Who

(Verse1)
Who Are you?
That's the question
So many want to know
Are you stuck
or are you willing to grow ?
Are you here
or have you traveled to far
you lost your vision well look back at the star
pick the one that shines the most
it glistens
gives you that extra boast
Please pay attention
Did i mention
that you are worth more than millions(millions)
you got to know it , yes you do
find out who are you

(Chorus)
Be you, no matter what
dont make excuses
no if or buts
be you,yes
dont let anyone stand in front of your success
be you you are great
the world will one day appreciate
that you are a ?? star
just dont forget who you are

(Verse 2)
We all get caught up in life
the bs jobs
the sacrifice
the hard work and the dreams
trying to be a team
lost ourself that was whack
getting me together
now those are facts
not for you but for me
im being all i can be
yes im beautiful and smart
and to top it off i got a good heart
i got access to the world
to show them how i am full of ideas
that need to be heard
im the lyrics and not just words
i am me, selflessly

Chorus)
Be you, no matter what
dont make excuses
no if or buts
be you,yes
dont let anyone stand in front of your success
be you you are great
the world will one day appreciate
that you are a ?? star
just dont forget who you are

Bridge
Its ok to be confident
yes
its ok to want the best
because you dont deserve any less
(repeat once)

Chorus)
Be you, no matter what
dont make excuses
no if or buts
be you,yes
dont let anyone stand in front of your success
be you you are great
the world will one day appreciate
that you are a ?? star
just dont forget who you are

Repeat until choris fades

The Lincoln Bridge

cigarettes burn
and you think it soothes your soul
candles do the same
but you don't think too much of them
two of a kind means
you've got one in mind dear

this is what if feels like
to lose everything
this is what it feels like
to be nothing at all
every mountain i climb
every hill i triumph
i wonder what it's all for
i wonder what's the purpose

you stand there pretending to be
someone i used to know
i used to think you're where it's at
i tried to save you from yourself
little river by the sea
there's no room for decency
two of kind means
you've fallen behind

this is what if feels like
to lose everything
this is what it feels like
to be nothing at all
every mountain i climb
every hill i triumph
i wonder what it's all for
i wonder what's the purpose

you think i'm some one else
as i sit here by myself
and i think of someone else
you stand there pretending to be
someone i used to know
but i think you're some one else

I recall days long departed
When I was just a kid . . .

O, how I loved Mother's garden
I would run in the sun and play all day
Down paths now vanished . . .

I would lay spread-eagle on the scented grass
An emerald carpet laid just for me
I would creep among the shade trees
And climb to the highest branches
Where I would sit for hours and hours
Listening to the birds twitter and dance
I would pluck some blossoms
Place them in a pickle jar for Mother
And she would exclaim happily
At what a delightful child I was . . .

My childhood was full of happiness
Watching the little birds play in the bird bath
O, I remember it all so clear
But no more, now the garden is but a thorny field
And Mother has departed this realm
And I . . .

I grew up and found out that life is cruel
That happiness and delight are rare gems indeed

But . . .
In my mind and solitude
I am that skipping child again

WOMEN IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY

There are two types of women, I've found
One type fights in silence, steady and strong
The other thrives in the spotlight, fierce and bold.

I could go on about the latter
But the former stretches beyond my imagination
How I wish I could grasp the depth of their quiet admiration.

The women of today, the second type I've known
I do not admire them less, but rather differently
For they challenge what it means to be women
With all the foundation, they still forge their own path.

I admire both their strength and resiliency
For in the battles they fight—silent or loud
Each one redefines what it means to be whole.

Talk to me about pleasant thing
Come before me give me your hand
Allow me to treasure your beauty
As while I gaze with my eyes your loveliness
Your the only one for me in the universe and I'll never let go
Come to me I'll hold your hand
Come before me we'll enact on God's plan
I love to love you in the beauty of your soul
I honor you, you God's daughter I shall not let you go
Your my butterfly, fluttering high
My rainbow in the sky
My universal darkness diminished by a lighted ray
I come before here today
Too surrender my way
Your the only one for me in the universe and I'll never let go
I give in to your affection
Within grand direction
Come before me give me your hand
Allow me to treasure your beauty
As while I gaze with my eyes your loveliness
Come to me I'll hold your hand
Come before me we'll enact on God's plan
I love to love you in the beauty of your soul
I honor you, you God's daughter I shall not let you go
Your the only one for me in the universe and I'll never let go

Yesterdays News

disappointment wells within my chest,
filling the corners of my soul

eleven years of here, there, you first, me last,
being there when you needed

dismissed like yesterday’s paper, used for
clean-up but not worth the paper it’s printed on

never again. Knowing where you stand is a
powerful force

knowing how many steps behind to walk
when not to talk, all for your relief

ignored like a crying child whose parents don’t hear,
don’t want to hear, don’t care to care

eleven long years of trying to be important and just
now realizing it was a wasted effort

do not pity me, for I have learned a lesson most
never learn, my eyes are wide open for life

Premium Member Wasted Beauty

With verdancy surrounding me, I wish to spin
around this world of endless spring that I am in.
Bewitched am I by forests, hills, and fields of green.

