in materials science and nanoscience we do not produce strange chemicals or chemistry.
the divestment from chemical engineers and turning in of the repetitive research violations beneath our electrical engineering controls is not cartel, only a correction of the development grants legally allotted to firms to coordinate a conclusion to production lines and manufacturing processes.there is no further material extraction allowed from the universal laws of physics than can be validated in the cost analysis. human beings can not be manufactured, therefor budgets are cut, payrolls are dumped and as people are dying in the streets, the tax revenue must shift to housing laws and overbloated county worker payrolls endure layoffs as a buy-product of a failure to progress with the times.
over ruled.
Layoffs all over the world
Not us I think, not me.
Two hundred and seventy-six teachers laid off.
I have no words.
Waiting to hear more.
Two hours later an automatic call comes in
From my school system.
The person leaves an elaborate message in Spanish.
A language we do not speak.
My husband is saying “why?”
I have no answers.
The same call comes in English thirty minutes later.
The students may come to school tomorrow to pick up
devices like laptops, chrome books, etc. to use for the
next three weeks.
School is not out here.
Hard to believe you graduated
from college 25 years ago.
Anyone who can climb
from ruffian in a juvenile home
to university graduate to
business owner is remarkable.
One day your sons
will come to understand that.
Your siblings as well.
Couldn’t be prouder of your trek,
a magnificent one, done the hard way,
something I viewed from the valley.
My father had a passbook
with cash for me to go to college.
He always had work, hard work,
highly skilled, with no layoffs.
There’s always a demand for hot wire
electricians willing to climb
tall poles and high towers,
attack voltage in any weather.
Life never steps back, forever upstream,
and then suddenly we're salmon.
A final thrust or two and we die.
Thank God we have souls.
Donal Mahoney
I found the strength
walk forward in life
Why crush my hopes and dreams?
I've got a job
Budget cuts layoffs
Why work lose everything?
I’ve open doors
To be closed again
Where are all the good jobs?

Contest: Questionku Two
NEVER venture outdoors when it's raining cats and dogs
It rained cats and dogs during a drought and the farmers were NOT amused
It rained cats and dogs and the county WORKERS were not amused
However they were grateful because there had been recent layoffs
Due to inflation, every time it rains it rains, quarters from heaven
When Gene Kelly sang in the rain he got arrested for disturbing the peace
So Donald O’Conner had to take over and HE got arrested for public intoxication
So they asked Debbie Reynolds and she said, ‘You have GOT to be kidding... I just got my hair done’
Every time it rains, it rains pe…Ouch (THAT’S gonna bruise)
Just my luck…It rained pennies from heaven and I forgot to turn my freekin' umbrella upside down
Due to inflation in now rains quarters from heaven (Dude, you seen the price of UMBRELLAS lately?)
Sure wish it would rain on somebody ELSE’S parade for a change
Once it HAILED on my parade (The floats sustained irreparable damage and there were minor injuries)
Nobody’s gonna rain on MY pa…(Uh, God…You forgot to clear this with Mother again didn't you?)

Like tremolos and glissandos in music,
those crescendos and decrescendos in volume;
there’s observance of discipline and yet,
at the same time, there’s sense of freedom.
similar to life how it’s gonna be lived, so far.
Inroads within the wake of comfort zone
a melange of options shown for actions;
it gives an engaging answer to learn
in pursuit of love and openness to wounds.
Signs and wonders in today’s world,
reveal the message that God still cares;
though some people don’t look at this way
given that gift of faith in countless situations.
Now that modernity becomes superior,
in every way of living or communication;
with computers and electronics technology,
iconic symbols of the so-called Information.
But with higher gas and consumer prices,
along with recession fears and job layoffs;
there’s a call to be productive in every measure
to make ends meet and be really held accountable.
It slips to the periphery of life’s business and tests,
like a race in the battlefield where one competes;
wrestles with woes and sticks to what life holds,
with sense of freedom and God’s meaning to all.
The Boss Comes to Dinner
By Elton Camp
It was for the very first time in my life
We asked to dinner the boss and his wife
Company’s sales and profits were down
And talk of layoffs had been going around
So we thought it’d be a good idea to hurry
And favor with the boss try hard to curry
The two showed up a little before eight
We made sure that dinner wouldn’t be late
The house was shining, so spick and span
To impress him, we had done all we can
Our little son Joey came out into sight
To meet the boss and to say “Goodnight”
“Sir, my Dad talks about you a whole lot.
He tells about how you are such a big shot.
If there’s time, to see you do it, I do wish.
My Father says that you drink like a fish.”
David Opu had more money than money could buy.
He lived his life wanting more, he was corrupted by a lie.
That money can make you happy and tuck you in at night.
That money replaces love, forget wrong and right.
What David didn't understand is that we are all connected in a symbiosis of Earth.
If he would have learned that he might have saved his net worth.
The recession was bad, still David wasn't losing money.
But business without profit was anything but funny.
David called for layoffs, so that profits would soar.
And fired so many, yet he still wanted more...
He rode about town in his black limousine,
What happened next is easily foreseen.
When David got out, Bob Roach was waiting.
Bob was a disgruntled ex-employee there was no debating.
Bob pulled out a knife, and stabbed David in the gut.
David fell to the ground like a wounded, forgotten, dirty mutt.
And he lay on that pavement, bleeding in the warm sunshine.
A victim of circumstance, fresh out of time.
David died on that sidewalk, his life over in blink,
A living testament that we're all part of the same link.
