FONDEST MEMORY
A childhood memory considered as fond, I can’t recall
Perhaps it all was satisfactory, better than nothing at all
There was a love and kindness, little to complain about
Some days were only a blur, but some things stood out
Like the time when I must have been just five years old
First day at school when everyone did as they were told
Kind teacher and simple rules, with a degree of lenience
Exploring a new world, and playtime a novel experience
My home life was fine, I had toys and food on the table
And nudging against the boundaries, as far as I was able
There were good times for sure, when I fill in those gaps
Yet was any memory fond, maybe none - or all, perhaps
Repristination: to restore to an original state
A humble home of yore
Caught the flames ablaze,
Burned down to ash-floor
Razed to a smoky haze.
Only if we could
Line up the pillars
Renew the floorings
And set up new fillers,
We could dust the cinders
Paint the charred walls
Hang tapestries of trust
Place daisies in the halls,
Foundation of love and lenience
Rebuilt on cleaned ground
As it once was before
With felicity roaming around.
In such wise, we could regain
The seats on veranda at gloam,
Look at the dying embers in sky
And restore the pristine home.

if our story ends
as all stories must
i’d want to
remember
each chapter
unfolding
as i sift through
the pages of
memories past
see fate's
written word
scribe how
we first met
recollect
sunnier times
treasured within
hear in my head
out from pages
come to life
the echoes
of laughter
in hindsight
reassess
certain chapters
rested against
their bent corners
not time yet
for dreams
to be ripped
at the seams
nor tattered
and tossed
much rather
i'd fancy
deeper meaning
unveil
lenience and mercy
turn angst to dust
make amends
whilst
old bitter flames
turn to ash
smoldering
bury the past
peaceful at last
unfettered
free to etch
on blankness
of pages to come
draw with ink
of dreams
perched
on the wings
of new love
yet to be

One must learn to thrive
Three years of perseverance
Two now pleaded lenience
Three bleeding hearts…. what about the scars, she could never discard?
Everything is fair in love and war; two swords do not fit into one scabbard.

The cry outburst in the domains still
Maybe today it’s not about the same
Troublesome shoots inflicted by death
With each fortnight turns lamentations.
Why is that we brawl in this way each
Moment, Won’t you spell mercies upon
Our black blood. Each day bring forth
Moans and groans awry... We cry in pain
My checks drips with an innocent made
Spade for garden work in my hands, on
With the digging. Red hot is it’s bore that
Blisters my hand yet dust storms in pits
Now the cemetery images unreasoningly
Our place we out our grief, and in numbers
Decreasing like the prospect of a deduction
Math. The step proves inevitably crafted then.
If be this way, won’t your lenience descend
And grace all whom are at displeasure, won’t
Today spell a different demise in the domains
Even our knees knell whacky in longs of life.
It pains not the flesh but devours the souls
Bit by bit, This path is thorny and meanders
It’s one never had been walked before. Alas...
Won’t the Phoenix grands more to our tribe?
Sometimes the suffering
seems extreme,
for the crime we often
do not know...yet
sensing a wrong
in the core
of our being--
Sometimes we know
we got off easy,
for the wrong
did not deserve
our freeing--
Between such oscillation
lenience then consternation
On one “Sometimes”
should all agree:
Between every two
introspections
at the least
there should be three.
The equanimity of the day reached beyond my solitary realm,
As if the tune of demise fathomed the doleful heart of mine;
Escaped from the autistic aftermath blamed by mordacious charm,
Healed beyond charade of some credulous bonds -
As if the tune of avow choired with the tune of demise,
Crowning an arena slewed by the tune of ravine;
Vehement boo outstayed by the tune of shush,
I composed the time with the music of lenience -
Odes so lined are tuned with feigned mash.
A ho-hum of hilarity hemmed in beyond my soulful eyes,
As if the malign sang by the oneirisms couched yearses;
Once paroled from the time, that seemed so dour, by the unforeseen lies,
Parroted beyond acme of agape love –
As if the song of idiom sinned by the song sung by malign,
Ceased a chronicle defied by the song of revival,
Eyeses esteemed bequeathed by the song of rash,
I composed the journey with the song of lenience –
Odes so lined are sung with bereft gush.