If nature is a woman, here she loves to preen
in emeralds whose splendor I’ve so seldom seen
as I revel in our drive out to the ocean.

Winding roads we travel with a zig-zag motion.
Where land weds water, we breathe a magic potion.
How I love this gorgeous shoreline of Oregon.

We come upon a beach, so I’m expecting fun,
But sky does not comply, and now we’ve lost the sun!
I also notice once-blue sky has changed to grey.

How happy I had been to spend time at the bay,
but wind and chilly weather bring my heart dismay.
The water feels so cold! I pull my sweater tight.

I can’t lie on my blanket soaking in sun’s light.
Oh, I long to jump some waves! This just isn’t right.
Wasted beauty can’t be felt warm upon my skin!

Bewitched am I by forests, hills, and fields of green
as I revel in our drive out to the ocean.
How I love this gorgeous shoreline of Oregon.
I also notice once-blue sky has changed to grey
The water feels so cold! I pull my sweater tight.
Wasted beauty can’t be felt warm upon my skin!

Premium Member Celebration of Spring

We wave goodbye to winter with its ice and frost and snow
That thick blanket on the ground it has melted long ago

The icy fingers of Jack Frost now no longer feel the cold
For brighter days of spring will warm his bones so old

Dull dark days are behind us and the winter chill has passed
Spring is waiting in the wings; golden days are here at last!

Our clocks will soon spring forward and we lose an hour’s sleep
Bright crocuses and tulips through the earth begin to peep

We welcome in the spring, she is dressed in emerald green
She drapes herself on trees where new leaves can be seen

Lambs gambol in the fields oh how I love to see them play
They bounce around so happily on a warm and sunny day

Dainty daffodils dance delightfully in the zephyr breeze
Unfortunately poor hay fever sufferers now begin to sneeze!

Our days are getting longer and the sun begins to shine
Oh how I adore this time of year - our glorious springtime!

In That Moment

There I was vulnerable
For once someone had an ear to lend
To judge me not,
To command me not but listen
For once I feared not saying how I felt truly
To hide not what was of burden.
There I was, not alone but with someone willing to help see me through it all
To say not to me what I had long heard but never understood
To let me be weak yet still see me strong.
For once my heart was allowed to pour out what was heavy,
For once I had someone hold my hand,
Not say it will be alright but helped it be
I felt love and a sense of caring and support
For once I wasn't the shield but the spear.
I was venting, crying and free
I swear I had my heart break from truth and honesty
I had my heart break from the words I spoke and not another's
To me, it was all I needed
Someone to listen and consider my feelings,
In that moment I mattered
I saw the need to feel and not be numb
I felt no need to escape but be present
In that moment, I valued truth
I remembered how it felt to matter.

Feeling love in a song

In the quiet of the night, I drift alone,
A hollow echo where my heart once shone,
A shell of a being, lost in twilight's seam,
Chasing shadows of laughter, fading like a dream.

The world moves around me, vibrant and bright,
But I walk through the colors, shrouded in white,
Faces pass like whispers, their joys a cruel jest,
While I sit in silence, a stranger to rest.

Yet there lies a spark where the melodies play,
When love songs embrace me, they light up the gray,
Notes weave through the air, a delicate thread,
Unraveling stories that dance in my head.

I hear the sweet crooning of hearts intertwined,
In each lyric’s tender, a warmth I can find,
For a fleeting moment, I feel and I know,
That love's softest touch can melt through the cold.

A symphony opens, and there's joy in the pain,
Each chord a reminder that I'm not in vain.

In the rise and the fall, I find solace, a balm,
The echoes of love songs cradle me calm.

But as silence descends and the last note has sung,
I drift back too stillness, where emptiness clung,
For emotions are hints, like stars far away,
Yet love’s fleeting embrace gives meaning to gray.

So I wander this landscape, half lost, half aware,
Grateful for moments when music lays bare,

That deep within shadows, where silence resides,
There's a flicker of passion, where true feeling hides.

Inspired about how I remove the emptiness for a moment by playing music because inside music I can feel emotions I have forgotten how to feel.
