Premium MemberA Dedication to my Godson Carleton Halstead

A DEDICATION TO MY GODSON CARLETON What can I say, when I received news that you had gone to be with our Lord. I called you, but you didn’t respond. I asked our Lord many times to make a change in your life, but I didn’t expect this. My only hope was that I was a good influence in your life, and that you felt you could depend on me. I hate to see you go this way, but it seems to have been the only choice, if you can call it a choice. I will miss you terribly. So long, my dear Carleton. I will always love you.

Premium MemberGift From Above

You're such a beautiful woman
You're truly one of a kind
I always think about you
You're forever on my mind

You consume all my thoughts
Even those while I'm asleep
This is the reason I know
You're the one I meant to keep

Maybe you were a gift to me
A gift from God up above
To show me how to live
And to teach me how to love

I'm certain you're an angel
For me it's plain to see
You are the greatest thing
It has ever happened to me

Premium MemberNumber 8

Our love is the number 8:
A pair of circles
joined forever
by the touch
of a tender kiss.

We are an hourglass,
and our love flows like the sand,
each half ebbs but never empties,
each half fills but always has room
for more love to fill our souls.

It is no small miracle
that when you and I
walk side by side,
number 8 transforms us
into infinity.

Premium MemberForevermore

Forevermore: is there such a place
does it perhaps exist on a star,
or, lost in clouds of lavender lace,
a secret saved inside a glass jar,
memories from a time very far

Forever more is in childhood’s tales
There it flies on a butterfly’s wings
It’s never found amid windy gales
but always found in castles of kings
And is in the notes a mermaid sings

Forevermore is the promise made
when love lifts those to walk on clouds
and dance midst colors of silver shade
Where only loveliness is allowed
and happiness is ever endowed.

I will find you in forevermore
We’ll wander through lilac-edged skies
On a bird’s wing, we’ll fly high before
sending whispers in crimson disguise
to golden rays in morning’s sunrise.

Premium MemberWhy?

Why is the sky blue
why is the grass green
why can't I tell you
to me you are everything

Why does the world spin
why does the moon glow
why am I so afraid
to let my love for you show

I always been that guy
trusting me as a friend
I am just not the one
for your heart to win

Why do I feel so lonely
when I am alone with you
Why am I so afraid
to confess my heart true

Why are the stars so far
why is the ocean so deep
why can't I reach you
with my love to forever keep

Why do I hold you softly
why do I caress your hair
why won't I ever ask you
our lives forever to share.

Premium MemberBecause I Loved You

Love by itself was not enough to make me yours when it lacked everything that made it worth fighting for
I was breaking my bones carrying the weight of our love alone
But I guess I didn’t carry enough
I begged for you more times than I can count because I believed it was you I couldn’t live without
But you seemed to do just fine
While I was breaking down losing something that was never really mine
And I think you tried to love me the way that I loved you
But I loved you for who you were and you loved me simply because I loved you
As much as I hate it, it’s true
And sometimes I’m still sad and sometimes I don’t understand
But I’ll always know I deserve a better man

Premium MemberI Love You Like a Flower Loves the Sun

It comes naturally
You, needing me
Loving me

And unable to come towards me

I am not waiting
I am simply here

You never cross the distance

But you have always known where to find the warmth

Premium MemberBon Voyage

It's been a while, this much is true
But I still always think of you
Though not all thoughts are 62
I try to keep those to a few

Your hand I'll ask for on my knees
Your name I whisper on the breeze
We'll start our first trip overseas
With caviar at Tiffany's

Premium MemberI Love You, Granny Bertha

Even in death, as you laid cold but in peace,
You still had such a pretty, sweet face to me,
Like you, I hope I shall age just as gracefully.
Forever, my love for you shall never decrease.

You were taken from me so much too soon.
I'm recalling you as you were in each room
Of your home in which your soul shall loom.
I'll think of nights we spent, as I see the moon.

I placed a place mat for you at your seat,
I want to keep the chair pulled out for you.
I'll wash teapot when next year begins anew.
Your soul can sit with me: have tea and eat.

Even in your absence, I fondly remember
All of the times we'd laugh, talk, play, argue.
Even as I cry, I can't lie, I'll always love you.
I'll take care of all you left me and my father.

Premium MemberWarm as Toast

On cold and frosty mornings
I'll always keep you warm
Snuggle up real close to me
And fit into my form
My arms will wrap around you
I'll hold you oh so tight
Then wake you with a gentle kiss
Under blankets, out of sight

Premium MemberThe Truth Is I Love You

I may get so argumentative sometimes,
But the truth is I just miss you really,
I just wish you were here at all times,
Because I know we love each other truly.

I may get so melancholic in secret,
But the truth is I bear your same doubt,
I just wish you'll realize I shall never regret
Choosing you to be who I can't live without.

I may get so insecure in certain moments,
But the truth is I am just willing to tell you
I feel as you do too; just giving my two cents.
I want you to know I love everything you do.

I may get so emotional in conversation,
But the truth is my words are all devotional,
'Cause you're worthiest of my admiration.
So always know, my love for you is eternal.

Some day may you read all the words that I wrote
Some set to music, my heart note for note
Published, not published, those spoken or un
So that you may know you were always the one
But for now, and until, here's a few for the way
Come back anytime and remember Andrés
He wrote what he could and he wrote what he knew
And he winked and he smiled when he wrote them for you

Premium MemberNever Think I Am Untrue, Because I Love You

I knew I will forever always love you,
When I saw how no other people will do.
No one else ever truly wanted to do
All of the things that you greatly do.

I knew I fallen into this deep love for you
Ever since you spoke words so true,
Because then I was saved from my rue.
Your love is my gift that was long overdue.

So I write all of these poems to show I too
Will always love and care only just for you.
I am afraid to ever again become so blue
If you are to ever think separation is due.

So please never think I am being untrue,
Because most of the time all I think of is you.
Every day, every night, I long for you too,
Just as you want our love to follow through.

Premium MemberYou Are The One

I've nothing to gain from you,
For your love alone will always do.
I've no reason to have any fear of you,
For your reassurance helps me through.

I've got nothing to hide from you,
For your mind can always see through.
I've no reason to ever want to leave you,
For your love is my blessing long overdue.

I've got nothing but my love to give you,
For your heart deserves a love that is true.
I've no reason to ever accuse or hurt you,
For your soul saves me from a life so blue.

I've got nothing left to lose, so I choose you,
For you are the one matching my auric hue.
I've no reason to ever replace you,
For you are the one who truly loves me too.

Premium MemberI Love And You Loathe

I adore
And you abhor
I love
And you loathe.

I love you forever
And you loathe me
Regardless of your demeanor
I will always show pity.

I love you with a passion
I adore you with devotion
Love is a panacea, a remedy.

I adore you and you abhor me
I love you and you loathe for no reasons and no grounds
Mind you, karma knows no seasons and no bounds
