These Are the Years

The time may wither away and pass,
And so it will without unneeded warning.
Marking us,
Claiming us as their own,
Youth of a time that we knew so well,
A time that we called home.

These are the years that will make us who we are.
I wish I knew this,
That life does go on,
When I thought my whole world was falling apart.
This is the moment that will scar you,
Don't doubt it or reject it,
You will only grow and thrive because of failure.

Believe it,
Take it from someone who has been there.
The greatest of times will be the best of your life,
And the bad times will be hell,
But with crippling intention,
You defy and stand up tall again,
For never are you planned to fall in such times of great sorrow,
You were meant to rise and live.

These are the years that will set us up for what is next,
And how we take it,
Embrace it,
Comes from the previous,
A picture painted in liquid metal that's solid in time.

These are the years we will miss,
One day when we are old and grey,
Smiling in spite and remembering trouble that used to come our way,
Missing it almost,
Wanting it back..it gave us obvious purpose,
To be so alive and feverous over the little things,
To be so dead and immobile doesn't seem serene,
But rather yet without meaning,
Not like it's supposed to be.

Live in this moment,
Give all that you can,
Love until you lose yourself,
Cry until you put rivers and lakes to a watery grave of shame,
Walk a thousand miles to be where you're supposed to,
Take into account that you are human and you have the power to do what you can.
But at the end of the day a man is only a man.
Clocks only tick for so long until they are replaced.
We don't have forever,
This is our time and place.

Let's run and strive,
Let's hold on to hope and survive,
Smile darling, you're alive.
Remember and cherish,
Try not to harbor such hatred.
These are the years that can take us so many places.

Premium Member On a velvet night, under a sky sprinkled with stardust

On a velvet night, under a sky sprinkled with stardust,
realism, like a broken mirror, fails to reflect the whole truth,
it diminishes reality, thins it out, falsifies it, losing its essence,
it does not take into account our fundamental truths and deep obsessions:
love, death, wonder – all lost in the shadows of reason.
Man, presented in a reduced and distant perspective,
like a vague figure in a foggy painting, loses his inner brilliance,
for truth is not found in the strict outlines of reality,
but in our dreams, in our imagination, where magic and mystery find shelter.
In a world of gray and monotony, love fades like a candle in the wind,
but in our dreams, it burns like an eternal flame, illuminating the darkness,
and death, that inevitable end, becomes just a gateway to other realms,
where our souls dance freely, like spirits of light, in the vast unknown.
Wonder, that spark of magic that opens our eyes to miracles,
is lost in the daily routine, in the cold pragmatism of realism,
but in our imagination, it blooms like a crystal tree,
in every thought, in every dream, showing us the way to infinity.
Truth, that diamond hidden in the depths of our being,
reveals itself only in moments of dreaming, when we let reality dissolve,
and we lose ourselves in fantasies, in untold stories, in worlds of magic and beauty,
where every moment is a miracle, and every breath, a symphony of life.
In the endless flow of consciousness, my thoughts float like golden clouds,
seeking hidden meanings, eternal truths, in the vastness of imagination,
and I know that only there, in those distant realms, can I find the human essence,
for only in our dreams, in our imagination, does truth come to life,
and we, like poets of our own existence, can discover
that we are more than mere shadows in the world of reality,
we are dreams of light, lost in the eternal night,
and only in those dreams, can we find our true brilliance.

An Analytical Observation Into the Causation of Earthquakes

Firstly, one has to take into account their scientific peers’ remarks,
As to the likely cause of how an Earthquake starts.
Some forums say it is caused by the shift in tectonic plates,
Others seem to doubt, seem to hesitate.
Some believe a government conspiracy of a machine that causes the devastation,
Their conspiracy being at the cost of the suffering of another nation.

The layman believe, if all the people in China, at the same time jump,
It would cause worldwide earthquakes as their feet come down with a thump.
Nevertheless, to conduct such a feat would be a difficult task
Therefore it has never been tested and is considered a farce

I have read the theories from all these schools of thought,
And collated the facts that backs my theory which is now widely taught.

