Premium Member The Tinge of Jealousy

I feel it to a small extent - a little tinge of it -
those times I hear about
friends going on vacations to fun exotic places;
friends of mine receiving special presents from their husbands;
women I have known for ages getting plastic surgeries,
losing weight, and looking now like models;

Anyone who does not feel a tinge of jealousy
toward those who are receiving the very thing
one is longing for in one’s own life
I think would not be human!
But most of us can rise above the tinge of jealousy.

All of us are gifted in one way or another.
We need to have security in who we are,
and gratefulness for all the gifts uniquely ours!
Most likely, those whose good fortune we might covet
are looking back at someone else with a tinge of jealousy.
Nobody has everything they want!
We cannot know the many facets of a person’s soul -
their hidden insecurities, their dreams left unfulfilled.
Maybe there exist a few on a higher plane
with not a jot of jealousy inhabiting their heart.
Until we reach that higher plane,
We need to be as happy as we can be.

Congratulate successes of your peers.
Swallow any little bitterness and know. . .
with hard work, you can achieve successes in your life.
Imagine your dream and go for it!
That thing which is of the uttermost importance
will be the thing for which you ought to strive.
What drives you? What brings you the most joy?
Once you’ve answered those few questions,
take stock of your own life.
Are you doing all you can, despite even facing
possible hardships in your current situation?

Don’t sit back and daydream.
Force a smile if you have to.
Be happy for life’s winners.
Envision a dream that is attainable for you;
work for it, being grateful all the while
for the talents you already have.

Those with low esteem or prone to idleness and greed
will not want to do the needful things.
They will feel the tinge of jealousy; then let it fester.
Growing and growing, it will manifest itself
in acts of hideous deceit, or worse,
jealousy can lead to murder and revenge.
It happens all the time,
for it’s the root of nearly every crime!

Breathe. . . and let out jealousy.
Feeling jealous means that you are human,
but never go beyond the tinge of it!

Destiny Versus Destination

Choose your destiny, but your destination has already been prepared
you have only to follow the light of truth, with no cause to be scared
mercy is given to the merciful, and only in the land of the living
after returning to your heavenly abode, there is no longer forgiving

Know that the place to mend is here, and the time to achieve is now
passing into the world of souls, correction they will no longer allow
our personality traits are in need of repair, we must dig very deep below
if we fail to improve the error of our ways, forever will we remain low

Three things, jealousy, lust and honor remove us from this world
struggles of the body and duties of the soul, to us has this been hurled
we do not have the choice to desist from exerting our efforts, this is a must
heavenly eyes are watching, whether we will choose wisely and learn to trust

Encountering life’s trials and tribulations, mitigating circumstances they will weigh
what is required of us is to withstand, but for the right results we must surely pray
like in human affairs, judge your neighbor favorably is the correct way to go
becoming entangled in the net of gossip and slander, from them does sin flow

This world is the place where we are expected to toil, that is why we were created
at the end of this journey, we will finally see just how everything was interrelated
a person’s face in the image of G-d was he created, and yet we embarrass him so
his face turns red as he wishes himself dead, we have murdered him we must know

Those that lower themselves in this world, in the next they will be raised up high
everything is revealed, and for all the good you’ve done forgiveness you can rely
He neither sleeps not slumbers, throughout our lives G-d does patiently await
our shortcomings are no secret, despite our mistakes His love will never abate

The day is short and the work is great, consider your obligations the hour is late
how important it is to take stock, our destiny is ours and we control our own fate
suffice it to say when all else has passed, one thing alone remains to be said
look forward to what you acquired, eternal happiness, for you alone lies ahead

The Gift of a Day

How much we take for granted
Our rousing each and every morn
Whilst yet forgetting the many
Who not quite unlike ourselves
Did enounce "See you tomorrow"
Only to exit the stage before the play is done.

How many times do we pause, take time
To appreciate the gift a given day is
Embrace each day like it's the very last
Treat people alike, no different from self
Smile, like it the latest anti-ageing cure
And let that smile warm someone else's heart.

How often do we give a comforting hug
Not only when such a need is called upon
To not speed through each and e'ry day
Chasing what we presume of great import
Whilst yet greatly missing and losing out
On the blessings encountered each, everyday.

Appreciate every single moment
From the time the lids come open
Rejoicing in yet another gift given
To go about each and e'ry task
With a renewed sense of purpose
To fully enjoy the gift of every single day.

Enjoy the fact that we have life
And with it, having been gifted a new day
Refuse to focus on the impending storm
Which may really never come
Appreciate instead every ray of the sun
Storing to enjoy should gloom choose to visit.

Consider the pains we a-times experience
As pointers for us to stop and take stock
Yes stop, and actually do take a rest
Close the eyes, lie still and savour time
Knowing without a sliver of any doubt
That it be the greatest gift ever received.

