Scales of Control

In scales of steel, the city sleeps
Where dragon laws in darkness creep
The streets are veins of ancient stone
Where freedom's blood has long been flown.

The towers pierce the smoky sky
Like claws that grasps and never die
The people move with careful pace
Under eyes that watch each secret place.

Through gates of fire, the rulers pass
Their shadows cast in endless glass
Where every breath must be confessed
And dreams themselves are put to test.

But deep within the burning core
A spark remains that dares ignore
The chains of law, the weight of might
And whisper still endless light.

The Phoenix Glass

Through shattered glass, I see my past
Reflected fragments of what didn't last
Like ripples on a midnight sea
Each piece reveals a part of me.

The phoenix rises from the deep
Where shadows dance and secrets sleep
With every step, I claim my ground
Between the worlds I've turned around.

In cosmic depths, I find my voice
Where darkness meets the inner choice
To rise above the breaking pain
And turn my scars into wings again.

The mirrors crack, the pieces fall
But in their shards, I hear it all
The whispers of my deepest soul
Guiding me to make myself whole.

Premium MemberListen to the Wind

Listen to the wind sweeping autumn leaves,
pirouetting amongst a citrine sunset.
Whilst light rain collects at corners of windowsills,
illumination from a crackling fire
bounces upon unpigmented mourning walls.

Silent weeping occupies microcrevices,
confined within the splintering memories.
The creaking of an antique rocking chair
melds with the restless nocturnal atmosphere,
of time no longer waiting in the shadows.

Sheer onyx fabric draped over photographs—
death came much earlier, not from hate or spite,
but to erase the endless suffering,
of years wreathing in perpetual chronic pain,
locked within fragile bones and a trapped mind.

So do not curse the gods, my dearest love,
nor get lost in voids of sorrow oblivion.
Know peace has now been brought to my tired soul;
I wait patiently until we are one again.

Premium MemberRainfall Reflections

A hush of gray descends, the world outside a blur
Of weeping glass and dancing leaves, a gentle stir.
The scent of wet earth and cooled pavement climbs the air,
As warmth from a steaming cup soothes away all care.

In her hands, a porcelain hug, the tea's floral grace,
Sweet steam whispers against the skin of her face.
The book on her knees, a weight of stories untold,
Its paper scent, a comfort, a history to hold.

The rhythmic drum of rain against the pane,
A soft, percussive melody to wash away the pain.
Each drop a tiny echo of a memory long past,
A life unfolding, too beautiful to ever last.

A sip of warmth, a bitter-sweet and soothing brew,
A taste of all the moments she has ever been through.
The cool ceramic on her palms, a solid, gentle feel,
The world outside is fading, but this moment is so real.

She closes her eyes and listens to the low hum,
The quiet symphony of the world she's come from.
The taste of tea, the smell of rain, the warmth within her soul,
The past and future merge to make her present whole.

Premium MemberO Rhyme, How I Express My Joy in Thee

O Rhyme! how I express my joy in thee;
but sorrow drains desire, and grace received,
depriving me of your vivacious sea
     of gilded imagery. I deceived,

for happiness and cheer leap from my page:
though melancholy, the womb of all odes,
the false bliss which bloomed in the soil of rage,
doomed me, and love, to life's despondent roads.

But I, both human and bard, now declare:
brave words inspired, but deep insight brought pain.
Like diamonds, forged by pressure and fine care,
bright hope reflect'd its glory, then healed my brain.

Hence, my rhymes, sung with new elation's blood,
build heaven on earth where only hell has stood.

Premium MemberThe Seed Of Fear - Cinderella

Ominous bays of hellhounds thunder in the bleak night
As a shattered glass slipper is found amongst powdered ivory snow,
The glint caught within incorporeal warping moonlight—
Leading to a blue grey corpse, mangled with frozen tears cemented in place.
Hands clenched around a copper timepiece,
The minute hand paused at one past twelve.
The putrid scent of desperation still hangs heavy in the air.

A note, scribbled in vermilion, is tucked within her bosom:

I'm sorry. I was overwhelmed—and so very lonely. She came to me with promises of grandeur. All I had to do was make a pact: be home by midnight, or my soul would forever be hers.

