one hurt, the house, and another,
Just neighbourhood and stance in ecce chance,
When fish stole ID as nearer to each other.
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
These bones, similarly, land at this?
Why do they glint in the sun with youth,
Similarly, although unscathed by this?
SAINTS AND SINNERS
No human being on this planet is perfect
Everyone in blood and flesh errs but the degree varies
Saints or sinners they have their own controversies
But time, place ,circumstance and nature of act…
Holds mirror to tag them as sinners or saints
Today’s sinner might be a saint tomorrow
Today’s saint might be a sinner tomorrow
Society’s decision, its perception, belief system
Most of the time judges them with precision
But story does not conclude here……
Few acts are forbidden, degrading no matter what
Any person who does such is sure to fall
Few acts are pious, brings blessings to all
Any person does this gets elevated in all
The next aspect is the number of good qualities….
Sinners and saints have in them both good and bad
But saint expresses more good over bad
The sinner does the opposite sans remorse
Between a Sinner and Saint there’s only a thin barrier
They don’t stay in water-tight compartments
A pricking conscience is always there in between
Who acts listening to the inner voice would err little
And he will attract huge followers for his genuineness
And would be a saintly person attracting glory
And the one who repeatedly trespasses piling up errs
Will soon be a sinner digging his own grave
For he will attract more hate and curse sans pardon!

Sandwiches perched on plate, remote control in one hand,
he settles heavily on comfy couch as the TV goes alive.
A sweet and sexy voice cuts in the heavy atmosphere;
“Weather forecast: Now we move to the tropical depression….”
He’s alert; eyes are held by slim fit skirt and moulding top.
“…menacing our island. This is the zone of low pressure…”
With extraordinary care, he arranges the plate on the table and tries to listen.
But eyes are riveted to the waves of graceful movement as she stretches her arm and walks on needle sharp heels to indicate some drawings on the map. He flinches.
Her words fall on buzzing ears “...atmospheric pressure tends to intensify…”
The pressure in the living room is intensifying as she goes on
with a killing smile, as if it is the greatest joy of the world for her to declare
“…from 1007 to 1004 hectopascal, in the next 24 hours….”
“What’s that?... What pascal??....” he is irritated.
“Oh! Why does it have to be young women like her doing this?”
“…which will be sustained with gust of wind of 60 to 61 kms per hour…” she goes on facing the camera boldly.
Her blouse is too tight on her breasts…
He swears in an attempt to diminish her power over him and scoffs her knowledge…
His ego is shaken and a voice inside his head warns
“Fool...Learn some more on atmospheric pressure to understand weather forecast!”
Still, her coy smiles are suffocating, he sweats and eyes her hungrily.
Feverish eyes search for her name at the bottom of the screen.
Not bad….he gives a devilish grin: She is the next!
