The stars are jellyfish,
The planet is a cloud.
Now our only wish
Is to touch the ground.
We live in space
In a hot air balloon
Longing to see the face
Of the Man on the Moon
ONE
Marlboro in flight
Distinguished bud hold ropes tight
Driving, smoKING sight
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
TWO
Cremated bud ash
Flew on inflated blimp gas
Product, sponsor pass
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
THREE
Airport told ‘shut down’
Cigarettes, coming to town
Balloon bud just found
Politicians are paid as a last resort
to attend the summit accomplishing nought
but flap their lips expose their gums
feed their face and fill their tums
all the hot air they expend
I don't exaggerate
discussing climate change in the end
will only exacerbate
the ongoing problem long-since forming
a future foreboding of global warming
for every page and pamphlet printed
put in the post or stuck on walls
about ecology and saving the woods
it seems to me yet another tree in the forest falls
and I believe for every drop of acid rain
a flower dies
somewhere under the darkest skies
a new-born baby cries

SILK SERAPHS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
morning's fiery edge ascends~
kaleidoscopic procession of
pinks, blues, yellows catch my eyes.
above me, a fleet of silk seraphs
claim the cerulean sky,
sun's warmth igniting their ethereal sails.
the silk seraphs easily glide~
like dreamers across celestial skies,
they drift along effortlessly.
burners' gentle roar, a soothing serenade~
the ballonists soar in burnished metal baskets
while passengers wave as they pass by.
above quilted plains, tiny silk thrones reign~
like my wayward thoughts
they meander carefree.
the wind gently carries them higher aloft
then…..pooooof….they vanish.
magic comes with dawn’s first rays.
Excitement built up,
riding the hot air balloon
with my two daughters.
Turned to fear for falling fast,
bounced on the ground, and then dragged.
The frightening ride
happened in New Mexico
sixteen years ago,
did not dampen my spirit
for riding another one.
Felt no excitement
nervous from the prior ride,
calmly went for it.
Magic moment in the sky,
view of sunrise and balloons.
Voted recently,
Grubberment's hot air balloons,
Blind faith--each way bet!
Trust me it's the thrill of a lifetime
A rush of air against my face was sublime
What joy life brings
Tugging on my heartstrings
And all this warmth before teatime
My new dryer
is defective.
I told the supplier
and a detective.
Socks go in,
but not all come out.
Lint comes out,
no doubt.
What could it mean -
as socks unseen,
and lint, to a percent,
are equivalent?
As clothes toss,
I incur loss -
a hot air curse
'til I put it in reverse.
The majesty of hot air balloons
Surpasses the soaring clouds above
Gliding through the air with ease
Like gentle hugs they succumb
Colours unmatched in their scope
East to west the sky is filled
With a spectacular medley of music
And moments of amazing spirit
In this open season of divisiveness and hate,
our President is being diminished like fish bait.
People forgetting his accomplishments and character traits.
They lack empathy for what's been on his plate,
show loyalty to the one facing a criminal fate,
that one who is afraid to debate: the liar,
the racist, the cheater, the snake.
The hot air balloon they elevate.
Hot air balloons were escaping from the house
Coming from every slither and slat like a mouse
They rose from the doorway into the wind
Colors of turquoise, orange, yellow, all ascend
Where had they been? Where had they been?
Some came from the windows, others from a crack.
They floated up gracefully, and none wanted back.
I watched their colors go up in the sky.
They were gorgeous and plentiful.
I wonder why?
.
Hot air rises
Balloon flies high above
In my imaginary flight today
Dreams come true when mind set
Let's leave this earth's dismal scene
Freedom to follow currents anywhere
Freedom, if only for a few hours
It could have problems though
Current way too swift
Gas run out too fast
Big hole, pow
The fish were excited to see the hot air balloon cat.
They agreed to come along, one brought his blue hat.
Once attached to the bottom of the basket they flew
Through the air to Michigan, maybe Kalamazoo.
This is great! The fish agreed with each other.
Until the cat pulled up their father and brother.
No one came back down, which seemed odd to them.
By the end of the ride the cat was full, said story teller Jim.
oversized gloating hot air balloon
case of morning gluttony
bigger than Donald Trump baby balloon
one that gloat’s over your orgy
Once when I was traveling across azure sky,
I was startled to see a lone giraffe going by,
It roamed with grace, head up in the clouds,
As if born to be remote, from earthy crowds.
In my hot air balloon, I got a bird's eye view,
The giraffe looked straight into my eyes, too!
I went all around the world in my red balloon,
Yet, that was the finest sight, like June moon.
