Premium MemberA New World

Minds turned into images
Barren moments, parched feelings
Drowned in haste and unease,
Self-indulgent and covetous

Desolate technology slaves
Imprisoned in closed cabins
Chained to the chairs
Eyes fixed on the screens

Human skeletons with dried hearts
Drained and deserted relationships
Torn emotions and tainted lives
Emptiness all around

Ruled by commerce and profit
Turning world in to market
With frozen conscience
Infringing the peace loving souls

Bred by craze, power and greed
Aimless swarms and awry crowds
Turning planet in to an oven
Yelling advancement and progress

Green turned into grey
Sky turned into smog
Breeze turned into beast
Violating nature’s chastity

Where are the relaxing rooftops
Trees and the chattering birds
Clear sky and the morning dew
Seducing sunsets and cozy evenings

Lost in the crew of human creatures
Serene, pure, tender and loving
Living in isolation and disenchantment
Waiting for the return of olden days

Seems a forlorn hope in mighty milieu
Crafted by the self-centered masters
Impervious to human virtues
But, the hope never dies

Come Back

With blood on the line
He's sent down deep into an abyss
By his chosen true deeds
All trusted allies

With blood on the line
He's been defamed
Hell infringing upon his days
He melds, yeah, he's made

Unto him who listens amiss
Like a river wouldn't flow aback
He's been done hard about
He's back, yeah back and stronger

With blood on the line
Like a ragged-fine linen
He's battered and tattered
By his precious chosen corner

An industrious pain duly inflicted on him
Hard and wise he acclimatized
Like a wronged beast he'll surely devour
A one, and two at the mountain's shore

Life is weak still strengthened with evil
A number of human is but the devil
Grace is gracious to break him free
Thus his come back against the villain

Order in court, you're charged fallible,
Held in contempt for rhymes impassable.
    Corny pick-up lines I applaud,
    Infringing copyrights is fraud!
That is why we are not compatible.

Premium MemberAnother Alien Invasion

I've heard about the arrival of fanciful fushia strangers
but I've no fear of them and not worried about dangers.
They seem a bit nonsensical; funny the way they speak
To me, everything they say comes out sounding like Greek!

Maybe on their planet, peaches have three turquoise eyes
Could they be humans, just wearing an alien disguise?
I've never heard the haloed moon referred to as mother Mary,
nor of opulent opal oceans and a three humped dromedary.

I call them fluff nuggets; an accurate description, I think
Their gibberish makes me shake with laughter, quick as a wink
Life forms like these AI are manipulated by puppet strings
They're infringing upon planet Earth, inhabited by Earthlings.

*These are my thoughts and words, but if you take umbrage with
any of the lines, I'll throw Jan under the bus, cuz she started it.

Premium MemberA Headlong Plunge

Draped in the darkness of the night
In a weather so dull and blight
Sad thoughts like a deadly shooter
Come out to bombard her outright

Shaking off their fitful slumber
They rise from their inert stupor
From the reservoir deep, spill out
As through newly opened shutter

They come from an unknown hideout
As all trace of life to wipe out
Unable to block the current
She totters in a drunken bout

They spill forth in mighty torrent,
With a beastly force violent
Like an angry mob on long wait,
Infringing all rules, nonchalant

Caught in the vortex of that spate
Her body began to gyrate
She lost all her sense of balance
Her sad fate, no one could abate

Premium MemberI, the Libertarian

Mind if I tell you, honestly, I’m a Libertarian
A firm believer in the free will of the individual,
A strong promoter of individual liberty …
I have always called it “the priesthood of the believer,”
The right to come to my own philosophy of religion,
No hierarchies handing down edicts and creeds;
No Popes, no judges, no “soul superintendents!”
Politically, I believe we have too much government
Infringing upon our individual lives; that we, the people,
Are being over-taxed without sufficient representation
By those we elected to consider our General Welfare:
Who take us to war, while never having fought in one,
Who take our money, while not hearing our voices.
Who obfuscate and then…well, tell us outright lies,
Who do not defend our liberties, but steal them
Away from us little by little; and, one day we shall
Awaken and wonder what happened while we slept!

Premium MemberAn Autumn Crisp and Clean

As Autumn scents return to me once more
sending me to a sweet October brush
infringing on each leaf the earthen floor
of reds and golds collect me in their rush;
While breezes raise the feathers off a thrush
I harbor long and sweet by rivers end
just basking in  the moment of Godsend;
Firing up my senses with cooling love,
she's crisply cleans my soul with her portend
then makes my hands infit inside my glove.

