Because of the Light of You!

BEACUSE OF THE LIGHT OF YOU
(written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 2025, June 4-5)

Jayden, you are loved so very much
Your smile could always brighten every day
And even still, you manage to find a way!

For I see your light all around
Peeking through little moments
Your silly grin can still be found!

And though your time came much too soon
You still find ways to help us learn
That caterpillars, like flowers, bloom!

For in life we have our ups and downs
And through the different struggles
Still beauty can be found!

Amidst it all, you're helping your dad to see
That there just might be more
Then what he had been led to believe!

Of course his journey has just begun
But he is starting to open up now
Because of the Light of You, our beautiful son!

Remembering Uncle Doug

REMEMBERING UNCLE DOUG:
(Written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 05/24/2025)

Your love will always be remembered
As will your heart for family & friends
Thank you for your love and kindness
And your heart to give a helping hand

Though today your ashes are buried in the soil
Your love is deposited in our hearts
And although we may not see you now
We know your spirit did not depart

And now as you join with family
Of the ones who had gone on before
You are still having your family reunions
As those relationships have been restored!

Happy Mother's Day Heather!

"Happy Mother's Day Heather!"
written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 2025, May 6
(Dedicated to Heather Goddard-Fallon)

I hope on Mother's Day
You see the beautiful you
With a heart of gold
And a light that shines through

You care so deeply
About about how others feel
But today it's about you
So let's keep it real

I know it's not been easy
And I know you feel alone
But I hope you feel my warmth
Through the walls of your home

Please remember the sun
On the cloudy days
Despite all the storms
May you always feel its rays

You have given so much
Even though it has been hard
Just keep pressing on
And reach for those stars

Happy Mother's Day dear Heather!

Love,
Michelle

My Childhood Friend

MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND
(by Michelle L. LeBlanc 03/16/2025)
Dedicated to Connie Steeves

Our friendship goes way back
I believe we were in grade 3?
In our brown and beige uniforms
At Lower Coverdale Christian Academy

At first, I hung out with your sister
But little did I ever know
That we would become much closer
And our friendship would surely grow

I remember you and your family
Would always sit in the second pew
Little did I know at that time
All the trouble you were going through

Despite it all, you found your smile
And we certainly had lots of fun
Especially in our teenage years
At Messiah Youth Mission, we sung

You always loved me so dearly
And for that I will never forget
Friends didn't come so easy for me then
But on your friendship, I could bet

Though we lost touch throughout the years
I'm so happy we found each other again
Oh how I love you so much
My dear, Connie, my oldest childhood friend

And now I have to say goodbye
Your friendship I will surely miss
Please know how much I love you
As our memories we reminisce!

Your Big Special Day

"Your Big Special Day!"
(written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 01/10/2025)
Dedicated to Greg LeMoine for his 57th Birthday

This day is Your Big Special Day!
So this day needs to be about you!
For you give so much to so many people
Even when it's not so easy to do

You give of your time unselfishly
Giving to so many who are in need
You leave such a good example
People are inspired by your lead

And even when things aren't easy
You often don't speak a word
But silently trust in your heart
Keeping your focus undeterred

You chose a path of giving
Though you could go a different way
You created such a lovely space
Where people feel safe to stay

And in case you didn't realize
We want you to truly know
We all appreciate you so much
As you inspire people to grow

Lastly, today on your Birthday
Make sure you never forget
There are people here who care
So you can't get rid of us yet!

THE SONRISE INSIDE OF ME

“The Sonrise Inside of Me"
(by Michelle L. LeBlanc 04/04/2023)
Dedicated to my son, Jayden Donald LeBlanc

My heart aches
My body breaks
My mind protected
My tissues exorcisted

A whole new level I have found
Learning to process trauma
Has definitely broken new ground

Feelings, no longer suppressed
All coming to the surface
Beyond what I would've guessed

Now I'm feeling them all around
Trying to be more careful
So my mind calms, remaining sound

Doing the work on myself that I need
No, I'm not giving up
Even though my heart still bleeds

Time did not make it easier in my case
The longer you've been gone
The heavier the weight

But I will not give up healing myself
Doing the work, moving forward
My health won't go on a back shelf

I'll press through, I will press through
Never losing my focus
Taking steps, onward with you

Thinking of you, will not always be pain
It will be my heart's strength
A tool being used to rewire my brain

You'll always be The Sonrise Inside of Me
Your life a true inspiration
Of what the world was meant to see!

BRIGHT SHINING ONE

“Bright Shining One”
(by Michelle L. LeBlanc 05/12/2024)
Dedicated to my son, Jayden Donald LeBlanc

Today as the Sun is shining
I think of my beautiful Son
Though some may see him in the ground
I see him as my Bright Shining One

His Love lights up my life
His Memories warm my heart
The Joy he brought to my life
Has been with me from the start

Though I may not see him now
I know that he is there
His consciousness ever glowing
His laughter everywhere!

People don't know how I do it
I can't say I know myself
But there's something in my heart
That will not stay hidden on a shelf

My heart fills with love
There's a sparkle in my eye
I connect with him in spirit
Not as one who has died

I did not come to this conclusion
Because of the pain in my heart
But because my son has made it clear
That he never left me from the start

And though this may be Mother's Day
I still have three beautiful boys
Not a single one of them is missing
This heart has not been destroyed!

Learning Change

"Learning Change"
(poem written 12/18/2024
by Michelle L. LeBlanc)

There's beauty all around
Take a look and see
The beauty is also within
You must choose to believe

Don't go by how you feel
Feelings often change
Pay attention to your thoughts
And what to rearrange

If we change our thoughts
We will change our words
This will change how we feel
And we can soar like the birds

But this is not as simple
As merely words can say
It takes a lot of practice
To change the mindset everyday

But be patient with yourself
Understand that it takes time
Depends how much is in there
That needs to be realigned

You're stronger than you think
More beautiful than you believe
You have the courage inside
Start believing and you'll see!

