Sweet Sludge Serenade

sometimes there's soft sludge
a harsh grip that creeps in
secretly and veiled —
at times, it feels as a tight jab—
warm, holistic, and candid
but it may sting and stab
a scorching pain at the core —
It can lead to severe tummy aches
where tangled strands of—
turmoil reveal a raw touch.
yet at times, sweet peace makes you whole
filling fissures with fervent light —
your cheekbones flush —
from cheerful laughter
as if you are ascending to the peak
of sky
love is a little ladybug
light and lovely —
perched perfectly
but perilously placed by pride
love can be painful at times—
compact yet vulnerable
sitting sparingly on your hand
akin to a ladybug landing —
lifting you to the point
of grasping the sky —
conversely, hubris can build up
not appreciating its splendor
embrace blithe surprises
your cheeks will bulge with joy
but it might also break and disintegrate
fostering abdominal pain
love may discover serenity —
once a wistful whisper
now worn warmth —
facilitating delicate handling
with a promise not to stab again
optimism boosted—
love is a slow, aching healer
shuffling quickly —
through scattered shards of sorrow
shining light amid split shades
heartbeats hum perfectly
across unseen sights —
bravely braving blustering breeze
with unshakeable willpower
experiencing delight
within the area of choice
