Hello Darkness, my old Friend

Hello Darkness My Old Friend
This world is full of .
Go some place off the grid.
Don’t waste time searching for me.
Time to return to the grave.
I didn’t ask to be here.
Sometimes you just want to disappear.
 Hello darkness my old friend.
 Soon we will meet again.
 The dead will wait

Hello Darkness, how did you shroud my love,
And desires once ablaze, now silent as a dove.
In this world of echoes, a symphony of hush,
A realm of whispers, where emotions blush.

In this abyss, where shadows intertwine,
I navigate the corridors of pain.
Yet, even in the heart's dim, shadowed shrine,
A glimmer of resilience dares to reign.

Please lift the

Hello Darkness -- Sos

I walked into you with wide-open eyes,
Your softly creeping gloom invaded my dreams,
Lingering and hastening the oblivion;
Hello, Darkness.

Doubts and confusion paved my way
Leaving room only for shadowed rain.
Unexpectedly, a gleam of light shattered my illusion
And broke the darkness.

Now I walk in light and see desperate people,
Thousands, yearning to be heard above the fray;
Silently they scream

Hello Darkness

Hello darkness...you're not my friend.
You're always lurking...around the bend.
You flash your smile...and you pretend.
That you're my deepest...darkest friend.
You fill my days & haunt my nights.
Blocking any glimpse of light.
Sometimes I'm barely holding on.
Is it really darkest before the dawn?
I’d hold the towel tight & not throw it in.
As I wait for light to filter

Premium MemberHello Darkness, My Old Friend

My pain,

Hides among,

Beautiful darkness,

Betwixt cracks,

In my smile,

Tears,

Sometimes,

Fill those cracks,

And drown the pain,

For awhile,

My old friend,

I call you,

Out again,

Hoping,

You'll never,

Learn to swim,

In pools,

Of...Silence.

Hello Darkness My Old Friend

Hello Darkness My Old Enemy
Take some time to collect your thoughts inside
The playing field is rough yet we have nothing to hide
Shallow promises made in the dark have come to light
With regard to mental illness we all struggle with the issue
Perhaps we haven't bitten far off then we could

Hello Darkness

Hello darkness we meet again
I walk the cobbled streets
Listening to the sounds of the raindrops falling
Watching people writing songs and poems through the sounds of silence
I see a neon light fly above the sky
While prophets of the words were written on the bus shelter.

Hello Darkness My Old Friend

Hello darkness my old friend
Nice to meet you once again
I didn’t mean you any harm
Why the cause for this alarm

Darkness led me to a place
I couldn’t even see her face
It was cold and empty space
Filled with torment and disgrace

She led me down some corridors
And I found myself on the moors
She whispered silently

Hello Darkness

Hello darkness
Bring me into your light
Where I feel safe
And I feel al right
In behind the shadows
I'll let you see my soul
I'll no longer hide
I'll tell you everything you want to know

Naked in front of you
Blanketed in blackness
Good-by reality
Hello to madness
Where I can be strong
And I can be sane
And I feel nothing
From love to pain

I've learnt