Know, we must make a choice
Each and every day
Not just when we feel good
But when we feel the disarray

Remember you got this
Don't give up on your life
Don't let your feelings run you
Keep your goals firm in sight!

To the Trees Who Call Me

“To the Trees Who Call Me”
(written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 08/03/2024)

To The Trees Who Call Me
Who call me by name
I see us united
As one and the same

Your beauty surrounds me
I feel peace all around
As I embrace who you are
I hear your lovely sounds

The birds sing in your branches
They hear your music too
A silence so wonderful
Notes still funnel through

Your beauty is so majestic
Your roots connected to the Earth
You ground me in your presence
You help generate new birth

I'm thankful for you today
As I rest in your shade
As you shelter me from the heat
All else begins to fade!

Pacha MaMa

"Pacha MaMa"
(written by Michelle L LeBlanc 07/20/2024)

Pacha Mama, sweet Mother Earth
I find peace within your presence
From you, much life has given birth

I am thankful to you today
For peace within your wings
As I sit under your branches
As my heart learns to sing

Your beauty all around me
Such peace within your arms
As I ground in your presence
It shuts off the inner alarms

You nurture my heart
And bring healing to my soul
So many wounds from childhood
The Frog helping me to console

The wind blows the branches
As you wave through the trees
You sure know how to soothe a heart
And bring it a sure sense of peace

Too often we've been disconnected
From the power you withhold
I guess it's time to listen
To the ancient stories being told

The Natives had it right
We are connected to the Earth
More than we could ever imagine
I think it's time for a rebirth!

JAY'S GRADUATION DAY

"Jay's Graduation Day"
(by Michelle L. LeBlanc 06/17/2024)

This week you would have graduated
Just before you turned 18
Oh, how the time has flown
Since you suddenly left the scene

All tho you didn't graduate High School
You did graduate from this Life
You transitioned with flying colors
Your painting truly mesmerized

You learned many lessons
You tried so very hard
You found a way to rise above
And to reach up for the stars

Life wasn't always easy
But you learned to keep your smile
You'd reach out a hand of kindness
And often go the extra mile

You had a such a heart of gold
And a smile that brightened your eyes
Your friends all loved you so much
Some of them still can't help, but cry

And even though your graduation
Would have been Wednesday June 19th
I know you're still behind the scenes
Celebrating with a wink

You certainly left your imprint
Your marks engraved on our hearts
You graduated with the highest honor
Your love imprinted on our hearts!

Let The Healing Begin

"Let The Healing Begin”
written by Michelle Lynn LeBlanc
03/ 28/ 2024

Peace and flow
Let all the cares go
Let the waters fall
Cleansing it all

Completely release
I put out my fleece
I see Source move
I flow with its groove

There's peace to be found
As I look all around
As Nature is there
I'm without a care

I lift up my eyes
See the cloudy skies
The rain drops cleanse
I find my peace again

As I breathe in fresh air
I see Life everywhere
When I find strength within
Then the healing begins!

I KNOW YOUR PRESENTS WILL NEVER LEAVE

“I Know Your Presents Will Never Leave ”
(written by Michelle L. LeBlanc 12/24/2023)
Dedicated to my son: Jayden Donald LeBlanc
__

Oh how we miss you
Especially this time of year
Christmas was your favorite holiday
The time for Christmas cheer

It wasn't all about the gifts for you
Although you loved them just the same
Family visits, Christmas lights and music
Always held the brightest flame

You had such a beautiful spirit
You're heart was as good as gold
You had compassion for others
Your smile never grew old

You loved to make people laugh
That was a gift you always gave
Making fun and pulling pranks
Just to get them at their game

You loved Christmas so very much
Just can't stop thinking of you
You're in my heart and in my mind
Even though I press on through

I love you so much, my precious son
How I miss you this Christmas Eve
As I hold your memories in my heart
I know Your Presents Will Never Leave!

The Beauty of Community

"The Beauty Of Community"
(written by Michelle Lynn LeBlanc 11/20/23)

When people come together
It's such a beautiful thing
There's something healing about it
For it brings a peace within

How often do we get caught up
Simply socializing online
When what we really need on the inside
Is coming together for quality time

There's a Beauty In Community
Now so often left unseen
We must get back to the basics
For socialization is in our genes

Healing comes from connection
Strength comes in the bonds we share
Opening our minds with one another
For a personal touch shows we care

Choosing to let down the walls
And learning to trust again
Cannot be found behind our screens
Which is such as popular trend

Healing is not just in our daydreams
Or in our visions of the night
It's in our daily routines
What we choose at the dawn of sunlight

The Beauty Of Community
It's such a remarkable thing
The in-person touch of connection
Far outweighs the dings and pings

So let's get out there and reconnect
It's what we were born to do
Giving hugs and sharing smiles
This is where we'll find our breakthrough!

This Day We Celebrate

“This Day We Celebrate”
written by Michelle Lynn LeBlanc
2023/09/22

This day we celebrate our birthdays
Although this card is specifically for you
Even though we missed your special day
There's no way to forget a friend so true

I still remember the ironing board you bought
Twas the first day you came and we met
Now we're forever in each other's hearts
The best birthday gifts to ever get!

Mohadas, you have a rare and beautiful heart
And a spirit that emanates kindness and love
I just can't express how thankful I am
For such a lovely friend I think the world of!