Notice the weather, the season changes
Sunrise and sunset, heat, dry and cold
Appreciate the skies, colours and shapes
For it indeed requires creative ingenuity
To ensure innumerable differences
Exist in absolute harmony.

Listen to conversations and give no voice
Let the many voices that a-times surround
Wash over pleasantly like the waves of the sea
See the smiles, the expressions of affection
See the pain and anger which exist too
and see truth so clearly so as to recognise untruth.

And like a polaroid picture streaming
Look on the past, and that without regrets
Let it be your choice, one you make
To refuse to just pass through time
Instead live life, and live it full
See the gift of a day...Any day...Everyday.

Does This Make Sense?

Some will find they’re at odds with opinions expressed
here, call me to account, but I color all friends
who remain in the room! When your feelings are hurt -
if your heart’s to forgive, will’s to clear each impasse,
joy’s to act in a way that shows warmth to some rhymes
(till the end of life’s breath), that expand who I am
(though blood slips bounds of banks), I aspire to that rock
as I climb from life’s beach, clear my vision of clouds,
and join aspect of stars that are light-years away.

Is perfection a reason that love gets confessed
or observed? Who dreams pearls (fools sign worth - fashion trends)
all command such an arc (this sad question’s too curt?)
when their fossilized curves serve to compost morass
at bays’ bottoms with oysters whose housing sublimes
to time’s sandstone? Is fruit from a poisoned exam
(that one cheats on) all ‘Love’ is? You need to take stock
if you think you’re not fool to believe you best crowds
of those wiser than you, aren’t Cro Magnon cliché.

Are genetics we own plus or stain on (God’s?) path?
Ours a toehold, a second (from life’s first veneer
through the moment we’re in) if earth’s hour is one day,
our whole galaxy’s fatuous footnote, a tag
in the grand scheme of things! And we’re plum in God’s eye?
Did the dinosaurs sin to imagine God’s Grace
was theirs too in the millions of years they held reign?
God! One day all got stoned! Did they brag they were clay
formed, a likeness of God that He kissed with life’s breath?

Some may claim that “The one thing I’m sure of is death,”
but they’re kidding themselves. Our acts can’t earn their way!
“Souls are real!” “Death is real!” Both aspire to less pain,
but ‘Lights Out’ is a window our fingers can’t trace.
It’s in ‘faith’ all approach to greet exit and try.
Does the Atheist go to his fate smoking f*g?
Do Believers who die win gold rings in some way?
Do Agnostics escape faith who think truth’s most dear?
May God’s Justice get served, steeped in Grace, not earned wrath!

Faith

Faith, The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

How is your faith, will it hold up under life's weight or would you fold from being worldly controlled or, do your faith have a stronghold.

And not faith in material things but faith in things unseen. World you step out on a limb even though the limb looks grim, while people are saying, you're crazy it's just a whim?

Which means stepping into the obscure being totally unsure but you are really secure because you know you have a saviour and your faith is going to make you a great entrepreneur.

Except you're in a world of defence believing only in it's science, so it has thrown down the gauntlet for The Word to the world is a real threat and makes it sweat because the world only believes in assets.

But faith is beyond common sense which is our natural defense, so is your faith pretence or are you on the fence?

2Cor.5:7(For we walk by faith not by sight) but we are so use to fight or flight, so how do I build my faith and make it airtight?

Rom.10:17(Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of Christ) but will that suffice for the world say it's way to big a sacrifice and far too over priced. Still out of all the worldly knowledge I've heard nothing makes more sense than The Word.

However, all over the land it looks like man has the upper hand, but you must be on your guard(Thus saith The Lord: Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, that maketh flesh his arm and who's heart depareth from The Lord. Jer.17:5 KJV.) And this will be of your own accord.

So take heed for you can do incredible deeds even with faith as small as a mustard seed but it must be in The Lord and you will feel it deep within then, your faith can move mountains. (Matt.17:20)

NOW when life gets you down and has you full of grief, turn to The Lord for complete relief and pray( Lord help my unbelief. Mark 9:24) because when in The Lord you take stock you'll be building your house upon a Rock. ( Luke.6:48).

Then if you feel The Lord still hasn't taken your case you must ask yourself. How is my Faith?

