Prayer for the 8th Commandment

Oh Father God, You have commanded us not to bear false witness

This I must, this I observe with carefulness

For You hate those who make lies

It is not healthful like a vice

Oh Jesus Christ, help me not to be a liar

Lying and false accusations can ignite war

To the Lord I confess everything that is true

From the Lord comes the truth for me & you

Oh Holy Spirit, help me not lie & falsely accuse

This is God's command, this must be put to use.

Amen.

Premium Member Veggie Pizza

Veggie Pizza, my favorite-
Enveloped in soft, stringy cheese.
Generous with broccoli sprouts,
Grated carrots, and mushrooms too!
Intermixed with sliced red peppers
Embedded in white pizza sauce.

Plus, it makes me feel extra well
Ingesting vegetables and fruit!
Zestfully, with a glass of wine,
Zanily adding healthful grapes!
And there! I have a balanced meal!

Noise And Peace

Both aired, but unalike
Processed of minds.
Anarchic; sane.
Harmful. Healthful.
Both aired, but unalike.
First, last, seethe. Lull.

As devils, as angels
Enfolded by.
Street and track-walked.
City; parkland.
As devils, as angels.
Morn, eve, expand.

Pure Imagination And Fantasy

There once lived a one eyed girl who had twenty twenty vision
she used her imagination each time she turned on the television

One peeper would sleep while the other one looked and looked
through a slit she did perceive each dream her mind had booked

Viewing the world from an angle of one hundred and fifty degrees
her reverie was safely tucked inside an eye of healthful protease

A whimsy girl that she was with a soul that always gave thanks
in a dress of Eiffel Towers, one eye saw the other drew blanks

Monocular hallucination, she'd often see things that weren't there
and when she saw something she liked she'd pluck it out of the air

Visualization of the highest order, fluid as the wild Pacific Ocean
creating pure fantasy with one eye open, as the other one slept.

JUNE BERRIES

Juicy and sweet, these berries delight,
Unique flavor with a hint of almond's bite.
Native to North America's land,
Eaten fresh or dried, both are grand.

Baked into pies or made into jam,
Enjoyed in wines, a treat for the fam.
Rosy bronze leaves in spring's embrace,
Rich in nutrients, a healthful grace.
Indigenous peoples cherished them so,
Essential vitamins they bestow.
Saskatoon berries, nature's gift we know.

Premium Member Delphic

"The forest is my loyal friend A Delphic shrine to me." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I lie upon the forest floor
In motion with the lull
Of the wind’s instrumental snore
Around and stretch curiously null

Growing use to its poetic rhythms
Of nature’s calmness and peaceful
Trees of yesteryear strum hums
Walls that embrace and healthful

Its mysteries diversity unclears
Diffusing rainbow sunlight over me
Sounds become orchestral tears
Echo a moment and flees, an epiphany

Premium Member Green

"But green's the color of spring
And green can be cool and friendly like
And green can be big like a mountain
Or important like a river or tall like a tree"
Verse from Bein' Green by Andrew Bird, sung by Kermit the frog

Grasshopper, caterpillar, praying mantis, gecko, and iguana
Really healthful veggies and fruits like grape, apple, pear and lime.
Eyes like mine, fields, tennis courts, and plants like marijuana!
Emeralds and jade, Kermit, Hulk, and Shrek, and yukky slime.
Nature wears it best with trees and leaves, and ivy that can climb.

Premium Member Autumn Beyond Doubt

A feast of eye-catching hues swirl midair,
stoic fragile leaf a chill whisper,
overt orange, deep vein red,
pallid yellow, scaly amber,
jumble upon bright clad jumble,
earthbound mattress on a grey mud plot,
bald cypress, Norway maple,
crepe myrtle, pin oak,
shed their raw-hewn splintered twig,
amid the waning sun in bleak morph,
late August and September tread,
damp weather bashful pilgrimage,
acorn mulch stuck between the grooves,
of rugged footwear on limp moss,
along harvest ripened pastures,
hardy toilers lay their white ash scythe,
they reap, gather and proudly stack,
turnips, pumpkins, squash, beet, zucchini,
lifeblood to thriving market square,
rustic idyl diet, whetstone oven backdrop,
whiffs of healthful soup simmering,
bowls scraped, hunger sated,
red ember coal fire glows,
aromatic haze taunt the frozen nose,
symbolic fall eon meter pending,
 still a buoyant risen spirit

Premium Member Zucchini

I do not like the taste of zucchini,
          so might I please suggest
      we have instead fettuccini?
                    That dish has zest!

Zucchini is considered a veggie
          very healthful for you,
but I’d rather get a wedgie
                    than eat that poo!

Baked in cakes or bread, it tastes good to me.
          Sweet is better than raw.
      Eating it plain should be
                    against the law!

All Seasons

All seasons are healthful,
                but we can succumb
                of so much love before
                summer heat...
We can let ourselves be contaminated
by the discouragement of autumn and
                become tired of idyll...
                But we can gather bones
                and feelings to warm up
                the winter cold...
                We must not exhaust ourselves
                by the immeasurable pleasures
                of spring...
               We can live in luxury
               all seasons...
               We can preserve the gift
               of each and do
               the balance...
               It's the ultimate in life
               that we should learn... !

Earth Seeks To Entertain

"The sounds of Earth Is the Music of my Soul"

Earth Seeks to Entertain

No sound pleases me like falling rain.
When it drums on my roof
It banishes my every pain.
Its little drops both cheer and sooth.

When it hisses majestically out there
And I'm keeping warm indoors
It makes me want to show I care
And I thank the heavens, its source.

Thunder also talks to me
Whether it growls, rumbles or cracks.
Of greatness an epitome
Alone such awesome power packs!

Waterfalls are no less wondrous,
Especially when they are multiple.
Their clamour is continuous,
Playing for us a natural fiddle.

Out in the veld when I hear a croak
From the husky throat of a crow
It dresses my soul like a cloak
And I think: "What a show!"

There's a myriad of healthful sounds
That Earth seeks to entertain with.
The list of these knows no bounds:
Sounds of Earth that scare or sooth!

Conversations on this message
Are exchanges of meaning about
A message with no meaning..
In this manner religious seeds are
Planted which distort the
Full-on simplicity by placement
Of word fences and adherents..
Departure from conversations
May be a healthful antidote..
Another may be an expansive
Stance of welcome to all
Conversations as already not
Excluded..which Poetry Soup
Would likely prefer..

Premium Member Vegetables

Valued for fiber and
Vitamins are lovely
Veggies grown world-wide in
Valleys, fields, and gardens.
Vast is their array, and
Very healthful are they.
Vegan style's all the rage!

contradicting rank media allies

My Life In Seconds

In my eyes
So beautiful and amber brown
You saw the blood dripping down my cheeks
Like mountain dew drops.

In my heart
So genial and benevolent
You saw the pains hidden in my pride
And tearing me apart.

In my words
So soft and soothingly amazing
You heard dejection, insecurity
And rumors of suicidal tendencies.

In my life
So divine and healthful
You saw that I'm dying to live
When I'm just living to die.