Take some time to cogitate the facts
Sit back and take the time to chew on the fat
You will see the simplicity in my theory
And say to your self it’s all true how eerie

The Earthquakes are caused by, you guessed it me and you
From the sexual experiences we all go through

Example:

“I felt the Earth move, how was it for you?”
And she would say “I felt it tremble and saw fireworks too”

Or:
I saw Jane today, you know, the one that makes me go weak by the knees
She’s a real knee trembler a real sex tease

Now imagine these experiences on a grand scale,
No think bigger than me misses; I know she’s bigger than a whale
They say there is a couple having naughties every second of the day
That’s many earth moving experiences I have to say
These minor trembles are absorbed by the earths crust from these sensations
That occur in every town, country, and among diverse nations

So when you lie in bed savouring the tasty aftermath
Before you decide to take a bath
When you think how he or she made you feel the earth move
You have contributed to the making of earthquakes and there’s the proof.

Good night

Try Try Again

Someone f***ing kill me, please.

Step one to suicide, try try again. If slicing and dicing doesn’t work perhaps a bottle of pills will do the trick. Don’t forget your liquid courage to help drown out all logical thought. And always remember life is pointless.

Next Step recall all the reasons you wish you were dead. Take into account your dead-end job and lack of self-esteem, but don’t forget your infamous childhood traumas and overwhelming depression.

Add of few cries for help in there somewhere before your second attempt, that way you can whine about how no one loves you when your vision starts to blur and your breathing begins to slow.

Now, remember third time's the charm so you really have to put some extra effort in this time.

Well , ya f***ed up again, and now you can add suicide to the list of the things you can’t do right.

Considering another attempt? Well then your already doing better.

What’ll make this time different though… maybe another tactic.

You don’t own a gun, so there goes that option.

Best pills you have are Advil and with your luck, you’d throw them up.

How about starvation? Ha like your fat ass could manage.

Next ups a hanging. Please you’d break the ceiling.

How about your head in a stove? There you go, now we’re getting somewhere.

How's that work exactly?

You could take the time to research and make sure you do it right, but I doubt you will.

Let's move on, or back.

Pills again? really?

At least slit your wrist too.

Or you could be creative and go outside your room.

Maybe jump off a bridge, or drivings good too.

A quick twist of the wrist and you’ll be flying off the edge.

Remember to try try again.

But maybe this try something different.

Try to save yourself because no one else can.

So try once more to live.

Just keep trying.

Remember Waterloo

Ladies and gentlemen, laddies, lassies one and all
Water, water everywhere, be careful lest you fall.
Please take into account, we've found wet boards do shrink
and remind your children, this water's not to drink.

WHY, ye visitors to Snow Cave lake,
WHY for my job, you, your wat’ry fears forsake?
Tell me, fellow-creatures of geologic science
WHY in my presence, WHY try my patience?

Let's imagine we travel the shores of Gumee Gitchie
and pretend we're Wiahatha and Minnehehe
But alas! upon our banks, there is no naked maid.
Stay on the path, light-footed, if our lights should fade

Mine's to be the master spirit, your's to be the slave, don't sleep
Mine's to shape yourself obedient to the fuzzy words I speak
Flame and flood and stars and mountains from these primal waters seep.
Walking this path day in, day out, makes this young man weak.

All day I hear the noise of waters - above, below.
All day, all night, I hear them flowing to and fro.
Are there any otter questions, are there any?
My hearing's shot, but answers I have plenty.

How old is Snow Storm Cave you may be wondering?
As old, I would guess, as lightning, thundering.
Where are the Snow Storms? If you see one let us know,
after guiding for two summers now, I think it's melted snow.

And now we cross the Jordan or is it the Red Sea?
On into Snow Storm Gift Shop where your money can flow free.
Please come back to visit us, whenever you've less to do
Watch your step, guard your purse, remember Waterloo.

A Guide's Speech, easily adaptable to larger groups, longer tours by adding more poetry selections on the subject of water in general although other subjects would likely work as well for the essentially deaf.

Why Fear a Future

Why fear a future not foreseeable?
Would this question that doubts abrade,
remain unanswered without curiosity?
I'd be left with a regret as insurmountable
as guilt itself: what gains would I have made,
if I had held back and ignored this possibility?

A long time ago, happiness was abundant not letting shadows loom,
and time seemed an eternity held into my grasp before tragedy befell;
I had no doubtful thoughts or gloomy prophecies foretelling doom...
or pondered about a catastrophe and be afraid of it: all was well.

They should have seen me running through fields
of poppies and dandelions overlooked by chestnut
trees and with excited eyes and tanned cheeks...
I searched for a stream to quench my thirst!

