Kwerekwere

Kind people
With good respect
Educated from different universities and Schools
Responsible in their lives and knowing well to
Economize their small or big  budgets.
Knowing to speak Kikwerekwere languages from
West , East , South , Central , North Africa
Especially in South African big towns  and Some
Rural areas of Free state , Limpompo, Northern cape
Eastern  cape , Mpumalanga , and Kwazulu Natal   provinces

Kwazulu Natal

A second time around is always the best
They say and said
As I land on the unfamiliar ground
The clarity would be clarified
Thee shoe belonged to me

Embrace my uniqueness
As the lions roar in the jungle
Accept my flaws
As the waves form a unity
Indulge my senses
As the ocean moves vigorously
Love me for who I am
As I have come to see the beauty of the land
Show off the culture
As I have got respect for other people beliefs

A journey to be remembered
They reckoned
As I embark on it
The stupidity would be left speechless
Thee beginning of a new era

My Best Bouquets

My Best Bouquets

Exotic crocuses and ferns, Appalachian Trail …
Baby’s breath that takes one’s breath away -
Orchids and epiphytes near inland waters of KwaZulu-Natal
A few from Fynbos, near Table Mountain
Even a national flower, the Protea, illegal
To take (when we camped only once, New Year’s weekend, when I was innocent and practising Yoga)
From my mountain, near my grandest river, the Tugela ...
At the Drakensberg. Even my street had that Name

They are not on my table, here in Virginia
No, not even in Maryland, a Great State …
Nor in Athens (Ohio) where all roads lead to
(or leave forever)
Nor even in some backyard, of friend or former foe
I never picked these. Not one!
The Universe thanked me for Consenting Consciousness
For sharing more of Presence, less of clutter and Form
When all forms go, only Consciousness - the One - remains.

Change of Address

My old firm now seemed to have an African address,
I wondered how much of it was just a mess,
Green Lane had become No. 1 Moffat Ave., Kwazulu,
now I could hear the locals muttering:
'Oogu poogu poogu! ( you are a fool)

I had visions of an asegai shuddering into the door,
Rorke's Drift really happened in the time of the Boer;
I used to draw charts, we had an African employee,
I wondered why he couldn't do them instead of me.

Because he wasn't good enough, muggins was in line,
client's requirements - don't forget the rack for the wine;
the symbols on the columns said: 'You must enjoy -
whether you like it or not, please don't call me 'boy.'

They buried Winnie, ironic name as she was a loser,
after 'necklaces,' killing boys, we shouldn't excuse her.

The tribe of tribes of South Africa
Lead by their king Shaka
1816 they formed their state
As they head into history
What be their fate

British Conflict, internal rife
13 kinglets loss of life
Rorke's Drift 1879
Mission manned, all was fine

British soldiers, African colonials
Squared up to the Zulu swell
Attack after attack,
Murderous aggression
Who really won
This theatre session

KwaZulu homeland, now KwaZulu-Natal
Buthelizi, Inkatha political hell
Members of the above and the ANC
Fight amongst themselves
For the country they want free

This mighty tribe, over a century ago
Powerful and strong, as their neighbours would know
But in this modern world, as history has told
Another tribe no longer the bold.

Me

Fathima
Naughty,nice,sweet and silly
Sister of Naaema and Ameen
Lover of chocolates,nature and Afzal
Who feels pain, heartache and intense love
Who fears the Almighty, thunder and death
Who would like to see Kilimanjaro, the sahara and the pyramids
Resident of Vryheid,Kwazulu natal, South frica
