Here at the cabin, there is peace that only God could have inspired – quote by poet
Peaceful thoughts rest on gentle winds
Erasing the darkness within
Revealing secrets of all kinds
Promising joy that’s always been
Erasing the darkness within
Here at the cabin is a ease
Promising joy that’s always been
Blowing softly through the pine trees
Here at the cabin is a ease
Only God Himself could have brought
Blowing softly through the pine trees
His love filling every kind thought
Only God Himself could have brought
The gift of praying with passion
His love filling every kind thought
Though real faith isn’t in fashion
The gift of praying with passion
Comes from knowing Jesus, the Christ
Though real faith isn’t in fashion
For souls, His life He sacrificed
Comes from knowing Jesus, the Christ
Revealing secrets of all kinds
For souls, His life He sacrificed
Peaceful thoughts rest on gentle winds

Mountain laurel perfume wafted in the soft breeze.
Myriads of flittering birds sang in the trees.
At peace on our cabin porch with feet on the rail
Until a trumpet blast called me to hit the trail.
When at last would come my soldier’s release
To return to our laurels, birds, and peace?
With the martial trumpet silent once more,
All survivors returned to their home shore.
Would I limp stiff legged down the last mile,
To laurels, and birds, and your peaceful smile?
Alas, but a dream that came not to pass.
My future lay beneath the clover grass.
Wrapped in red, white, and blue came my release,
To scentless laurels, silent birds and wailing peace.

Always remember the past
That made your life joyful
Forget bitter memories fast
That will be truly useful
In case you cannot assist
At least please stop spoiling
Never show your strong fist
Very bad if blood is boiling
Fighting injects poison only
Into minds that are involved
Avoiding fights help all truly
As problems are then solved
When we keep mind broad
Great mirth we nicely spread
We appease the mighty Lord
Peace enters into our head
If we send a positive message
The whole World gets bliss
Kindness has an advantage
As true Heaven, we never miss.

To expect sure defeat insures a ravaged heart
Returns without the laurels of a certain win
Dampening one's ardor from a challenging start,
Perhaps, it was better this race not to begin.
Enter each endeavor with the will to finish
First among many equals, better than them all,
Never for a moment let your strength diminish
Before a beginning whistle stand straight and tall.
Never let a weakness your competition see
It builds barriers you find difficult to check,
Consider subtle doubt your fiercest enemy
Picture the winning gold medals around your neck.
Engage confidence, never let it run amuck
For winning a race is always far more than luck.

Hark!
It’s getting dark!
Long gone to nest, the lark…
But for the mongrels
Good nominees for Satan’s laurels,
Just for their vicious teeth that spark,
Time to interminably bark
And liberties take
With canines; uncanny mark
That resilient flesh break,
On their victims in amusement parks
Producing un-amusing facsimile of shark’s.
Night guard dogs,
Forever, I have cancelled night jogs.

She climbed the hill of daffadils, her hips held a sway. The mountain laurels were in bloom, this bright sunny day. Meandering thru the forest the soft moss felt so light, she suddenly discovered a lovely mushroom site. She was quite happy with her find, the village of mushrooms surrounded by pines. They were off white, matsutake, if I gather several pounds, how much will they pay? The morel of this story is really not profound, as long as your still on this earth be sure to look around.

R-est not on your laurels
A-im now for more achievements;
K-now other plans or designs,
E-nergy makes fruitful
M-oments.
V-ictory isn't far behind,
I-n the morn of January fifteenth;
L-et the horizon be clear,
L-et it not turn into a labyrinth.
A-spire to greater deeds, enter into the triumph's portals;
R-ise to a higher degree, rest not on your laurels.

When burdened by the weights of my mortality,
Confronted with the fate of fallen flesh,
My eyes behold a semblance of eternity
A vestige of the joys that truly bless,
Descending from the firmaments above
And following the ashes of the night,
For that which bears the noble name of love
Hath raised our spirits to their highest height.
The gifted muses of forgotten times,
Whose words were writ' with fabled eloquence,
Could find no virtue, earthly or divine,
To match its beauty and magnificence.
Though men may cease to breathe and words may lie,
Their lofty praise of love shall never die.

If thoughts be laurels then I'd be a king,
Honing skills in dark alcoves of my mind.
Like muddy waters in a rain-soaked spring,
Life without meaning cannot be defined.
This oaf would a fool for a learned man;
Lethargy my mantra, why should I work?
Begrudge me not fools - ye form your own plan;
My smile is of joy, it's not all a smirk.
Life without fulfillment doesn't exist;
Excuse for failure or lack of life's drive.
Meaningless platitudes or chances missed;
Cancers of the soul just grow and they thrive.
Yet sanctity of life is what's meant to be;
Man can't thrive, if he's unable to see.
