Interludes of Contentment

When I wander the realms of daydreams,
and fond memories of being with you,
my heart engages in sweet release.

Within those indulgent moments
I find solace and a calming peace,
      brief interludes of contentment.

Beautiful poem, Jenna. the moments of contentment are precious whatever the source is, but it seems better when they come from memories of a presence of one you love. Bless you and your poetry, Bill

It is strange how some people enjoy just being near a loved one . . . .

Sometimes being near is enough to bring contentment, and sometimes memories are the closest we can get to them. Thanks, Rico.
