Premium Member Is Nothing Sacred Anymore

Once I learned I’d have to pay for my sins
Today I see there’s not a sin that’s not ‘in’

Once I was told to respect every teacher
Today a teacher’s the lowest of creatures

Once the US flag was a source of pride
Today it only serves to divide

Once girls admired a ‘man in uniform’
Today they seek out ‘singular unicorns’

     Once teens practiced ‘making conversation’
Today they can’t talk, they’re texting sensations...

Did everything die; is nothing sacred anymore
Well, kids still ask parents for money
~ only today a whole lot more

Keeping Up With Society

How does an old man as old as me
Keep up with the changes in society

Men can be women, old men can be girls
Pronouns can be mx or they, or hers

Abortion is healthcare through faces proud
Is said by the bearer who echoes the crowd

The word “marriage” has changed from the ancients
Is nothing pure? Is nothing sacred?

Positive and negative no longer are compliments
Now we’re the same cos no need for supplements

Sport now reflects the querying of boundaries
Like robots obeying we are and non-binaried

All whites are oppressive without a choice
Everyone else sings in harmonic voice.

The floodgates opened in 2014
Homosexual marriage the new morphine

All institutions now deceitfully captured
So called progressives buoyantly enraptured

The decline of the west has left me behind
But eternal truth is on my side.

For All Mankind

Beyond like a dream
 unfolding on this historic day
astronauts head skyward - heroes,
fools, call them what you may

The world watches in awe
its genesis where no man has been.
Strange land, a new beginning -
behold the lunar return to Eden

A cratered moon beckons,
this globe of reflected light -
Armstrong and Aldrin silently land,
 Mike Collins considers his plight

Each man had their rituals
 at this point in time.
Aldrin in silence broke the bread
 and drank the holy wine

Now only bootprints remain
for some celestial traveller to find,
and a commemorative plaque that reads
“We came in peace for all mankind”

O’ moon, they walked over you -
 revealed, you shine naked.
Your secrets exposed in the name of man...
 Christ! Is nothing sacred?

Premium Member His Wife Is Giving Him the Silent Tweetment

My neighbour’s addicted to Twitter
He’ll tweet when he’s doing a ‘sitter’
When he squats for a dump
He tweets more than Don Trump
No wonder his wife feels so bitter

The whole world knows what Fred is doing
He’s tweeting whilst weeing and poohing
Is nothing sacred
For tweet obsessed Fred
I wonder if divorce is now brewing!

Undocumented Notes On the Aftermath of a Suicide

Backward word exceptions for me
from mothers cold lipless tongue drips lies,
White and stagnation
void of a life.-
Is nothing sacred mother?
My mother?
Is nothing pure?
Even babies defecate and are never clean anymore.
I fail--as she fell.
But two eyes are better than three
and doesn’t allow such and such’s brain to bleed.
She had her head on the floor but she had her eye on me.
Lips soft as a kiss and open for guests but no feelings
there was no life there
nothing intermission to flatten the flowers and lost.

Further expeditions into my fragile fragmented psyche
leads one to a temporary understanding of life
through the perspective of one afraid of conformity
yet change
yet being identified as a same
the same-ness is a blow to the ego center
bordering on ego death
but only by a completely Egotistico way
you and you and you and me I you and we
our seasons the moment we are zero: a free radical

Jaded Little Fairytale

So jaded, misappropriated, confused and lost. Fairly fairytales,
Lived, at what cost? Is nothing sacred anymore?

Modern day Cinderellas’ marry princes and are soon swept away by crocodiles
with beguiling smiles.

Prince Charming, answers the call of false maidens in distress
Who appeal to a nature so base, he sits alone in a ramshackle castle obsessed
With wooing not keeping,
all the while held together by twine and broken glass, into his heart, darkness creeping

While Romeo is in loved with Mercutio instead of Juliet
When animals are treated as children and children are treated just like pets.
When we live side by side with fragile happiness, but welcome regrets.

When indifference and passion are fellow bed mates
And the expected prognostication of marriage is more convenience and less about faithfulness and faith.

When dreams are shattered as soon as they are born
When the steady cadence of dying love comforts the love-lorn
When heartache is expected and dreams unspoken

That is when the fairy-tale is broken.

Life Is Short

Life Is Short

By Elton Camp

Life is short says Ashley Madison
Reach out now and have some fun

Our hook-up site is totally discreet
Where the hottest ladies you meet

Check out that sexy profile
It’ll be sure to make you smile

A little adultery will be okay
So give it a spin, right away

Joe decided to give it a try
So a membership did buy

He thought his wife shouldn’t care
With another lady, her hubby to share

It wasn’t Victorian times anymore
When sex, decent people did abhor

One day, when Joe was trying
To be sure wife wasn’t spying

A discovery filled him with disgust
Her account utterly violated his trust

“Is nothing sacred anymore!
My wife’s nothing but a whore!”

He began to loudly curse and frown
“Ashley Madison should be shut down!”

Haiku

Down,down come the trees,
Forests ravaged by pure greed.
Is nothing sacred?

Stuck In Today

Of a different time,
I’m sure I’ve been left behind.
I’d rather have been left,
all the souls I could have met.
They’re no longer here,
well some are, but
their end is near.
What will become
of all of us,
when morality we cannot trust?

I refuse to understand,
understand today.
The things some people say,
the way young people play.
How is nothing sacred?
And music full of hatred?

To know the love
of a swing song,
to be back where I belong.
To see things in black and white,
I think that’s when I’d feel right.

Please bring me back to the place,
where things just started to become fast paced.
I know I’ve left behind a trace
of where I’m from, just in case,
I could go back to how I lived.
It’s not certain if I ever did.
But in my thoughts I sang at night
in a lounge with smoke,
and dim lights.
My vintage heart won’t let me stay,
but I’m stuck here, in today.
