Quote : "

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence"

Excerpt from Simon and Garfunkel Song

----------------------------------------------------------

Hello Darkness, how did you shroud my love, And desires once ablaze, now silent as a dove. In this world of echoes, a symphony of hush, A realm of whispers, where emotions blush. In this abyss, where shadows intertwine, I navigate the corridors of pain. Yet, even in the heart's dim, shadowed shrine, A glimmer of resilience dares to reign. Please lift the darkness veil, let feelings soar, Give my heart wings, let them explore. In the quietude, let friends and foes reveal, A tapestry of colors, emotions to feel. Let the world unfold in vibrant hues, Breaking through shadows, dispelling the blues. Yet, if you persist, linger in a heart's recess, A cancer confined, a silent confess. Hide in the corners where light may not tread, Let not your darkness spread in thoughts widespread. For I seek brighter days, a sunlit embrace, A canvas of hope, a dawn to chase.

As your beautiful poem states Jay, only love and light can eliminate darkness. Your words ring a truth as you endeavor to dispel darkness and allow the light to shine. A splendid poem on the subject of darkness and the veil that keeps it in. Loved your poem my friend.

Great song, and creative poetry from its inspiration, Jay. You embellished the thoughts that were introduced in the original song, and I enjoyed the way you thought about those lyrics. Thanks for sharing my friend. Bill

Jay--your poem was poignant and touching. I lack adequate words to express my admiration for your carefully chosen words--words of raw emotion and a desperate searching for resilience in the abyss of darkness. Grateful that you seek brighter, more colorful days. I wish those for you. Thanks for sharing your vulnerability and your powerful poem. Sara
