eyes met, magnetic, melting every fear, thirst quenching
as the stars left a dewy trail on the twilight
flowing in secret rhythms of heartfelt passions
stirring awake the feelings reflected in this tender gaze

maelstrom
surrounded

activities
of
shimmering
beauty

to
reflect
as
an apt
memorial

Impulses In Zenith

lizards mating die in electric lines
snakes coil hibernate lay eggs ---
dogs die crossing highways

same could be said of every animal
none is great when impulse strikes ---
could man claim exception?

Impulses

The scarecrow is stylish
with its yellow umbrella
and new bucket,
but the young man jogging past isn't impressed,
and despite future conversations
with the parish priest,
plucks an ear of corn
to carry home.

The huntsman’s horn in
The School Boy is non-
native. But he likes the 

poem, hears a snake-
charmer’s pipe vicariously,
empathizes with Blake’s

boy’s love of  innate 
freedom, and then doodles
in boredom. Next period,

he slips down from
the top of Pythagorean 
theorem. He snoozes in

the Neolithic Age at noon. 
His brain balks at learning.
Teachers avoid pain with

peace of passivity.

Impulses
Electric Signals flaming through my brain
Thoughts are flashing by my eyes so quickly
I fear that my mind is going insane.
A flash of sanity hits me like a hammer
I see the replay from the visions of my past
My mind is warning me not to be in haste 
Becoming that nervous wreck 
On the high way of

Impulses

Musty
Creepy
Dark hallways
My silent room
The moans groaned louder...
Louder...
Louder...
With every tick of the clock

Frustrated
And anxious
I paced around
Impulses crept up slowly...
Slowly...
Slowly...
Until I called her up

Impulses

Ink words of cheer when fear brings dread,
Move faith right here to purge afraid.


Prompt poise to pun with turn of wit,
Urge noise to run when joy now fits.


Live in the light so dark can't stay,
Set then your sights on zest that plays.


Etch a fond thrill as you smile now,
Style a sure will as gap endows.

Love fills my sights with vivid joy,
Observe the flow of simple things;
Voice now feels light as play brings ploys,
Echoes tint show in placid flings;
Live then the sway of profound times,
Yield to the pulse that comes to be.
Intuit the way to sound fine rhymes,
