one eight-hundred NOTHING

that’s the number that you call

that charge-free line to NO ONE

when you’ve cracked a hip or fall

should you have dire emergencies

and need some schmuck to care

               dial six-six-eight, four-four-six-four

     it’s for sure … I WON’T be there.

A tiny moment, so fleeting, so fast
Here, then gone, not prone to last,
A second in time, gone, lost, kaput
The very thought, a kick in the gut.

Congress Kaput

Joe Biden is starting to whine
The Democrats won't toe the line
They can not agree
That we should all see
A politician has a spine

At night, can't fall asleep, mornings can't wake up
What's wrong, seems my internal clock is kaput
Not really worried
Probably the curry
Must lay off or my bum's gonna fire like a musket

Some days I'm firing on all cylinders it seems
Then it all goes kaput and it's nothing but steam
Try to muddle through
Not easy to do
Till I wiggle and giggle and once again beam

my sister in crime, Jan Allison!

Nada Niche Kaput

Lost in the pool of insignificance ...sea
Stagnent fragments of Ich und thee
Doused harranged suffocation fired
Within the forests of once
Primed
Desired
Piteous pokes at one anothers
Finger
Prints
One doth jokes yet hints
Such mallous
Scratches beneath the surface pores
Both settle up whilst
Counting scores
There is no minutes for time consuming Passion
Tis gawn with the dawn
Yawn....
Outta fashion
Outragous
That this lady should wish for more than the alchole infused clown
Go with his flow
Dragging scanties down
Bare raw bones chafed
For she who's lost with
Nada.....faith

Swing Gone Kaput

The first time we saw each other
Comets collided in the heavens above
For all we felt was just fireworks
Beautiful as only two hearts could be when they explode
She desired me with all she had
I wanted to put a ring on her finger with all my heart

From the moment we first held hands and said hi
To the moment she said ‘I do’ and changed her last name to mine
Paradise was the only address we would be found
However, as soon as we woke up to the reality that...
To each other we now belonged
A feeling of imprisonment begun clouding our life

The candle lit dinners and late night movies... kaput
The friends we trusted and cherished... kaput
The love that once filled our hearts... kaput
The home that was once a beautiful haven of love... kaput
Papers were served and signed every which way... happiness went kaput
All because of a one night swing that shouldn’t have been... marriage’s now kaput
