Jail
I used to enjoy the sunshine, lazy days by the sea Now the sunshine is a prisoner too, in here with me. Freedom was just a word, it meant little to my soul Now its all I crave, the only thing to make me whole. I dream I am a mighty ship, the wind filling each sail Far away in mind and body free from this awful jail. Strong breezes taking me wherever I wish to go. Far away magical places, some that I do not know. Now my heart has lost all hope and turned to stone. Each day I face the nightmare of waking up alone. You used to bring me flowers to warm my heart, And make promises that we would never part. Now I feel abandoned, and the teardrops start. I believed your plan, I certainly wasn’t smart. You ran away and left me there to get caught. You told me that my freedom you had bought. I believed you, you were my hero my honey But you hadn’t even arranged bail money. We used to enjoy the sunshine you and me. Now the sunshine is a prisoner here with me.