There, atop the Paternio Mountain, cliffs plunge
into the picturesque valley below...any soul
would be amazed and not expunge
this sight from the awesomeness of the boulders!
There, nobody thinks of mundane things while taking a stroll,
but admire that wild rose lulled to sleep by blades of grass!
Would anybody pick it and let its loveliness
vanish from the meadow's vastness?
Whom this beautiful rose will be tempting:
that lover driving back home who thinks of his darling?

Why fear a future which hasn't come yet?
Does the suffering of others make me reflect
on middle life? Can I forget my share of sorrows?
Do I realize that my errors were paramount?
Ah, time is too swift in its conquest of days!
I mourn my defeats and not take into account
the delight of my little triumphs
that are imprinted on my thumbs!

Individual Differences

Both of these Facts

Whilst holding completely

Opposite opinions and points of view

Yes are 100 percent correct

People all people are

Individuals

&

Yes we are all simultaneously

1 and the same no different at all

Fact

Some of which say

And used to press and get their point across

They are yet completely

Different from everyone else

But wish to be treated like everybody else

Now this is where

The facts simply

Do not add up anymore

Otherwise using your own same logic

Would you not be way far better off

Injecting and placing the word

Into the conversation such as for example

Community

Because that word in a word itself

Is rather more

Exclusive

Than

Inclusive

As the simple

Facts

Of the matter state in this individual case

Are you can not be either or

In or out , pick a side make a choice

What you can't be is both simultaneously

An individual

&

Different

At the same time and don't be surprised

When that sometimes comes across

Or maybe interpreted

In both the wrong way

And also the right way

All depends I suppose again

If you believe you are and can only ever be

Right never wrong

And simply do not or is superfluous to you

As you don't care nor take into account

Neither no more the facts than about

Other people who dare to challenge

Your own personal individual opinions

If they appear to be in anyway

Different

And goes against you the spokesperson

And so therefore as well your entire

Premium Member Thiru-Valluvar Discourses On the Duties of the King's Ministers: Amaichchu - K637 and K639

THIRU-VALLUVAR discourses on the duties of the King's Ministers* in the THIRUK-KURAL: AMAICCHU - K637 and K639
[* In presentday context, read as Minister(s) of State, Secretary of State, Special Counselors in the government, etc.]

K637: seyatkai arinththak kadaiththum ulakaththu
          iyatkai arinthu seyal

Though knowing all that books can teach, 'tis truest fact
To follow common sense of men in act. (Transl. G.U. Pope)
Though you are acquainted with the (theoretical) methods (of performing an act), understand the ways of the world and act accordingly. (Transl. Drew & Lazarus)

Even if the minister knows how best to execute any official act or duty, he should first take into account the habitual ways of dealing with the issues at stake [and act accordingly.] (Transl. T. Wignesan)

K639: paluthuennum manthiriyin pakkaththul thevvOr*
          elupathu kOdi* urum
[* "thevvOr" = enemies (from thevvu = hatred); kOdi = 10 million]

A minister who by king's side plots evil things
Worse woes than countless foemen brings. (Transl. G.U. Pope)
Far better are seventy crores* of enemies (for a king) than a minister at his side
who intends (him) ruin. (Transl. Dreaw & Lazarus)

To have at his side a minister who plots his downfall, he (the king) may as well suffer the siege of seventy crores* of enemies. (Transl. T. Wignesan)
[* crore = 100,000 (iladcham/ilakkam) x 100 = 10 million; 70 crores = 700 million]

Truth Endures

There is a saying, that there is nothing new under the sun, looking at the parallels all around us in these times, where no one wants to listen to the truth or reason with one another, or take into account the knowledge that science brings to the table, with years of systematic studies observations and test to help keep humanity safe.

laws are put in place for a reason, only the lawless find fault with reason, but truth endures.

Remember "Moses" when he went to the mount to pray, when he came back only to see how little faith his people had, after all that they had endured, had turned their backs on "God" but his faith endured

like "Job" and his family even though his wife's lack of faith caused her demise, his faith endured through all of the calamities and adversities that came his way, he continued to endure and by faith walked with "God" and he was blessed abundantly.

Remember the great women in the bible, by their faith they endured, just look around you and see the great women leaders of today and by their faith, they will get us through all the calamities and adversities of today.

"Women are the embodiment of reason"

were as the persons that practice the dark art of deceit, lawlessness, lacking reason thinks that they have fooled "God" and continually defrauds their fellow men, shamelessly because they have the power to do so, thinking that they are mightier than "God"
and that "God" does not see their untruths.
