How proud they put them on display
Two thousand of the first of fortyk
There President Bukele did say
They’ll live in the jailhouse for decades
he went on boasting, in jail it’s judgement day,
as he held his glass of brandy toasting
inmates, suspected violent gang members
moved to a new mega-prison in El Salvador
Transferred to the Center of Confinement of Terrorism
Mixed up, unable to do any more harm
to the population, it was said
So why do I care about these souls,
tears flowed as I read the article
about thousands of prisoners, and Bukele in particular
Central American country’s notorious pandillas
And right then I understood why I cried
Hundreds never made it to round two, que pesadillas
There are the innocent ones who are denied
a fair trial, it's sad to think that nothing can be done
for a mother's innocent son

Premium Member A Jailhouse Artist

I am a jailhouse artist,
I paint with whatever I got,
I have no brush or pigment,
That can help me out,
All I have is pen and paper,
And some thoughts to toss about,
I just do whatever I can do,
To share my creativity,
From my “artistic” soul for you.

Wrongfull Imprisonment In the County Jailhouse

Office what do we have here, handcuffed to this big chair?
She looks mighty young, what's her awesome crime?
Got to affix the penalty and the time to the crime...
What did she do, kill her mama and her pa...rob a bank, steal a car?
She looks mighty young, was she carrying a big stick, knife, a gun?
Is she a sniper, dope peddler, a user too - Speak up officer what did she do?
Did she try to do away with you too? Who called for you to bring her in?

You chased her into the home of her friend and bodily brought her in!
Jay walked!...eleven years old! Gave you some sass - man uncuff that child fast!
Boy, you have really done it now! You are in big trouble and so are we -
Man set that child free - Office I know you've been told to uphold the law,
But this time I think you done gone too far!
Lord have mercy! Stop crying child we are calling your mama right now!

Premium Member Jailhouse Blues

He said it was the booze
That caused him to abuse
And leave her with a bruise.
The judge said, " I don't excuse.

I simply must refuse
Your efforts to diffuse.
Your answers don't amuse.
It's just your lawyer's ruse.

You have too short a fuse
And I've had time to peruse
The reasons that she sues.
My answer is ..You lose!

Take the laces from his shoes
And lock him up in the calaboose."

Jailhouse Blues

the jailhouse blues have consumed me
the life that I lived has doomed me
for all of the things I've done so wrong
the law says this is where I belong

society says that justice is due
for a life of crime and mischief too
if only I knew then what I know now
I' have lived my life different somehow

so here I sit feeling so sad
because of the things I did that were bad
I know I have no right to complain
my crimes and bad deeds, I cannot explain

Jailhouse Blues

My sister is in the jailhouse my nephew's too.
They're all singing those jailhouse blues.
In there for stealing, murder and drugs.
Their moma's didn't give enough kisses and hugs.
Try to ask my sis how ya doin at least once a week.
She say's sister your letters are so sweet.
I try to send her money to get what she needs.
Our moma would say come on Teresa do a good deed.
This was wrote for you sis I hope you think it's funny.
From your loving sister and your brother-n-law Bunny.