How could I resist? She seemed so innocent, with the smells of childhood lingering—conjuring up all that is glorious.

Besides, you, my dear family, seemed not to notice, nor care, about the pain quietly consuming me. So I took the deal, inked in blood and sealed with a poisonous kiss.

If you happen to find this note, I never made it back in time. And my fate lies within her mercy.

Still, We Rise

You smell like sweet roses,
But I've smelled the sweat of the weak.
 My sight is as keen as an eagle's eyes;
I see the chains, rusted from years of injustice, binding the meek.

Segregation tried to tear us apart;
Tried to break our spirits, but we stood unbroken.

Like Carlotta Walls, I keep my head held high,
 Disregarding the lies.
Even when the ground is unstable,
I feel the weight of all the cries,
But still, my will is unshakable.

Racism tried to steal our pride;
It tried to silence our voices,
But the roar in my protests shakes the sky.
Is it pain that makes you shy?

We taste the bitter ash of sorrow,
 Long, hard fights.
I hear the whispers of a dream—
Thunder-loud, like the King's words shaking the nights.

The statues speak, but they are silent.
They don’t tell the battles we’ve fought,
 The struggles we’ve survived.

Segregation tried to tear us apart;
It tried to divide us, but we remain unbroken.

Yet here we are, stronger than before.
 Like the Proclamation’s call, we break the chains;
The day will rise — not just with light, but with our truth.

Goodbye Yesterday

Did she wonder why ?
watching him in darkest sky
goodbye, with a sigh
does nothing last forever ?

did she cry today ?
watching him as he walked away
goodbye, then he asked to stay
didn't stop, a past delay

did she smile today ?
would her pain just step away
goodbye yesterday
make it last forever

did he hope today ?
did he know, if looked, he could
goodbye yesterday
todays ,the day, she hoped
..............................he would

What the Silence Hid

She smiled in rooms that cracked her spine,
where beauty bruised and grace meant lie.
They called her calm, not knowing this–
each breath she took was clenched like fists.
The silence praised was not her peace.
It was the cage. She found the keys.

Game of life

The game of life is fkd we supposed to value money so people get it by any means
then its from the cops we runnin and people doing life for sellin green to the ones who tryna escape by gettin high, they known as fiends...

an now they both behind that barbed wye and cut like seams
and in that cell its people who got more hooks than Kareem
but only thing they lookin forward to is money on they books and if you dont got a fam then even in jail you scheme
when you get out you need a money plan so its right back to sellin beans...
3 strikes its life you land all cause you were tryna build support for your fam like a crib with the beams

What blooms after burning

She was a field–
soft, wide, aching.
He was the match,
small
but hungry.

They met
not in spring,
but in that breathless hush
before things grow–
where hope is still half-buried
beneath frost.

She held the rain
like a secret.
He wore the fire
like a promise
He never meant to keep.

She broke
without a sound
He burned
like it was prayer.

and yet–
in the blackened soil,
something small,
something stubborn
began to bloom.

Smoke and honey

you trace my constellations
you put stars in my eyes
you whisper sweet nothings
which ended up being my demise
the sweet taste of honey you leave on my tongue
numbs the pain of the nicotine in my burning lungs
you say the lace of my garments traces my bones
but all i see is a girl way out of tone
it’s not the falling that scares me
it’s the outcome i fear
will you get better
or will you grow worse throughout the years

Torn Apart World

Feel like im 1 of 1 in this torn apart world, if i turn cold thats undone
seen with my past mistakes
nothing new under the sun, someone else has sat in this place
a world where we keep a loaded gun and a mask to cover our face
from pain we easily run i guess were scared of the mace
Showin love will get you hung, what a shame or disgrace
look what the devil has brung now were corrupted by toxic waste
speak evil in fears of them cutting your tongue, caught up like a rat in this race
And the flash of reel will have you stunned so in turn we walk away (real, reel)
Our thoughts we keep concealed, worried how the other portray
Like a rat running on a wheel till our bodies decay
My skin ill allow you to peel even if you poison my bod-ay
Im looking for something real like "whats outside of this cage"
Im bitin at the steel maybe one day we'll all escape...
You take a break ill keep biting till my body you cant resuscitate, I'll keep fighting till me and death got a lovely dinner date.
