My Thoughts of You

The thought of looking in your eyes
has me hypnotized
frightened with excitement
daring to be scared

The thought of having your arms around me tight
sends chills up and down my spine
and wishing you were still mine

The thought of your touch
that I miss so much
causing my eyes to seep in the night
and in the mornings light

The thought of your kiss
oh so sweet, and were always such bliss
yet for now are a memory
that's no longer faded, but seen clearly

The thought of you making love to me
those memories will always be
safe with me
perhaps one day it will again come to be

Now all I have with me today are
these thoughts of you
they are always on my mind
reminding me day after day
life's not always kind
for if it was then here
is where you'd be
living our lives together
you and me
sometimes I think
why don't I just let it be
but then I see
it was you who made me melt
caused those butterflies
being with you is the most alive I've ever felt
you are the one who made me see
just how wonderful love can be
you showed me how to love unselfishly
how once you're in it
you can never get out
you're to me is what
true love is all about
