The older I get the more I grow
It’s apparent to me I do not know
There’s always something to learn
Keep on moving as the world turns
Why are instincts in animals so strong
To thrive and survive and carry on

Yet in some humans who have despair
Suicidal ideation thoughts are there
No one is perfect and minds can be
A source of pain a source of peace
Coloring life’s lenses we silver see
Sifting cleanses setting souls free

Do not forget in your pact with death
You may transfer pain to someone else
You must be certain that you persevere
Despite cherry challenges fuchsia fears
Lift up your spirits with the Holy Ghost
Always near us when we need Him most

let me love you again
in love with you in every way
in love with you in every way again
   things you are
   giving up
	giving you up
i need to give you up, but i know not yet how
why can't i view you as a friend
why can’t i get over it
		it’s been so long
   addiction
	my strange addiction
	my favorite man
   i hate you
   i am selfish
i know you didn’t do this on purpose, but it has always felt like
you did.
what you did.
maybe you did it on purpose, and i am gaslighting myself
	was that wishful thinking
	do i wish for vengeance
   why have you forsaken me
   where did you go
   i miss you
i miss you more than you will ever know
   forbidden fruit
   goodbye
   i wish you knew
i wish i had kept you blocked
i cut myself on the same rusty knife as last time
now i want to be dead
   it does not feel well
it does not feel well with my soul

the void

what should i do without you
the sound of silence kills me
those precious moments gather dust
life stands still in darkness
apple pie comes unmade, roses wilt, bourbon becomes water

i am waiting for you
leaves fall, my door locks
It draws near
as i drown in memory, my pen fades and the ceiling lowers
i rot, i sink

Premium Member My Silent Companion: A Sonnet for Shadow

In depths of solitude, I stand forlorn,
With shadow as my sole and steadfast friend.
By society shunned, from kinship torn,
I ponder on life's edge, its bitter end.

Upon the bridge, where thoughts of ending bloom,
My shadow's form beside me makes its stand.
This grim moment, midst the gathering gloom,
I gasp, “l'm not alone in this bleak land!”

For shadow's silent vigil, ever true,
Has walked with me through life's relentless strain.
In every trial, every triumph too,
He’s been my constant, through both loss and gain.

So, ‘neath moon’s light, and night’s cold embrace,
My shadow stands, my solace and my grace.

-Edward

For within you resides immeasurable worth!

You are not alone in this world.
You are not alone in the struggles of this life.
If you are having a difficult time, feeling overwhelmed and overburdened, there is help out there.
It is OK to share your struggles and talk to someone.

Premium Member A History That Breathes

History breathes as we awaken into each new imagination.
Did you think this was a life? It is the seed of every growing.
It is the wind and sand and rain storming. It is the pebbles
and fingers forming; the sun and the blood, and the leaves
greening, then browning, then gone. It is the snow of a single
season memorizing itself as frost formed upon a single missing
surface, always clinging. It is a difference; distancing us into
a distillation of our wish to become the knowing of our God
and to give ourselves the chance of choice over matter.
It is with great effort we become the softness of a thought
that endures; to make the imagination of permanence
a lasting measure and to make a history that breathes.

Afraid of guns, for I fear
I may end myself with one.
Afraid of fire, for I fear
It shall fulfill my long held desire.

Substitute For Suicidal Ideation

I was told to change my ways
lift the haze
or lessened were my days to follow
I try my best
to get out of my chest
that which makes reality hard to swallow

After a while
I wore a smile
that you and I were grateful to see
But what can seem sublime
will fall to time
and knock us to our knees

Sometimes we pretend we're fine
we make words rhyme
so its not a burden to read.
But it is too often
we wait for their coffin
before we see how much we let them bleed.

There are a few
that I always knew
would keep me in their thoughts.
To these men
that I call friends
you are the salvation that I sought.

Though still in pain
I am not the same
I have better ways to deal with sorrow.
Because even after rain
I stay sane
and have hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Ideation

Ascend through ambition
Consider through enlighten
Elegant through expression
Portray through gallant

Ideation

A fuzzy fear descends.
You become ensconced?
in the smell of a
paranoia.

The saltcutter will forego
the idiosyncrasy
and start collecting the oil
from the dome.

A stain on the shirt
spreads, covers
the heart in distress.
Codas were waiting.

Do not burn the book.
Go in a lily pond for a ?
script. The different shades
of flesh will be revealed.

The divine sin will ask
for a retribution for ?
the withdrawl syndrome.

My Ideation

In the darkness I hold your hand
In the stillness you're unaware
Though you're asleep, I'm afraid to close my eyes
Afraid that when I wake, if I dare
You won't really be there

Whispered confessions to you as you dream
The things I tell you that you never hear
If only my thoughts made a little sense
Maybe I could tell you and make it clear
And maybe my voice would keep you here

I know one day I'll look and you'll be gone
The place beside me empty, the space you left bare
I'll look for your hand in the darkness
In the stillness I'll be afraid to open my eyes and stare
Afraid that when I wake, I'll find you were never really there.

Mind-Ideation!

As positive energies collaborate
Let our minds elaborate
On stories waiting to be told
Ones only we can unfold
The beauty and mystery our minds contain
Welcoming new mind frame
It is no tame; incapable of laying blame
Never suffer it to be shame;
when our mind begins its word game
Thrusting-out towards those with same mind frame
Tame is not a word to be used;
when describing great mental muse
The one that creates the imaginations;
Thus forth fueling poetic creations
Of any epic creation, you stand first to take the race
Going for wind like a board guided to surf the waves of grace
Fresh air is your trace, as it brings us back to better time,
Allowing us to unwind and relax;
To finally dine on the sweetest of things
Epic creations are seen through creative interpretations
The ones whose minds are open to thoughtful considerations
The oceans of our thoughts connect on one lone island
Where you and I dine on the Divinity of our creative minds
Like Titans of our craft we create
This place of peace and relaxation
This haven we're creating;
Is our ultimate blissful destination!
