POETIC INHALATION
As waves thrashed on emotion,
causing sense of suffocation ,
Mind needs poetic inhalation
to lighten pain,
to brighten joy,
to enlighten soul.
Emotive urge surges,
Ardent ardour adorns,
Dormant dream desires.
Ensuing exhalation of ennui .
There is an art to expressing emotional existence.
Like a gentle breeze whispering to spring petals,
but sometimes our tongues are too tired to speak.
In the tender spaces where silence roams,
to heal, I release thoughts to swim with
metaphorical ripples, floating slowly through waves,
kissing sandy shores or merging with the sea.
Words forgive and soothe when weaved freely,
like a reminder of cleansing sentimental lyrics,
which reset the mind to allow the heart to calm.
Between anemones
where the soil smells damp
Lungs are filled with poetry
Destiny, the exact moment
Breathing, embroidered cosmos rhythm
Synonym, a balance setting
Metaphors sticks to the palate
- sweet chewing gum
which grows and grows
... must spit it out
Inhales prosaic air
muse probes breeze
Filtering depth
as image melees
Drum snares the heart
beating out dull pain
Osmosing spores
form finely tuned rain
Patters tap source
concept ignites
Erupts into thought
exhales and writes
“I should submit it to the Smithsonian Institute it seems”
“ Be careful this could all be in your dreams” By the poet to the poet.
Euphoric stimulation rushing through my mind,
When I read a poem which was quite a find.
It dazzled my mind, I felt the poem’s vibration,
Did this genius come from some Divine inspiration?
Compelled my heart to flutter, breathing quickens.
Who wrote this, could it have been Dickens ?
Remembering, it was I that these words did utter.
Breathing quickens, compelled my heart to flutter.
Am I experiencing poetic inhalation, is this a holy grail?
Gasping for breath with untold fiasco, an effort to exhale.
Awakened by first morning's light
stepping one foot on the floor at a time
the smell of coffee brewing fills my house
my senses tingling
as I sit at a cluttered kitchen table
filled with last night's poetry
unfinished works from days ago
overtaken by typical daily dust
Comparable to the lonely ache, fading, when a tear stings my eye.
Grasping the silence, the way glittering stars meet the night.
Stirring the flames of reconciliation with laughter and excitement.
Rejoicing in the soothing way a heart reflects generosity.
Bringing life to the echo, washing away the past with cool raindrops.
Playing the music that flows through the soul, erasing the darkness.
Sounds of peace mastering the grace that breathes in the quiet.
Blessings of light awakening the moments when sun warms the spirit.
Whispers and sighs, tracing lips the way a lingering kiss bids its muse.
Poetry flows, like rivers of love, when the spirit just knows exact words.
I'm perplexed! My breath chocks as Euterpe, Calliope,
Erato, Apollo, and modest Muses leading me
Through the refreshingly flooding streams of Antiope
To heavens, where I am, like an eagle, endlessly free
I can breathe here a frankincense-filled aromatic air.
In whose flow my atria-ventricular blocks open
Pranayama, whose parikrama in performance is rare
It overwhelms, as though the dam of feelings is broken.
When talons cannot grab prey, when feathers stick to the chest,
When, like an eagle, I meet the challenge of 'do' or 'die'
I go to the hills. I struggle the worst and pass my test.
In each effort, as though a mother in labour, I sigh.
In each poetic breath, I see the Brahman at the helm.
Does Brahman see my poems as I wish him to see them?
As I read poetry,
I love reading the amazing words.
When breathing in,
each word comes alive.
When breathing out,
I feel alive inside.
Rhymes make me want to dance,
like a pair of dancers dancing across the page.
Poems give my heart peace,
as my emotions come to a rest.

Love
is you,
rare special
being, my sweet
enchanting soul—you
complete my universe,
because you live, i live, by
inhaling your existence in
the depths of your marrow, loving you
truly, madly, deeply in sapphire blue
emotions, devoted only to you,
marrying your gold heart everyday
of my life, for you are a gift,
a masterpiece of God, you
are my first last love of
my life, merging to
become one with
your golden
halo
love.
I was having a long spell of constipation,
my stomach forgot what’s called motion.
It got busy with lazy fermentation bout,
and chose its own way to let the gas out.
One morn I took the lift down, feeling tense,
with the bloated up belly fostering flatulence,
I couldn’t hold, when I let loose in the elevator,
I heard someone ask, “where’s the inhalator”?
