Premium Memberwhile my guitar gently weeps

lady of the tiger tattoo,
i, the lonesome hunter in queue,
bathe your toes, obscenely straining,
a beleaguered virtue waning
while my guitar gently weeps, i
should scold desire, but hearts deny
seekers trapped by your auburn waves
do meet their ends in many caves

Hisser Tile

Aite and Dolos have whispered
instructions.Her words wish me to
deceive him.

Then Aite said to Dolos.
He will gain nothing and his ruin
shall make Zeus smile.
Dolos are you worthy of trust? Dolos
don't ruin my plans. That even a God
can't trust you. Might you conspire to
have Aite's plan ruined, I may curse you
before Zeus and speak I'll of you amongst
those how wish me as there's. I shall
Whisper instructions to your ruin, this
speakeasy Aite!

Dolos spoke and encouraged his deceit
to have the woman pregnant; but of his
ruin might he prosper and the woman to
be deceived by him. Than men shall
worship the man. And Zeus will hate him
that he loves me!

Premium MemberYearning Converts Into Dream

From the bejeweled sparkling sky
stardust spreads silvery tinsels,
the azure night turns mesmeric,
embracing me with fervent zeal.

I walk in forest in a trance
through mystique mist of reverie,
in the constellation of stars
I see you shaped in charmed contours.

The rising sun lifts a new dawn,
colors spout in the horizon,
paint there an enticing fresco,
I see you portrayed as an art.

As you suffuse me to the core
with the gleam of your charming grace,
its radiance floods my lured heart,
my yearning converts into dream.

Premium MemberScoundrel Moon - Cl

The moon rose quick to kiss the east

And blushed its cheeks in rosy rhyme

               Drew back the starry-curtained feast

And made the reach his bloody crime

O clean me, moon, the sky did chime

And washed he did with pearly fleece

Then painted her with stars, sublime

To dress for eve ... as day had ceased.

Brevity Muse - Cl

for you are my BREVITY MUSE,
the deep metaphors i searched for-
the rhythm to your heart i shan’t lose,
(love, it’s your verses i adore)

coalesced by the vows we swore
under the autumn crimson hues-
depth of my rhyme you did restore…
for our bodies and souls did fuse

Burst of brandished flaming arrow,
Thump of bunnies against my chest,
Cupid’s straight pointer did narrow,
Continue my family crest.

Squawking souls of birds in my nest,
Potent from moonstruck bolero,
Crescendo of lust’s citrus zest —
Cock-a-hoop’s sunstruck sombrero.

Polishing Poems

a lay (lei)

Took a walk in poetry’s field,
many poems caught my appeal.

Planting of new notions I saw
and older verse puts me in awe.

Metaphor, hyperbole, rhyme
alliteration, form take time.

Patina on each unique write
shows poem's polish and sheds light.

Premium MemberSeeking a Slice of Sunshine-Lei

On yearning wings of dream I fly
on cloud nine to your fold, my sky.

My heart unfurls petals of rose
where I feel your dew face repose.

Even when you’re not beside me
love-tinged glint of your eyes I see.

In winter-wan meadow of mine
I seek a slice of your sunshine.

I Lay In Wait

As I lay dormant in the grass,
cold blood fuelling languid dreams
I wait in silence for you to pass
a harmless thing, or so I seem

I lay asleep, my lidless eyes
yet watching all that moves or may
my callous brain computes the size
and danger, marking some as prey

Though I may lay here mute and still
all my being's coiled and ready
to snatch my quarry and quickly kill
yet my pulse is slow and ever steady

I lay as tranquil, as calm as death
as you walk towards your waiting doom
For I will smell your dying breath
when I strike, here in the gloom

Lay Down Beside Me

Lay down beside me
Let's break these picture frames
and roll around in the glass
until our bodies are as bloody as
               our history
We'll burn our souls inside the knots
of your bedpost and sing our burdens
away until they become
                           candle lit shadows
Lay down beside me
in this bed of depression-
springs our Resurrection
We'll make our screams become Gods
and chase the sun out of the sky
so the only light I can see is the cherry
of your cigarette burning straight into me
You were always so much more dazzling
                        in the darkness
And I need someone to tell me
whose blood this really is.

I could see my demons burning in your eyes.

it was a revelation.
I laid there,

tracing constellations on the arc

I knew I had to be
a better man from then on.
I knew you were here
to save me.
