Jailhouse Blues

The jailhouse blues have consumed me
The life that I lived has doomed me
For all of the things I've done so wrong
The law says that this is where that I belong

Society says that justice is due
For a life of crime and mischief too
If only I knew then what I know now
I'd have lived my life different somehow

So here I sit feeling so sad
Because of the things I did that were bad
I know I have no right to complain
My crimes and bad deeds, I cannot explain
