Preparation being the treat in the trick
Buckle up
The start leading into Halloween
Nothing in between
One scream into multitudes
Sudden eerie conclude
Darkness fills the sky
Horror upon horror and no one knows why
Dead souls having a need to rise
The night of fright through surprise
Blood thirst crave
Beyond behave
Souls searching for flesh
Maneuvering rapidly with the time left
Hidden horror on the hour
Outward approach
Spoken words that can’t get out
Lightning and Thunder alert
The flash with an electrifying jolt
Awaken to rise
Night of Michael Jackson’s Thriller
Fright cold spelled chiller
Screams to whisper
Surviving if one can
The Full Moon won’t say
Run if you dare
The goons were be fair
All about Quench, Eat and satisfy
Fright Night
Sheer delight
ON DESTINED SEPARATION
Our lingering urge melted into our mutual crave
Dreams floated yearning for our joint journey of life
In pain or pleasure, in work or leisure and in every strife.
But we got separated as both were timid, not brave.
Our crimson passion on hesitance
caught in cocoon of destined silence.
Wished every day to be illuminated by your elegance
every night to be adorned by your ecstatic charm.
Happy days to be greeted by your cheerful glance
On hard days to seek solace in your arms.
We had to choose path of separation
to proceed for different destination.
Now all quiet on my ambient
Quietude is too hard to endure
It is so cold frigid salient,
only numbness, nothing to allure.
Praying for a little warmth, My Dear
Destined separation no more to bear.
Our crimson passion on hesitance
caught in cocoon of destined silence.
We had to choose path of separation
to proceed for different destination.
Praying for a little warmth, My Dear
Destined separation no more to bear.

'Song I-Cold-Quiet -New' Contest by rob carmack.
In the dark night time stops to flow,
broken hands of quiet clock show
how desolate pathos could be
in wasteland of still life lonely.
Sunrise time the clock maker knows.
Clumped clouds gleam in astral halo,
moondusts flush ground in silver glow.
The star of hope shines remotely
in the dark night.
Lost dream descends on land fallow,
bare trees suck it in wood hollow,
wait for the sunrise, crave to see
clouds melt, rains rinse green canopy.
In still time hides the bright morrow
in the dark night.

They come in
doing that familiar shuffle
arms
legs akimbo
and eyes
never quite resting on mine
I wonder where their mind has gone
what thoughts crowd their
jagged corners of thought-
They come in
day by day for appointments
doing
better sometimes
and othertimes
they've lost the teather that held them
on solid ground
where reality wasn't shifting by sight or sound
They come in
sometimes strangers to each other
but familiar in their addictions
comfort in numbers
depleated in resources
and lonely in spirit
they move across this space and time
as ghosts who crave satisfaction
still I pray I have no judgement
of them
as I would not like a judgement of me
and hope that one day
they too shall be free.
Terror deep into that darkness scaring
Terror death shall bring out extremists
Death long I stood there provoking, declaring scaring
Terror I crave the terrorist, tearing
Terror you warned me about the sparer, not caring
Terror overreacting and overreaction with my militancy
I protest as I contest
I have dreamed of the elements
I crave the material, militant! Militants!
But in the fact that it was dripping
Still is whipping, still is whipping, whipping up destruction and terror
Much I marveled the material battlefield
The military melancholy mussing
Terror while I pondered, tearing and sealing just short of stealing
Terror deep into that darkness objecting
Terror death shall bring substances
“It’s that beating, “so I muttered
Terror picking up dead bodies that clutter

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2022©
Your world is too small for me to live in,
The stars are cramped in your narrow sky,
You hem the moon with shadows so thin,
And still expect not even me to sigh.
Your oceans are pools that barely stir,
No deep tides rise, no wild winds blow,
The rivers are tamed, with banks that aren't full,
And I am lost whenever they cease to flow.
Your gardens are lovely, but walls enclose,
The blooms that fade with the setting sun,
I crave the fields where the wild things grow,
But here, they wither and die.
Your world is too small, too close, too still,
I long for lands that you cannot see,
For in your world, I cannot be filled
The space that calls oh so endlessly.
Just as first sight my emotion lingers
As in a suspended animation of thought being
My breath, as if our lips touch you take
A ever waking moment I feel you inside
Your curves delight my soul senseless
Passionate desire of want I crave beneath
I hear your soul whisper through the smile
Your eyes glimmer as they sparkle with joy
It's as if two was bound to cross paths
The kindness we find whenever we are near
My heart flutter as if you were in arms
A silence of peace I feel in darkness life
Is it enough to be near that we are so far
That a echo cries through the valley's of land
Forever it carries miles unheard its destination
Is it my words reach your heart I touch
Or the beauty we share that time passes still
Your presence extravagant, words I do not speak
I feel the warmth of your heart I'm weaken
The art of your skin like the heavens I dream
Such marvelous work of creations love
Romantic Love, thing makes world go round
My words unspoken behind razor wire wrap
Cutting like a knife I bleed endlessly out
My last breathe I set you free my bondage

Broken up in our oath your minced words remain,
We hashed it out this afternoon by the ol’ night stand,
For this lover’s fight has caused an extreme red stain,
I always thought you’d be the one to understand.
We hashed it out this afternoon by the ol’ night stand,
Mixed up conversation full of extreme confusion,
I always thought you’d be the one to understand,
A terrible reaction to this lover’s fight conclusion.
Mixed up conversation full of extreme confusion,
Words so grated my mind crashed to its core,
A terrible reaction to this lover’s fight conclusion,
Disarray dialogue where vows we once swore.
Words so grated my mind crashed to its core,
I crave your gentle talks under the dim moon,
Disarray dialogue where vows we once swore,
Remember the good days we fell in deep swoon?
I crave your gentle talks under the dim moon,
Now our discussions are angry and disrespectful,
Remember the good days we fell in deep swoon?
Sad lately our weeks have been severely resentful.

Broken up in our oath your minced words remain.

The tired sun sets over an everbustling city
blinding dazed commuters heading west
their cars in single files attempt to scatter
I hear a sound of hush descend over the cityscape
while towers scraping as high as they can reach
just crave to punch their card and call it a day
Hoping to wind down before they close their eyes
the buildings gently exhale and bid adieu while
a setting sun ablaze at the end of each long day
lights on cue the downtown garden of glass castles
