There is no
real need
for people
to be mean
to innocent
people they
do not even
know and
a line must
be drawn
when many
people we
care for
are being
targeted
just for being
Black or Brown
while they are
out and about
and it always
makes me frown
at the
computer screen
and that vibe
gets me down
which is why
I choose to
detach mentally
from it all
and log out
so that I don't
feel spiritually
drained for
these petty
online conflicts
are not even ever
worth the clout.

Premium Member You’re ignoring me?

I see myself as fair and helpful
a friendly ally... so I'm surprised
to see me singled out and
ostracized from your bubble.

Perhaps I've insulted you
by not agreeing with your views
though I've gone out of my way
to be diplomatic and polite.

Perhaps I've not lavished you
with honours when judging
my contests with blind impartiality
and that displeased you enormously.

Perhaps I've given you a suggestion
to consider ways to improve your poem
and you assumed I showed arrogance
and deserve to be cut out of your circle.

I'll never know the reasons that justify
why I've been singled out and ostracized
and you obviously have no intention
to discuss or reconsider ~ it’s your call.

So be it ~

Anthem for the Golden Hour

Sing my anthem for these sun-kissed women's plight,
Their beauty blazes like sunrise through a screen,
When twilight's hush arrives, the lovers slip from sight.

From broken dreams, they claim the throne of night,
Their fragile love, both curse and silent mercy, still unseen,
Sing my anthem for these sun-kissed women's plight.

The shy one heals what cruel men disunite,
Her deep kindness flows where bitterness has been
When twilight's hush arrives, the lovers slip from sight.

Seducers chase the flash of skin, forget the light,
Of souls that shimmer deeper than the surface sheen-
Sing my anthem for these sun-kissed women's plight.

She bore his name, his child, the bruising bite,
And smiled through storms jealousy deemed obscene.
When twilight's hush arrives, the lovers slip from sight.

Yet even strong spirits bear the world's weight,
And fade beneath the hunger of the worldly scene-
Sing my anthem for these sun-kissed women's plight
When twilight's hush arrives, the lovers slip from sight.

Don't Ignore Your Intuition

A Whisper—soft—within the Mind—
That no one else perceives—
It taps—like Fingers on the Soul—
And rustles—like the Leaves—

We doubt—it is so delicate—
And Reason—loud and sure—
Yet Wisdom has a quiver—small—
Its Arrows—silent—pure—

Trust not the Thunder of the World—
Nor Voices—sweet with art—
For Truth begins in Footsteps faint—
That echo—through the Heart—

A Candle glows within the Dark—
It waits—though none may see—
Attend the Stillness—heed the Light—
Your Spirit’s Decree—set Free--

Premium Member Taught to Ignore His Feelings

he was taught to ignore his feelings
they are not important
you will be weak if you show them
keep them to yourself
nobody cares

the therapist was overwhelmed
her job is to get clients on a feeling level
his resistance was resolute

in ten sessions he had not slipped once
not smiled, not laughed, not demonstrated any humanity
nobody cares, nobody cares, nobody cares, going through his mind

He spent his life feeling alone and unappreciated
died young and alone
caused by the stress of knowing
that nobody cared
and his feelings were not important

Premium Member I Ignore Honesty

honesty yells into my ear
but I ignore her
because honesty has gotten me into trouble

she wants me to speak up
but I live in the world of savages
who would rather believe lies than the truth

I tiptoe away, letting us both down

To forgive is human too

Of what use again is my tear to you?
I plead, I cry, I try to soothe with care,
Yet you ignore me, and call me a fraud.
I know I betrayed your wholehearted love—
But if to err is human, then to forgive is human too.

Darling, paint the eyes

Every morning I paint a pair of eyes
to see the world for me—
Mines scream at
the sky fracturing into neon glass.

The dazzling eyes I painted—
I use them to fit in
the crowd dancing in chemical haze
—reasons left out at the gate.
I use them to study
the rites of smoke
—to ghost myself in every exhale.
I use them to ignore
the judgmental stare
—that inner child I silenced, it's always her

No good can come from spoiling the fun—
Darling, just blind yourself.

Shock!
unreal, unshaken disbelief.
Choice!
the people spoke,
democracy breathes.
What was promised—
a mirage,
a lie.
False hopes built to divide,
now shattered,
leaving many wide-eyed,
denied,
unrecognized,
lost in the wreckage of the unexpected.

A reckoning.
A trauma.
A truth too sharp to ignore.

No need indeed

Essence Poem.
No need, indeed, chaff and chatter,
Positive hocus focus, doesn't matter.

Thoughts From Above

Hey make yourself available to the Lord
He can't bless you if
He has to chase you more and more
Don't ignore His affection
And don't ignore His love
He'll have you sit beside Him
He'll share His thoughts from up above

Whisper

Hear a Zephyr,
A Whisper.

Nothing lasts through eternity.

Except for a Zephyr,
A Whisper.

Confusingly, they don’t want to see.

Block out the Zephyr,
The Whisper.

Why do they focus on what will no longer be?

Smile while you can, with every given day.
Under this beautiful sky is your own paradise.
Nature welcomes you when you appreciate yourself.
Reach the top of your "Aura", don't fall into the emptiness.
Ignore the superficial and the bad vibrations.
Sacrifice your life squeezing the best of you.
Earth is the place we know, our heaven to be embraced to.

Premium Member The House

Why can't they fix the roof that is leaking onto me
How about the gutters full of holes for all to see
My windows no one can see out of,I wish a real estate agent could find me new buyers
When people ring my doorbell I cannot hear it because it doesn't work
But when I complain they say I am being a jerk
Robbers enjoy visiting me, the locks on the doors don't exist
The family for some reason blames me when I am unable to resist
The holes in the floors need fixing, something you better not ignore
I am sure the day will come when somebody will fall through, shaking me to my core
It would be nice if someone could take better care of me
If I was to be fixed up I might last for eternity