Each Season of Living

Each Season of Living
By Michelle Morris
29/09/2024

The wind picks up
Changes to the season
From Summer to Autumn
The raining of leaves

Gold and orange
Yellow and red
Release what's unneeded
Trees teach us this lesson

The temperatures fall
The Earth slows down her pace
We breathe in the crispness
Of clean air in open spaces

We take stock of our lives
We cuddle and rest
We humans need to slow down
To conserve our energy

In Winter things die
We experience endings
Nature teaches us to accept
Death is not the enemy

Snow and quiet
Stillness and peace
Purity in thoughts
In words and deeds

When Spring comes around
We're ready to bloom
To expand our lives
Our hearts and rooms

We welcome new life
We learn and we grow
We know what it feels like
To have Joy and to Glow

We embrace the shimmers
We accept the Universe's pace
We know we have Angels
To bless us with Heaven's Grace

All that Happiness
All those Memories
Zen-like focus on our Gifts
Moments of Peace

The contentment we feel
Emotions inspiring Light
For we are all Warriors
In the Quest for what's Right

For when Summer arrives
Our Harvest is revealed
The bounties from Nature
Blessings are yielded

These cycles continue
Our Earth turns again and again
For each year that passes
Brings us Wisdom and Grace

As we connect to the Earth
And embrace Nature each day
We'll gather moments of pleasure
And become at one with her ways

The gains and the losses
The twists and the turns
Every single creature
Has its moment to learn

A lifetime of authentic living
If we commit to our Path
For we are infinite Souls
And our knowledge is vast

We are all connected
And Nature knows best
God's eternal Wisdom
Guidance and Blessings

Know that you're special
Know that Nature needs you
As you always need Nature
To reveal Life's Truth

So when the wind picks up
And the storms come in
You're stronger and wiser

Premium Member Shark Soup

Tim had all the necessary ingredients right next to his ancient burner

Shark teeth dangling from a sunken necklace at the cutting edge but

The amulet had turned into chains and shackles grinding the chef’s mind

A lost recipe for happiness but and he had no appetite for nourishment

Attrition boiled over when nutrition resembled a poisonous chalice

Too tired to take stock he dwelled on his primordial soup turning back

Primitive and involuntary he turned on the gas and smelled his demise

Rotten onions had depleted his tears thinly sliced and disguised

Fetid leeks leaked misery a trickle or two at full stagnant pace

Spoilt thyme oozed malodorous rosaries into beads of corrosion

Squashed tomatoes splashed foul decomposition into his eyes

Fennel funneled his vision into a bubbling hell of indigestion

Olive oil splashed straight into his heart with no glimmer of peace

Cantankerous garlic would not fend off his festering demons

While a bay leaf could not keep mortally morose sadness at bay

Great white oblivion but slowly Tim made friends with predation

Resolved he was allergic to fishy feelings and toxic distaste

He did not remember at first how to simmer emotions and passion

But onions started to sprinkle tears of joy and the shark pointed the way

Soon leeks from a Welsh legend delineated friend from mal-aligned foes

Thyme soothed his splattering cough and he found his true inner voice

Tomatoes seeded bright red orange chakras from base to the top while

Fennel fought of bloating depression and conquered agony’s cramps

Previously oblivious oils from virginal growth re-birthed him into life

He licked his wounds and wild garlic from an ocean of wonderment

And chose the berries from a long forgotten and noble laurel tree

Tim had barked up the wrong perspective and had muted the roar

Eventually he conjoined ingredients recipe and fortunate blessings

Left the sharks out of the chowder and slurped smooth soup into his shell

Premium Member My Birthday Feelings

Birthday feelings
Another year is back no longer can leapfrog this day
Where my body squeals on me from time to time
Melanin, flawless, caramel skin transparent
for you to view my friends,
Face ageless, mind intone to my compose poetry,
Every Nano second counting down to dust,
By the grace of the almighty:
The loud notification bell rang the old familiar tone,
From my well-wishers, on Facebook, and WhatsApp,
The thousands of unwanted gray hairs cover my silky black,
to match my aging face as I jokingly play around with my camera
My smiles seem to match well with my reassurance
of knowing that l am going to be alright today,
the loud notification keeps on coming,
I am releasing a happy energy
called I am alive and doing great
I have reached the good old age of ....
Here I am once again, unscrambling the word birthday,
Happy birthday to me.

Reflecting on our lives during birthdays holds a special significance. It’s a moment to pause, look back, and take stock of our journey. Here’s why it matters:
**Gratitude: Birthdays remind us of the gift of life. Reflecting allows us to appreciate the people, experiences, and opportunities that have shaped us. Gratitude fuels positivity and contentment.
**Self-awareness: As we age, we evolve. Self-reflection helps us understand our growth, strengths, and areas for improvement. It’s a chance to assess our values, beliefs, and priorities.
**Life Lessons: Birthdays prompt us to revisit pivotal moments—the highs, lows, and lessons learned. These experiences contribute to our wisdom and resilience.
**Setting Intentions: Reflecting helps us set intentions for the year ahead. What do we want to achieve? How can we align our actions with our aspirations?
**Celebrating Milestones: Each birthday marks a milestone. Reflecting acknowledges our progress and celebrates our existence.
So, on this special day, take a moment to look within, appreciate the journey, and embrace the next chapter. ????