Harmony

life with words
a poet paints

from the road I pondered
observing harmony’s Monet
man and beast at peace comingled
in spring’s release this day

marvelous is the world of wonders
displayed in earthly gardens
celebrating season's change
rejuvenating pardons

flora fauna along waltz with man
acknowledging the other
infringing secretly
from covert cover

creatures even creepy crawlers
harmonize in compromise
cooperate survive the day
socialize and revitalize

fortunate was I this day
to realize
mankind may coexist
as others theorize

life with words
a poet paints

To My Love Part 7 Final

Lupus Dei, grief of the heart, sealed eyes...
Has he not spoken of the total collapse of his identity?
Gorged in simplicity of his violent shadows, foreboding
Giving almost the most beautiful cataleptic look full of texture
The one that is in a dreamland between love and longing,
A heart completely exposed to a bayonet forged in the fires at Mediana.
A persistent agony of dissolution shall make no rule
As I demand it to be silent, in my head, in my heart, in my soul,
It shall not display negative or destructive rituals, or
Insensible impatience or it shall not raise the voice or angst
That would disturb the peace at a small well in the oasis of aspiration,
It shall not be prohibitive, unduly, infringing or chaotic,
It shall not be so!
Oh shadows, shadows of the dark,
Set the chain of events free
Let them be modest and true
In the darkened arc – ignite a spark
Let me in – let it be!
As ever, with love.

Grim Measures For Similar States

grim measures for similar states
successful, expressed for reliable mobs
of absolutism, a gallery for Maghreb’s
intellectuals with frail aims
infringing mourning words, words of familiarity saved
for mobile polities, throbs
life, mummified and buried bodies and robes
of rebels recalling shades
edging, forming better incestuous ties and ordeals
lying bare, conjoined with flashy movements
of isolation, optional signs
distorted senses, resolving identities
of sepulchers, not salvaged forever, endorsements
of decadence agitated condign

Measles

Measles, mumps and chicken pox,
Insidious diseases,
Were all a part of childhood,
Paired with earaches, strep and sneezes.

But that was many years ago
And scientists have found
The vaccinations needed
So those germs won’t get around.

Except in some communities
Where parents do refuse
To inoculate their children
Due to controversial views.

So new cases of the measles,
Once now gone, have reappeared
And now hundreds are infected,
Which the health officials feared.

To the anti-vaccinators,
With your self-indulgent ways,
You’re infringing on your neighbors;
Sometimes selfishness betrays.

Waterways

WATERWAYS

waves infringing on the
shore
tell the next swell there’ll be
more
powerless against the
tide
on vast seas and oceans
wide

WATERWAYS COLLIDE

are we helpless hearts off
beat
as life sweeps us off our
feet
shipwrecked souls that sink
deplete
island egos too far
 to reach

WATERWAYS DIVIDE

and so we end before we
begin
fear thwarts our desires
to win
little by little life robbed
and stole
until it gained complete
control

now
passive

Once Again

Once again, it is raining,
And it's black outside,
While the sun should be shining.
My homework is left undone,
But my friends are lost with no help,
My lover, she misses me,
But I cannot go to thee.

Once again, the dogs are barking,
People are intruding and infringing.
I've lost my mind, but I don't care,
God is mad, but even he has not no will,
I've let everyone down,
Yet you must not frown.

Once again, you're beautiful,
Yet you're crying, blinding yourself,
Such gracefulness ruined,
But no shaming, you're still perfect,
emotions running through,
Smiles and giggles is all we can do.

Once again, the sun is setting,
As glorious and golden as ever,
the sky's jewel ends the day.
Darkness falls, interests speak,
Love makes its way,
My lover, she misses me still,
She's such a thrill.

Once again, as the moon creeps,
I walk the streets to her way,
Her beauty is my goddess,
Angels envy us,
Prettiness as she sleeps,
Dawn's light marks my farewell.

Once again, here I go,
To school and learning,
Ousted to love,
Her beauty I hold too dear,
For tonight I shall stay without a fear.

The Ennui of the Lost

Ennui conspires insipid moods
infringing human awareness,
ruled by a lunatic vision,
not controlled by insight and lucidity;
and a desire for a Dolce Vita
mollifies a false illusion
to appear on an intaglio, to gradually
become a shining insignia.

To steer a ship, takes effort and patience,
and if its course is guided by favorable winds,
all is well for the adventurous captain;
and should he lose focus, lured by lunacy and nihilism,
his enthusiasm wears off and failure sets in...
and his ship will lurch on unfriendly waves,
and his ennui deprives him of courage to deviate
from the safe route when nocturnal vision is lost indeed.

Ennui insinuates myopia,
muzzling the voice and halting
the mind's performance,
thus forging the promise of utopia;
and the hunch is to pursue intuition
whenever it may lead...being
the holster controlling the steed,
getting rid of the humdrum and huff,
humming and ignoring the hourglass,
which trickles the sand to infuse fear.
