Interludes In Life

Wonderful sunshine
Happiness to an angel
Singing through this cutie
A piece sung by Celine Dion
My Heart Will Go On.

Hot noon day a blazing fury
A poor PWD weightlifter
Trying her best practice religiously
Unmindful the poor physical condition of the gym
She's still manage to cup a prize for her name.

Misty cold evening at ground hotel
A lonesome romantic dancer
Dancing on the floor in rhythmic motion
Accompaniment of a grand piano
Played by a centenarian grandpa.

Strained Interludes

Graceless facades---
The tiring age old game
Of mindless testing
Grows heavy beneath the brow.
The charade is hard to sustain---
Sometimes impossible---
Yet we must bear it
Time after time after endless time.
The cold fire keeps rolling,
Pushing testing the old confines
Beneath the eyes---

How much longer.....

Interludes Experimental

"Interludes Experimental"

Written in clouds
what eyes miss
patterns repeat
in minds
like poets speak

fast and irretrievable
irrelevance misses
the parenthesis
buried in interludes
experimental

in minds
like poets speak

Interludes of Contentment

When I wander the realms of daydreams,
and fond memories of being with you,
my heart engages in sweet release.

Within those indulgent moments
I find solace and a calming peace,
      brief interludes of contentment.

Interludes of Solitude

In dreams I'm offered interludes of solitude
where worries are calmed in total quietude
I'm swimming in the depths of a placid night
so don't wake me from my whimsical flight
I'm in still waters, where lotus flowers grow
It's soothing to be among their saffron glow

I'm being gently lulled by the motion of waves
Serenity is the healer that my psyche craves
I find soft glimmers of repose and satisfaction
away from the world's dark fretful distraction
In these moments my heart has sweet release
while I drift along in some semblance of peace

In dreams time stands completely still, so I laze
contentedly floating while my eyes stargaze
Flickering fireflies generously luminate my way
Within these solitary intervals, I wish to stay
I've been told that I'm frivolous to waste time
but dreaming is an indulgence I find sublime

Tender notes
harmonic echoes
ancient myth
a specter
half man, half goat, pan-piping
a Faunus named Pan.

Where fairies
dance and play all day
Pan pipes his
lovely songs
ethereal, images
display in moonlight.

Fleeting scenes
woodland dreams play out
greenwood stage
moonlights play
a mythic operetta
in night lit gardens.

Bad poetry is what one gets
when horny people don't have sex
so if this rhyme seems juvenile
give me a break, it's been a while

Interludes of a Night Rat

You can not plan out the day’s use of words.
You can not predict noon’s thoughts and moods.
You can not lasso in the interludes of reality
And press it here with the carnations
Destined for long life,
Pressed in the good book,
The big black book filled with violence and salvation.
You can not know the answers found in the twilight of now.
Know the reasons why life is a big test.
Know the questions never asked or seen beforehand.
The big test with no answer key.
You can not lasso in the interludes of reality.
You can not take time and sit on it
So it won’t get away.
But it does, my friends.
Like the night rat,
Time sneaks outside the house every night for
The bigger crumbs.
It’s comforting these days to look into the mirror
And see an old man ready for the voyage,
A final voyage beyond the noon’s thoughts and moods.
I sit in the still caressing of death.
I sit in the still cemetery
And I can hear the barn owl eating the night rat.

~ ~

through eyes that glow ruffling your hair
we warm the room with luminous stares
a gentle ambrosia drapes the fragrant air
with wine from your lips --- and just there
this need to melt in immortal surrender
kindles as rows of candlelight declare
kept promise of twenty years deeply shared
and while laugh lines crease slight wear and tear
the charm of life’s interludes makes me aware
~ how we glide together still burning and bare

Sweet Interludes

In slumber’s hold, love’s dream remains secure,
untainted by tomorrow’s blighted days
and quiet dark yields visions to procure;
infusions, gently seeping as she lays
in tranquil seas. Poetic verses rise
to take her soul with rhythmic tenderness,
caressed by subtle rhyme she reaches highs

...sweet interludes of pure exquisiteness.
